I appreciate the easy to use website and that things arrive quickly, too.
I've used them several times.
One Christmas, I had to top up my shopping with some last minute gifts... they had indicated an order deadline to ensure delivery before Christmas and true to their estimation, everything came in time.
The only reason I've given 4 stars is because one of the 6 items from my last order does not correspond to their size chart in the slightest. I've yet to contact them to sort out but I'm sure they'll handle it well.
Ordered ladies trench coat and ladies top by their recommended sizing. They came in one package. Both items were too large and wanted to return. Their return policy is to deduct $22.50 for each item returned. Absolutely misleading when they advertise no hassle return policy. Never buy on-line from Marks & Spencer. It's a total costly mistake!
Two orders placed on 12/10/2022 and 14/10/2022 show confirmed in Status. But, on repeated calls and mails. Do not say why the order has not been dispatched or cancelled. The money was paid through my credit card.
Very disappointed.
If you like dead flowers then this is the place to go.
My lovely family ordered flowers for me from M&S for Mothers Day. They arrived by courier this morning. I think they're lilies, but it's hard to tell. They were in a box with a plastic bag over the flowers. The stems were very dry and the leaves and flowers were dead. Some plant food was enclosed, but it would take more than plant food to revive these specimens.
I have contacted M&S, but as yet have not received a reply.
Institutional Racism in M&S! M&S advertises itself as a tolerant equal opportunities' provider. This is factually incorrect and a completely false statement. People from ethnic minorities are treated differently to their white counterparts when it comes to pay, promotions, fair treatment, working time regulations, basic human dignity and recruitment. For example, in Peterborough store where the ethnic minorities accounts for nearly 30% population. However, I have witnessed how people from ethnic minorities were not given equal opportunities. In store out of the 120 colleagues, people belong to ethnic minorities is under 5 people. I have seen this across many stores of M&S. Similarly, in senior Management in stores you would never ever find ethnic minority colleagues. I have worked 15 years for M&S and have never seen a Graduate belong to ethnic minorities, when 2018/2019 statistics show the First-Class graduates among both white and ethnic minorities are 30% and 24% respectively.
M&S cannot be bothered to pick up returns then don't bother information customers how else to do a return. No apology given, no explanation, no compensation. Just rude staff and no offer of alternatives. Won't be using M&S again
Going to do a shop at Marks and spencers, I am very disappointed to find the dates on most fresh food including the bakery dept are short lived usually to be eaten within 2 days. I like to shop midweek for the weekend but unfortunately I am mostly not able to do this. I have completed this with most other supermarkets. This is very disappointing.
Today bought some new clothes in the Ayr store at15.35 today Tricia the assistant was extremely helpful as I had vouchers and point coupons to use and she helped me with these. I was pleasantly impressed with the new range of "summer" clothes. Long may this store grace Ayr High Street.
When buying M&S shoes recently of which I have always purchased a size 4.5 shoe that has always fitted me perfectly, I was shocked this weekend when I tried on a size 4.5 shoe only to find that it was too lose and with wear in time would definitely fall off the heal of my foot, I tried a size 4 which was it little bit tighter than I was normally used to but I have purchased them hoping they will stretch a bit with wear. I don't know if M&S have changed there supplier or the company who manufacture the shoes they sell but there shoe sizes have definitely changed which is a shame. I hope I don't have to change my store where I buy my shoes and start buying my shoes at another top shoe retailer that does half sizes.
Yesterday afternoon me and my partner went for a coffee and some lunch at the café Marks and Spencer's Crown Point Shopping Park. Having found out recently that I have celiac disease I asked Michael about options and he was very helpful and a happy person, then and there we had a good banter. The both of them couldn't do enough for us. Haven't seen service like this in ages. They are credit to your team
I bought 5 pairs of ladies trousers. They were all fit well, we're well put together and of quality fabric. They are all exactly as pictured. The buying process was very easy, delivery from UK to Australia was within the estimated time and delivery was also free because my order exceeded £30. Only negative is that there isn't a currency converter at checkout, but this isn't a deal breaker for me.
I don't like going to Marks on the high street. Too many old women doddering around the store, clogging up the aisles. So, I shop online. Always find my size and happy with the quality -I'm not a prolific shopper here - just the essentials, bras pants and comfy bed wear.
Like I say, this company has a serious high street image though. The food is way too expensive to justify and clothing has a feint whiff of lavender and mothballs about the place.
I enjoy shopping on M&S, I can always find something I want, but then I have to checkout.
I do everything online and I like to think of myself and fairly savvy, but their checkout has fooled me several times. I think I'm done, walk away from my tablet or pc, wait a few days, wait a bit longer and my stuff doesn't arrive. There are just too many steps in the checkout - you think you're done when you're not.
When I do get it right, I love the clothes! :)
As you are now doing so well and posting that profits are up...isn't it about time you considered the customer! START SUPPLYING BIODEGRADABLE OR PAPER BAGS!
You must have seen the hundreds of complaints about service. Long long time ago it was amazing... tissue and items were packed for you. Now they are nearly thrown at you - even after spending hundreds of pounds - and you have to carry them off. ALL good shops now packing with paper or biodegradable bags.
COME ON M & S MAKE AN EFFORT...
Don't shop at Marks and Spencers stop are rude. And the staff are over priced such a#s £25 for a family sized lasagne. I'm surprised they are in business. Absolutely disgusting
Yesterday my wife went to M&S Market Street to return a pair of school trousers that she bought the previous day and were too small for our son. The woman at the till was very rude to her because the shop label was missing. My wife would rather have someone that politely explain to her she won't be able to return the item (even though she got the receipt and the hanger) than to have a sales assistant being aggressive, moody and rude over such a small thing.
Beware an M&S dressing gown as it can transfer dye onto your leather sofa. This cannot be removed. M&S do not attach a prominent label to warn customers of this. They put a one line warning on the washing label which they rely on as a disclaimer.
Please be very careful if thinking of buying this product.
Awful experience today. Strood branch. Accused of not paying for my sandwich in front of everyone and escorted to the side by the security guard until till was checked. And then apparently staff girl "India"? Indigo? Her name said I stole a tiramisu?. No apology after, made me feel violated, embarrassed like I was a criminal. Funny I seemed to be the only coloured guy in the store that day., total racist, unprofessional, abusive staff. How can they get away with doing this to people
Bought 2 yellow. Stickered items and was not told by assistant that there was no refund or exchange. She was having difficulty with the whole transaction for some reason. M&S response " policy stated on receipt". But the purchase had been made when you are given the receipt, so it's too late then. Really appalling customer service from M&S
I purchased two items from Marks & Spencer because they advertise "easy, low cost returns" for international customers. But when my items didn't fit I found returns extremely complicated and expensive. The website states, "Free returns for PayPal customers" so I followed the convoluted instructions, but in the end there was no option to return ship through PayPal. Shipping cost me CAD $72.22 and Marks & Spencer refused to compensate me for any of it. This pricey and complex system around shipping makes it prohibitive to shop with from Canada and I will never do so again.
Answer: Nooooooooooooo... The food is no better quality than aldi... And is over double what you charge...
