What no 0 star to give?:-) I had purchased a theme here without receiving any support throughout installing it on my business. I requested a refund and they entirely refuse to do so. They offered me credit and were literally telling me that my explanation did not warrant a refund. But in their policy it clearly states it differently! Horrible! Shopify and PageFly are light years ahead of these guys. Just horrible!
The idea behind purchasing themes and plugins through Envato is to save time. This only actually works when the items they sell work 100% as advertised, which many of the most "popular" ones don't. You will waste even more time trying to get your money back, because Envato attempts to stall the process for a month. If you do a charge-back however, you will have their full attention, but they will lock you out of your account and anything else you have purchased through them (and not just the disputed item) will no longer be available.
I did not choose the 12 months cheaper subscription option because the once off expensive option was sufficient. Yet today 18 August 2019 another R 502.00 was charged to my credit card. ABSA credit card division informed me that Envato.com is not a secure site. Be careful.

The download wouldn't work. I tried every effort to contact them with no luck. They will not respond to email and there is no way to get any software support if you're having problems from the website. I disputed it with paypal and of course Envato responded to them and said it was downloaded. So obviously they were both a bad choice on my part. Save your money!
If anything positive comes for this site it's paid for. Meaning they will up-sell their own scam site. Just to lure you. Do not buy ANYTHING from this site. I purchased a photoshop action that did not complete properly, said I lacked too many files. When I tried to contact the owner, then request my money back. They got despicably rude. It's a sad world when we must rely on websites such as this to determine the quality of a business.
I am completely appalled by the horrible after sales service provided by your company. I have been such a long time member and feel completely gutted to be treated so unfairly. The developer has agreed to provide a refund and your company has repeatedly denied me a refund because of some "payment gateway issues". No replies to the support tickets or Messenger at all. Now you have completely locked me out of my account and deprived me of future updates to all the plugins I have purchased previously. You will only restore my access IF I call my bank and cancel the credit card dispute. This clearly was an error on your part so shouldn't you folks own up and take responsibility for it? Shouldn't issues be reviewed on a case by case basis and action be taken accordingly instead of just enforcing a lock for everything?

I dint do my research on this site before I made a purchase, well according to my credit card company I've made 3 purchases. I feel like the Authors are making good reviews on themselves as I made inquires and everyone I talked with told me what a mistake I've made by using this site.As I have enclosed a picture of 3 downloads of the same app that I was said to have made on different days.
You are not purchasing from Envato, you are purchasing from code 'authors' via Envato (that's how the story goes when you have a problem to try to deal with). So purchasing is a gamble, despite the claim that products are 'quality tested and verified by Envato' who take no responsibility for that claim. Roll the dice (pay your money) to find out if a product even works, then waste your time fussing around with a lot of garbage before discovering what it often is - garbage. Place your money in fire and watch it burn.
If I can give them o stars I would. I asked for a refund same day I bought and 6 times now for last 2 weeks, going round and round... They need to be put out of business. There business is to take your money... period
Terrible customer service. They say they will refund you if product you are getting from them is faulty or broken. So we proved them. After all the hassles they tell they wont return money, only give you credits, probably to buy another broken product. Not recommended
Bought 2 plugins that did not work.
Emailed the developer and support team within hours with the error codes.
No reply from the developer on the errors or how to fix it.
Have now been mailing back and forth with their support for more than 2 weeks.
They just stall the time, keep asking for questions what was already sent and simple do not want to give a refund.
From the reviews here multiple people have the same problem to get their refund.
Plugins don't work properly and when I asked for a refund they simply declined it. I believed in fake "positive" reviews and that was a mistake. Pity. Absolutely do not recommend. Waste of money, time and nerves.
One of the worst companies on the internet. I had an account with them for 10 years and I had bought many templates from them and then one day after 3 faulty attempts to login my account was suspended! After I tried to contact their support their reply was that my account is permanently suspended because of their policy and that they could not say anything more! The problem is that I have subscription with them and websites that need upgrades from templates I have with those bastards.
Waste of money and time! Don't get into this if you are a beginner! They are not friendly in accommodating of anything! Plus the merchandises/programs that MOST of the authors sell are NOT clear that you would need subscriptions to yearly purchase of another program. Again, I would not recommend unless you really know your stuff and can easily spot the difference between a file and a program.
The worst refund policy and time consuming business on the planet... I suggest you go and find plugins or themes elsewhere away from Envato. They totally delay in refunding your money, keeps your refunded money in credit and trying to access this is a nightmare indeed.! Had to open a paypal resolution just to get the ball rolling. Stay well away from this company, do yourself a favour.
They sell poorly coded, poorly documented, & poorly supported themes written which they claim are quality checked. They ignore requests for refunds. The only way to get your money back is a chargeback through your bank, and they will retaliate by blocking your account so you can't access any software you've paid for. They are absolute scum of the internet.
Wish my designer had read up on this company before spending my money. Now I'm wasting my time on disputes because the themes are advertised as doing things they just don't do, and are missing necessary files to make them operational, with ZERO accountability from the sellers or the marketplace.
Oh, and yes, if you file a refund dispute, you will get your account locked INSTANTLY. Of course, they will send you an email saying it's for 'security purposes', and if you 'close any disputes', your account will be restored.
I was a long time purchaser from Envato Market and was a happy customer.
Then I purchased "Hello Form Builder" from them. I tried to install the software but it needed an activation code (which I had). It wouldn't activate so I wanted to contact support from the author. Turned out the author didn't offer support! Just the fact that they would let people sell things without support should be enough to make anyone question buying from this site. Then I challenged the charge on Paypal, still awaiting an outcome. I bought something totally worthless because I can't install it. Now... to make things worse, Envato Market froze my account! So everything I purchased from them is now without support and I have lost other functions through loss of my account. I will now file a claim on all my purchases from them! Ridiculous behavior!
I have previously bought several plugins which NONE of them have worked properly! Their so-called quality checks of the plugins available at this scam market is a F** joke!
To top it they don't even refund you. They add credit to your account, so that you can buy another worthless non-functioning item you don't need. This is the closest thing to a scam I've seen in a long time
Purchased a theme through these folks and could not get it to work. They referred me to the author of the theme and I had to contact them through this cumbersome login process on some other website. Very confusing and unhelpful. Tried to get a refund and ended up having to get my credit card company involved. Not a great experience.
