Love this place!

My favorite Maurices is their Brownsburg location. Maybe because that's the first one I went to or just because the employees are all so nice and always helpful! Sara is the one who helped me the very first time I shopped there and I love her! I love them all! And I always get compliments when I wear what I've bought there. The Maurices line of jeans are now my absolute favorites!

Poor Customer Service
November 10, 2020

Made a purchase from Maurices back in December 2016, never received a statement. Moved in April 2017 and updated my address by phone, information did not update in their computer. Maurices Customer Service never tried to contact me by phone, & my account went to collections with interest accruing at a rate of 27.99%/mo. I was charged $268.81 in interest fees. I contacted Maurices, got no where, contacted collections agency and have pleaded with them that I am willing to pay part but not all because I didn't know about this but I have been told that I am responsible for all. Never will I buy anything ever again from Maurices and will urge all my friends to not shop there. Worse customer service ever! They do not even deserve a 1 star but I have to give them a rating!

The quality of their clothing is very poor from even a year ago, and the photos are deceptive as to the actual article of clothing. Maurices was once my favorite Shop, but not anymore. I will not be shopping there anymore.

I have always made my payments online. In February, the company changed hands and I was shut out of Commenity's website as they no longer serviced the account. I called in March and was told my card would arrive soon. I was told in May that I could pay over the phone for a $9.00 fee. Mind you the local Maurices was closed, I had no access to online payments, and I did not have my new account information. The representative then said we could use the automated system but would not give me my information so I could do this successfully. I finally got April and May payments taken care of and asked a late fee to be removed which they complied. In efforts to make this easier going forward, I asked for information on my account so I could set things up online. I again explained I have no online access, still no card, and would not entertain the $9 fee. At this time, the local store had limited hours which were the same as my business hours so I could not go in a store. Finally in July a representative helped me to access the new online system but it was 3 days after my payment was due. I was fully prepared to make my final and full payment so my balance would be zero. I asked if there would be a late fee and was told no. Low and behold, I received an email today that my account was overdue and I have two late fees, one from July and another from June with small service fees that are making up the $54 balance in my account. I had no reason to seek an amount for payment as I had paid my balance off in July. This is poor customer service and I will not waste one more minute by utilizing the services of Maurices. I spoke with a supervisor Tracy today who made excuses for the transition, told me it was my fault things were late as she could see online was established July 13 and the late fees would not be removed. She is correct, after 5 months of frustrations and asking for my new information, I finally got a representative willing to help and that was 3 days after my payment was due.

I absolutely adore shopping at Maurices.com as well as at my local Maurices store in West TOWNE mall in Madison, WI. Online and in-store staff are so friendly and helpful at all times. Thank you for your superb customer care.

I have never received the order that I paid for and the customer service won't help me with that telling me to claim to FEDEX. They won't help me neither so I have continue to call several times Maurices and they don't seem to care, telling me they will call me back wich they have never done. I am not satisfied at all with the bad customer service. I won't shop there anymore.

Slow shipping

I am not satisfied at all with maurices, I ordered about 5 itema on 5/25/20. It has been 2 weeks so far and I have not received my items. I called to check on the status of the order and was told that the items have not even left the warehouse yet, she said it could take up to 2 more weeks. When I make a order online, I do not expect to have to wait a month to receive it, this is poor customer service!

Jeans

Ordered a pair of Jean's, when I recieved them they still had security tag on them. Cant get it off of course. Called store they wouldn't help. Now I'm stuck with the Jean's that I can not wear so if I were you I would buy somewhere else

The sent my purchase In two shipments to the wrong address. I caught the first one two days before delivery and called them. I spent over an hour on hold and was told to contact the carrier to have it rerouted and she hung up on me. I called the following day for assistance waited on hold for 45-60 minutes four separate times and couldn't get through. Called back on the day it said it was delivered to me. I was on hold for 3 1/2 hours. At the same time I was waiting on their online chat which took 51 minutes to get thru and I finally hung up. That person told me to wait 10 days from the date my package was delivered to the wrong address and they would refund my money and then I could repurchase the items. I asked about canceling the second shipment because it hadn't left their warehouse yet. I wanted to have it sent to the correct address. He told me they couldn't do it. I'd have to call. UPS. Now it's been 10 days since it was delivered to the wrong address. I contacted them through online chat and it took 53 minutes to get a rep. Requested a refund since it had been 10 since my package was delivered and again they tell me to reach out to the carrier to have it rerouted. I told them I want a refund and she told me the system won't allow it. So I am out $150 and no clothes. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and she said she'd forward my concerns to the next available Supervisor and I'll be contacted at their earliest convenience. I asked if it would be through this chat and was told yes. Then 15 minutes later she asked I needed anything else to end the chat. I demanded a supervisor again and got the same response as earlier. After an additional 30 minutes on hold for a Supervisor I finally was promised a refund. It better be a full refund.

Worst customer service and just plain regular service. Overpriced with bad service. Never again. Them refusing my request for a refund due to not receiving my items is unacceptable I dont care what circumstance. If you dont ship I get my money back 0 questions asked.

I was treated like dirt after they shipped to the wrong place. Double checked my address, it was correct. Angela at customer service was disrespectful and indifferent to my concerns. Even bragged on herself. I used to rely on this store. I'll never go back.

Whoever designs the clothes for plus size must be 69 yrs old and blind! No plus size person want huge flowers, horizontal stripes, short and wide shirts, or shirts and hang to your knees. Bring back the designer from five years ago!

I went to the store on the 19th of March 2020, the door was closed around 13:40 and with no sign stating that they will open probably after 1hr or so, then I thot maybe they closed the door on purpose... Then I went and open the door, then the African guy came and shouted at me... " we will open after lunch!" I asked what time is after lunch? He didn't even know, he kept on saying after lunch... That was very disgusting! I don't think I will shop again in this store!

Livid customer

Went to the Liberty mo. Location to shop. 3 out of the 5 items that I picked to buy off the 75% off rack were in the wrong location. Needless to say when I went to buy them I found out & they wouldn't make good on those items. I also have spent hundereds of $$ there & haven't recieved rewards. Every time I bring it to their attention I get the same answer which leads to nothing. Also when I got home with the merchandise I did buy had the security tags still on them. I do not live in Liberty. Such a hassle & inconvenience.

It is the holiday season and my daughter is overweight, looks black but she is biracial and need larger sizes. She use to enjoy shopping at Maurice in Ypsilanti Mi, Arbor land mall, however, she had recently notice on her last 3 visits that the staff including the manager refuse to greet her. She would try to get help and was ignored. My daughter notice that the staff would go out of there way to greet and help the wife customers. So to prove that this is the case, my wife who is white went into the store with my daughter and the staff greeted my wife and offered to help her with whatever she needed. I plan to call corporate office and if this is not address then the BBB and if possible the media, this sucks in 2019.

When shopping in your stores in Canada the store clerks are always saying if you don't see it in the store just order your size on line. Never once did they mention that you pay for shipping as well as duty on Canadian orders. There is only one web site. Also it would be nice to know that when placing an order wether or not the item is no longer available. Instead of being told two days later and order has been shipped. Not impressed with my first experience in dealing with this company.
