Absolute nightmare... do yourself a favor and buy from a proper business. So here is my story. I ordered a $2800 ($3200 with tax) camera bundle online on August 29th. Sales calls me the next day and I make it clear that I am going on a trip on Sep 18th and I need this delivered before then. They assured me that the camera would be shipped asap and that I would receive it in 2-3 days way before the deadline... 12 days passes and I keep checking my email and mailbox and nothing is happening. I call them several times just to find out that the payment hadn't gone through and they forgot to send an email or call me that my item was canceled... no respect for customer at all. Anyway sales enters my other card information and this time they confirm that it went through. I was told that the item would be shipped on that day and a tracking number will be sent to me right away. As expected by this point I didn't receive a tracking number nor an email saying I put in an order or any indication of the new order... On Monday the week after I had to call again around 5 times, wait for minutes get bounced around to find out they hadn't shipped the item yet... after several tries and starting to get frustrated they promise to send the item and send me the tracking number. I receive an email that I will get it on Tuesday. I also got a tracking number that doesn't show anything because the item was shipped from the US... Tuesday comes and goes and as you guessed no camera anywhere to be seen. Calling again on Wednesday they tell me I will probably get it by Friday which is the last day before I leave... So the order that was put in on Aug 29th is still not delivered and I am not even sure I will get it on time... online orders are supposed to be easy and convenient but my experience with this company has been anything but smooth. It has caused me so much stress, frustration, time and energy and I still don't have my item and I am not even sure if this ordeal is over or not...

I ordered some new camera gear in a package that came with three lenses total, two batteries, the camera, tripod and all the accessories, etc. I was skeptical at first but within four days I believe, my package was shipped within Canada and through UPS out of all places but it got here. Everything accounted for and everything is working great once I tested it all for myself.
Honestly, I did not expect such great service. First, the price was amazing, way lower than others, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I ordered an ND filter, which arrived fast, great quality, BUT I ordered the wrong size (my fault), I sent an email explaining my mistake and asking if they carried a step up ring. I DID NOT GET A REPLY, INSTEAD, I got the step-up ring couriered to me with a couple of days, free, no questions asked. I will absolutely use these guys again! This is fantastic service.
I ordered an expensive cinema camera because they said they had stock. 2 weeks later they still haven't shipped anything. They now say they are waiting for stock yet their website still says everything is in stock. To make things even better when I talked to a sales associate when purchasing the camera he said they would ship it that day. Not sure if they know how to tell the truth about anything. Trying to get a refund so I never have to deal with them again. Stay far away from these guys. SCAM SCAM SCAM
Maple leaf photo is a complete scam I placed an order for a lens, my money was taken I did not receive the product. I tried to reach out to them but have received no response.
MapleLeapPhoto.ca is a Scam. I ordered a Canon Lens over the phone and they assured me that they have it in stock and I will receive it within 5 days. They sent me a UPS tracking number but the tracking number says that UPS has not received any such item (only a label was created). I contacted MLP and they insisted that the product has been shipped from the USA and is in custom clearance by UPS. Then I contacted UPS and they said this seems to be a scam and they would have known if the item was in custom clearance. I then called MPL to cancel the order but they have been delaying the cancellation all along. First they said the order was cancelled and I will receive a confirmation by email, but I never received anything. Also their customer support transfers you to different extensions without a final resolution. I checked their online reviews and found the same kind of issue with almost all of their client. The Visa transaction refers to a company in the US but the you buy they don't tell you that items are being shipped from the US, but from their local warehouse in Dorval (Montreal).
UPDATE: The item was shipped late in the same day I have sent them a formal notice by email (in the morning).

- The company is not registered in Quebec Enterprise list (NEQ)
- The company is not registered in Canada Enterprise list
- The phone number on their website (514-667-3569) is a Quebec phone number and this is very hard to get them, if not possible
- The phone number associated to their bank transaction information which was given by my bank (1 347 960 6805) does not answer
I have bought from them once: they told me I will receive the item soon, they have created a shipping label online and they told me they have shipped the article, everything was done on their hand, which was untrue. I have confirmed with Canada Post that the item was never shipped. They are processing your credit card as soon as the order is made, not before shipping.
I have filed an ongoing claim to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and my bank.
I paid $99 to have a lens shipped in 2 to 3 days for a job I had to travel to, lens didn't arrive on time - 2 days late. When I returned home, I opened the box to find the lens didn't fit my camera - their description didn't say it was full frame. They won't refund my purchase because it's been more than 30 days. It was my 1st purchase from them when I was in a bind, definitely my last due to not being helpful.
Made a large purchase and they charged my card the day I ordered but then did not ship it for 2 weeks. When it arrived there were items missing and items that were not the ones they advertised. I emailed them well over a month ago about the missing items and they said they would ship them right away... still don't have them and will probably never get them. I definitely would not ever deal with these folks again even if there prices were cheaper.
Very shady outfit, wouldn't be surprised if some of the 5 star reviews were fakes. BEWARE!
I bought the Canon 80d package plus I added a Rode microphone to the purchase. When I received my package it came without the Rode microphone ($249.99) and the 75-300mm Lens included in the package. They told me I should receive both items in 2 weeks. 3 MONTHS LATER I still hadn't received anything. I spoke with 3 separate people and they all said they would call me back and let me know what's going on. None of them did! Finally they decided to Refund me. I just received a $350 refund today which is ridiculous! The lens in question sells for $249 on their site and so did the Rode microphone. I should have received a total of $562.74 CAD. So unprofessional when dealing with customers and just a sketchy company to deal with. But somewhere else!
Placed my order, waited a few days and did not get anything back saying if the order was shipped. Emailed twice, I then received a cancelation email with zero explanation. Terrible customer service.

Ordered the Nikon D5300 bundle, went bad from the start. Was made to call them two days after they told me the order had shipped, so they could try and sell me extra batteries, was hung up on mid sentence when I said no thank you. When I got the package I found they had sent a D3500 instead, called them and arranged to send the camera back have the correct one sent to me. They received the camera six days ago and still not heard anything back. Called them three days after it got to them and just got fobbed off with "we'll send you an email when we send it" and still nothing from them three days after calling them. Will not be buying anything from maple leaf again. Plus, the bag in the bundle that they said was large was actually a medium so could barely fit the camera and a small lens in there.
I bought more than $4k for mirrorless camera and lenses.
They suggested me to buy battery and memory card. I bought them but I asked refund for battery in few hours. They told me they can't refund it. I was so surprised. They said I have to receive it first and. Return it. They werent even shipped. I said I spent more than 4k and why I can't get refund just one small thing. They said it is only $60 so just pay it. I couldn't believe what they were saying. It doesn't matter it is only 60.40. I just don't want it. They finally refund it while I was preparing my war through credit card company. I got $60 dollar refund. Without tax. Before I got refund, i told them make sure it has to be $60 plus tax. Omg. They simply ignored my email. And also I asked many times to provide me refund receipt. But they said they can't provide it. I called them because of tax. Their attitude was why you want to get refund tax. It is only $7.80.

First I'll start with the owner. All jokes aside I thought it was an old grumpy grandma that answered the phone, later to find out it was a male, I guess who doesn't give a sh** about his job. Then I was told that it would take a week to get my item I ordered, it's actually going to take at least two weeks. I contacted them to find out about my order, and I still haven't received a response, and it's been over 3 days. I do not recommend this company, nor will I ever shop here again. Definitely buyers remorse.

Today received a Canon 60-200mm lens purchased online from Maple Leaf Photo. It appears to be a "white box" product but this is not specified on product page. The product did arrive in a white box not a Canon product box. Very disappointing.
Company did not enclose a receipt for the purchase nor a copy of their one year warranty. Why not send or email a receipt? Is this company above board? How do I prove purchase was made? All I have is my transaction on credit card. Credit card not happy with this.
My credit card shows a US base for the transaction. Is this really a Canadian based company as promoted?

Product seems to be OK and credit card company told to bring to a 3rd party to verify if this really is a Canon product. Frankly, I don't know and based on the company's response... well?
Gave three stars as I did receive the product in a timely manner. It appears to be a legit Canon lens but until verified by a third party, it may be a knock-off.
Answer: Hit and miss. I have been on hold now for 45 minutes waiting for their customer service.
