Hidden fees, hidden subscription, and not friendly when you go to the support so they have only want your money
Starting in November of 2024 MYCLEANPC starting double billing me through my Paypal account. I am not in this office much and have not checked my Paypal account in many months as I have auto debit. When I checked recently I noticed they started double billing me back in November. I called the company and asked for an explanation and they never really gave me a good answer. I asked for a credit for the 3 months extra charges to no avail. So, I just cancelled the entire subscription. They don't care. I'm just a number
They charged me for MyCleanPC LiveTech, which I never authorized. It was a monthly cost of $21.55. I finally realized it on my bill after 3 months of unauthorized charges. Iolo.com canceled the contract but would not reimburse the $64.65 they had charged me for a product I never ordered.
I purchased an annual subscription to MyCleanPC. Subsequently, I have been billed a follow-up $19.95 monthly "service" charge that I have not authorized. This is highly unethical, in my opinion. Make sure you read all the fine print before giving this company your credit card information, and monitor your statement for unauthorized charges.
I have repeatedly (3 times over 2 years) called and asked for the service to be discontinued as I no longer own the laptop that was running slow. Today, I received another email saying they are going to charge me a $250 renewal. I do not own the computer, but am told that until I remove some software then they CANNOT cancel my subscription. This is criminal. Avoid this company at all cost!
Downloaded paid. Banner pops up call one 800 get activated. Called all I got was lipservice and tried to sell me more products. Software scrubs all passwords every time it runs have to reset all to party if indications. Tried to turn off not user-friendly. And do not ever trust a company that has tech-support with the first name Prince!
Wouldn't have minded so much if I had paid only the advertised cost. However, I called in like the screen said when installing. The representative took control of my screen and tried to sell many many upgrades. I told him no to all of them. However today I was billed an additional 21.35 for a service I did not order. I contacted support for a refund and she said she could not since the system already charged me.
I purchased the service for $518 - the sales person and the website states there is a 30 refund guarantee - I did not use the service and tried to cancel after 7 days and they refused to refund me the full amount - also they were rude!
Soft ware works but with a yearly subscription to the software they sneak in a monthly charge of tech support and refuse to refund u once charged. Not once did i use the support and everytime i called 50% of the call consisted of them trying to upsell me of this scam company.
Be aware they are going to sneak a monthly $19.95 charge on that is in the small print... Not worth the money. They would not refund the monthly fee when requested with a few days of the fee showing up on my credit card.
We are sorry to hear about your experience but we will refund the purchase as soon as possible! We will reach out soon.
I have grown tired of you playing with my computer. If you had customers you would not have the time to play on my computer. I am meeting with my bank tomorrow to discuss with their cyber personnel. You need to work harder at getting customers than playing games with people too smart to sign up with company.
MyCleanPC charged me $19.95 after I had cancelled. The original charge was $202.78. I cancelled because their service was very bad. Their online person (Tech?) rumbled through my computer and placed many emails and other documents into a vault. They told me these documents were unsafe and needed to be placed in a vault. I tried to extract these documents from the vault but could not. I called back and even their 'person' (Tech?) couldn't help me. That person told me I had to PAY-MORE to talk to someone to extract the documents from my 'vault'. I paid more, but even the Tech(?) I paid more to couldn't extract the documents from the vault. Thanks to MyCleanPC I lost a lot of very important documents.
Yeah, it worked but the $19.95 monthly fee is a ripoff. I couldn't get the app to start and just called to cancel. Got a hard sell on identity protection that just wouldn't stop. There's $40 bucks down the drain. There's freeware out there that does registry cleaning as well, MyCleanPC just has a flashier interface.
I think this company has taken into consideration all of the disgruntled concerns from earlier on. I tried them, with the gut instinct that my laptop's issues were revolving around one download error (done by a nanny while I was at work, but nonetheless just one error) and Kelly, my agent who helped me confirmed that it was only one issue. The software for $19.99 removed the problem, and the next scan showed no issues at all after I used the software to remove the program that was infecting my device. She did her job pitching the online technician, and I had to decline but the purpose for which I needed the program was indeed served. I am one of those people who will wait until a brand new product is market tested, tried and refined before I'll touch it with my money though.
Be very careful when you sign up for a My Clean PC software only account for $19.99 a year. Even if you do not desire the service, their website purposely steers customers into a tech support program that has a monthly charge. Thereafter, they will refuse to refund any of these fees unless they occurred in less than thirty days, so watch your bills closely.
Even if you finally straighten it out that you only want the yearly software, each renewal the company intentionally places you right back in the same tech program with a monthly charge that you specifically opted out of before because you did not want it.
Then once again, if you don't catch unexpected charges on your credit card bill, you are stuck paying for services you never used or wanted because of their company-friendly less than 30 days refund limitation. It's quite a racket, so don't get caught up in their deceptive contrivances.
This is only one of many problems. Be aware!
Working on thanksgiving videos I had audio but no video. After several hours and getting no where I called and your man fixed the problem quickly. Excellent service. Thank you so much. God Bless. Ron McTaggart.

There are a lot of companies that offer this kind of service, but for me knowing I could get a human on the phone anytime was the most important. Happy to report they are there always and my computer is finally running fast again. Good stuff!
My computer was running very slow. Went to website for advertised "Free Diagnosis". So I followed directions for "free download". Instructions of software to run a scan for errors showed something like 800 errors. So I'm directed to activate the software which costs me $ 54.67 in order to correct errors then I was connected with a tech which kept telling me how bad my errors were and he didn't know if they could fix them or not but he would put me on hold and talk to another tech. Of course he came back to advise me they could fix it but the price would be 299.99. I became very suspicious by now and declined. So now after taking over my computer for 15 minutes or so I don't know all they did to it but I'm going to have to take it to a real tech & get it fixed. I'm also going to dispute the $54.67 with my credit card company. My recommendation is to stay from this site!
Thanks to everyone for helping me avoid this website. I think the best solution is to find a reputable computer tech where you live and then have him or her service your PC when it has a problem. This has been my solution and Wayne (my tech guy) who has a small store always comes through when I need him. Price: about $100, but I know where he is and he stands behind his work.

The company's reputation is characterized by a mix of positive and negative feedback. Customers appreciate the effectiveness of the software in resolving computer issues and commend the availability of human support, which some view as a significant advantage. However, numerous complaints highlight unethical billing practices, including unauthorized charges and difficulties in canceling subscriptions. Many customers express frustration with upselling tactics during support calls and inadequate refund policies. Overall, while the service can provide value, the company's customer service approach appears to require significant improvement to address billing transparency and enhance customer trust.
