Hello all My wife and I have bid on many Auctions on Max Sold and won and Lost. Be we have gotten some really great deals. So Max Sold please keep up the Great work you do.
Thank you Chris Glover
I had to get rid of a lot of household items when downsizing to a condo. Maxsold was the best solution. It was so easy and saved me from a lot of back breaking work and expense. Thanks so much!
Great sight only thing I would change is saft close it really sucks that 3 minutes are added i know it is good for the sight but I feel like it drives up the price
For the last couple of years I bought several items from Maxsold but everything changed.
On July 19.2020 I went to Auction #******* which was located 5 Sawgrass street, Jackson NJ ******* to pick the items that I won. When I got there I met the Maxsold rep "Audrey" and gave her my receipt. She looked for the staff but she couldn't find them. The owner was at the site so she asked the owner where are the staff. The owner said that she had a handyman working on the house and he probably took the items.
The Maxsold rep "Audrey" apologized to me and she told me when I get home to fill up the refund form and I will get 100% refund. After driving an hour to get back home I filled up the form and submitted to Maxsold.
Next day I called my credit card to let them know that I will be getting credit from Maxsold so they don't charge me any interest. The amount of purchase was $19.62.
Three days later I tried to login to my account to put a bid for an item and I received the message that my account was suspended. I submitted the form twice for reinstatement but they were denied. I called Maxsold several times but no manager was available.
"Your account was suspended due to a charge back that was initiated for a purchase you had made with us. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the suspension we are unable to reinstate your account.
We hope you will find other opportunities with other organizations, but we cannot continue to conduct business with you due to the risks inherent with having you as a member of our MaxSold Community.

I've been fortunate enough to get a lot of things through auctions that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to find. Great site and great way to find treasures
The site isnt worth the hassle. Auctions can be cancelled last minute and measures can be put in wrong by the sellers.
I have been using the MaxSold format for online auctions for the past 7 months. I have enjoyed every moment of the auctions. The staff does a wonderful job administrating the auctions!
Maxsold was my first auction experience and I have been going to their events ever since. The people are great, very organized and accommodating.
For buying I use them continuously. I get some excellent deals. They also have one of the lowest buyer premiums online auctions at 15%
The first thing you need to know is that MaxSold pays people for positive reviews, contrary to SiteJabber's T&C's. They started doing that after my first review - one of very few at the time, and very negative. Suddenly, they got lots of positive reviews, many of which specifically refuted what I had posted.
So who would give MaxSold a positive review? Buyers are often willing to do that, because many of them got real bargains, paying perhaps 1-5% of an item's true value. MaxSold DOES NOT have all the bidders they claim, and most auctions end up with a large number of items with 1 or 0 bids.
Compare the reviews by Buyers with the reviews by Sellers. Nearly all Sellers will tell you MaxSold lied about the customer base and how many bids there would be and how much money they would get for their possessions. When you complain, they point to fine print in the contract. Most of us sign that contract under duress - a family member has died, or some other major event is the reason we are selling the estate. Bottom line: no matter what fine words you were told, in the end EVERYTHING is the seller's responsibility to clean up. Things stolen? Seller's problem. Damage to house? Seller's problem. Items never sold or never picked up? Seller's problem. After paying MaxSold several thousand dollars, it cost me several thousand more to restore the house after they left. Meanwhile, a solid silver and crystal chandelier sold for $75, and I was supposed to be happy about that.
So, if you're a buyer who doesn't mind taking advantage of other people, you can get some bargains IF you know what you are doing since the item descriptions are made up by people who haven't a clue what they are doing.
If you're a seller, find ANY other option because MaxSold will cause you nothing but grief.
MaxSold approaches all files with the outmost respect and professionalism, and we make all our past auction results available for all to see. You can find the past auction results here: www.maxsold.com/past-auction For the above client, please see the results here: http://maxsold.maxsold.com/auction/926 You will see the items did fairly well (Metal Wall Art for $500, Outdoor metal furniture for $111, and even folding tables for $115). Items that didn't sell are heavily damaged TV stands, headboards with scratches, worn recliners with holes and other similar items that doesn't have market value. We set our expectations with this client, and kept them updated on our progress. There is no way to satisfy a client who expects an unreasonable service outside of what was agreed upon, and goes out of their way to make lives difficult for the business - even though we went out of our way to accomodate the client's timelines. Please see our instagram account instagram.com/maxsoldinc to see how we handle clients files in a consistent and professional manner.
Great customer service and also wonderful staff! Bid at 2 separate auctions and had a blast! Will do it again
Hi Darrell, Thank you. We're looking forward to it!
We were downsizing from a large 5-bedroom home to a 3-BR condo. We had already moved all of our favorite things to the condo, and much of the best leftover furniture had gone to family. We were left with many items that were used but "serviceable", along with some highly specialized items. We invited an onsite estate auction company to take a look, and were told we should "hire 2 dumpsters" and not bother with a sale. However, we knew that we had a house full of items that had a lot of life left! MaxSold was terrific to work with. During the catalog phase, we had two excellent photographers, who were diligent and detailed including the backs of items and specifically the scrapes, flaws and rust spots. The arrangement of lots showed the mark of an insightful and experienced team. The proof of this was that 98% of our items were sold, and our house was emptied within 5 hours! Communication with the headquarters team was excellent and transparent throughout the process. The gross on our sale was $4775. Although MaxSold keeps a hefty percentage of the proceeds, it was still great to keep our possessions out of a landfill, know that things will be put to good use, and make a modest profit in addition. I would definitely recommend MaxSold to a friend!
Perfect way to clear the contents of a house. The MAXSOLD staff group the contents into sensible lot sizes, take photos and voila everything disappears.
I just called and spoke with Jamira. I attempted to inquire about information about MaxSold services. Jamira, spoke to me in a very rude and disrespectful tone of voice. She over-talked me and did not give me an opportunity to ask questions. After a few minutes of being spoken to in a harsh demeanor I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, I was told by that I would have to sign up first in order to speak with a manager. "Because they are very busy. I am a 77 year senior citizen and felt that I was mistreated during the phone call for no reason. I am sharing this incident on this platform due to not being allowed to speak to a manager. I do not want this to happen to another senior or person. Young, frustrated staff workers like Jamira has no place in a corporation such as MaxSold, they do not represent the company in a positive light. I regret calling this company. I will report this situation to the Attorney General's Office, to the BBB. And all other agencies.
Respectfully,
Rosa L. Robinson, R. N.
Hi Rosa,

Loved buying with max sold - much better value than buying brand new, and the items I buy get a second life which is very environmentally friendly.
I love the online auctions that are local to me. So may fun and functional items and I've met some interesting people through them.
I've actually used this auction website for awhile now. You have to pick up the items, but in return you get it cheaper than anywhere else.
I love MaxSold! SO many great deals! Their staff is always friendly with me and try their best to help out in any way they can.
The team at MaxSold was kind and helpful during this whole process. They answered all of my questions and I will definitely use again!
Thank you so much for the review!
We are so pleased you have enjoyed the auction process.
Answer: The site states clearly that you must pick up your article at the specific time and place. If you cannot do that or arrange for someone to do it for you... then don't bid.
Answer: Definitely not on their youtube channel as they've removed the ability to comment. This alone was enough for me to steer clear.
Answer: Please see our past auction results at http://maxsold.com/past-auctions/ - every auction we've done is listed for public viewing. You will see the sell through rate for each auction, and you can calculate the percent sold. Our average sell through is 98.7%.
Answer: Winning bids are charged to the credit card on file right AFTER each auction ends, along with 10% buyers premium and the applicable retail sales tax for your region. The first time you bid at any of our auctions, your card will be pre-authorized for $1.00. However, it is only a bank authorization for validation, not a charge, and it is usually removed in about a week by your bank.
Answer: Hi Peter, We found that when minimum bids or reserves are put on items, they typically go unsold. For more information on why we start our items at $1 check out this link: http://maxsold.com/reserve Here are some Seller FAQ's https://support.maxsold.com/hc/en-us/sections/200632154-Seller-FAQs You may also reach out to our sales team directly at our toll-free number 1-877-257-7799 ext 2. Answer: $700 + 30% if they do the photos and pick-up. If you do the work on your side it is $300 or 30% whatever is higher. It is near the bottom of this link. https://get.maxsold.com/sell-with-maxsold/
