They will not reply to your emails asking about a refund. It took 3 months for my refund to be processed. I thought they scammed me because they ghosted me in the communication process. I have never seen such an unprofessional company.
I ordered a camera lens on Feb 1. They charged my credit card immediately. They still haven't shipped it 7 days later. I have emailed support and no one responds. I call and no on answers the phone. This company shouldn't even be in business
I have not had the bad experiences of others but it was not the best either. I ordered 3 cameras and the price was great with fast shipping so all good there. When the sales guy offered to take 25% off batteries, I added one extra for each camera. Unfortunately these were aftermarket batteries and not the original Panasonic batteries I had expected for the price I paid. The discounted amount is the same I would have paid to buy them myself from Amazon so clearly no real discount, just shady sales tactics.
I ordered a camera with the seller promising it would come on time for my trip but when it didn't, he at least had the decency to cancel my order. Went on my trip & came back to a camera in the mail, sent it back & am still waiting for my $1100 refund a month later. Ben said he'd do it today, but I haven't received it yet. Don't buy from them!
Avoid at all costs. Seriously. They will charge you immediately. Give you 0 info, say they tried to contact you when they didn't then cancel the order and never get back. Trash company. I trusted them because it's a Québec address, but when I went to Maps / street view it's not even a real business. That's what I get for trying to get a good deal I guess.
I ordered a D6 this week and choose Maple Leaf Photo based on product availability and price. I received the product today so no issue there. However, I thought something was odd when I noticed that the product box had a slight crease to it. OK but now realize that this is likely a grey market product. Why? Because no legitimate Canadian retailer would A) send an instruction manual in English only and B) have a charging cable that is 330 v as opposed to 120 v which is what we have here in Canada. Now, if I was travelling to Singapore I would be set. Not sure what to do - maybe put aside what I saved for future repair costs as likely will not be warranted by Nikon Canada. Good thing I did not purchase Maple Leaf's Photo's extended warranty. Based on what I'm reading now, it will likely be hard to get them to honour the one year warranty if anything happens.
I purchased a bundle package for my son for his birthday. The site said there was stock so I ordered it. Nothing came after a month, so I called them to find out what happened. The associate said they were out of stock and that they should be getting more in that I should get my order in a week or 2. I waited still nothing I checked site still says they have stock in. So I messaged them to find out what's going on now its been 7 weeks and still nothing my sons birthday has past and nothing. I get an email this morning they cancelled my order and I will be reimbursed 1-5days. Do not deal with these people most likely you won't get what you pay for. Now here's hoping I get my money back they seem to lie about everything else.
Wow. Stressful experience thinking this was all a scam waiting over 2 weeks that they said they shipped the day I bought it. The item was sold out in all shops so I was desperate and ignored all the red flags Many phone calls because they didn't answer emails. I tried so hard to be nice like I was sweet talking a monkey that stole my cell phone from my backpack once. In the end the Mapleleaf monkey gave me my stuff. Supposed to be a signature to accept package but arrived when I was out of town and sat on my porch all day open due to poor packaging and rough handling. Very surprised 8,000 dollars of gear was all there. I think luck was on my side.
Beware of this "company" I ordered a camera from them and the next morning I decided to take a look at their reviews (learned my lesson to always look before hand) once I looked at the reviews I was accepting my loss. Then I looked at my bank statement and realized it didn't go through. My bank card had got locked and blocked some how. Thank God. I called them this morning to make sure the order was cancelled. Although they did answer very quickly, you can just feel the unprofessionalism the whole "company" has. The man answered the phone saying "hello" didn't even mention the company name, his name, or the department. Ended up cancelling the order for me. Just beware is all I will say. Thankfully my experience didn't end up like everyone else's but I 100% learned my lesson.
Ordered a lens online and phoned the company to see how long delivery would be as i paid $30.00 for expedited delivery. The person told me he was taking the order over to shipping immediately. 4 days later i get a email with a UPS Tracking number for the item shipping from the USA. Ordered Dec-13-2021 with a 3-5day delivery i paid extra for. Tracking number says delivery not till Dec-29-2021 which is 16 days and no guarantee that will happen. I have now read all the terrible reviews and i expect to receive something in a white box probably broken and not what i paid for. I have contacted Mastercard and they guarantee i will be refunded the full cost on my card if the item ever arrives in bad condition or is not what the web site advertised. Anyone paying cash would never get a refund from these scammers. Maple Leaf Photo is a fraudulent company and should not be able to operate in a Country like Canada.
I waited a week after ordering my camera and didn't get a tracking number so I called them and they said the camera is out of stock and I have to wait another week before they even ship it. Even then they couldn't give me an exact date so I'm left waiting. Which would have been fine but they didn't tell me it was out of stock. And they didn't offer me anything for my inconvenience. Instead I got attitude from the customer service… They said there's nothing they can do and hung up.
Seems like this shop is fake or a scam. I wanted to order a fuji lens as their price was the best on the market in Montreal. Before ordering I wanted to make sure the shop exists and I called them on business hours. No answers. I drove to their shop that finally looks like a generic warehouse next to the highway, closed again and no answers. Not buying there!
Purchased a Nikon lens. Arrived DOA. Called multiple times, and never received a return authorization. Support email address is a dead link. No after-sales support. My advice would be to purchase from a legit dealer like Henrys or Vistek
Ordered a GoPro 10. Didn't ship it.
Didn't return money to visa, either. This company is not negotiable by BBB. Not answering the bbb claims. Visa insurance is acting on behalf. They said not cooperating to return money. Police report filed.
I was skeptical ordering from this company as I never heard of them. However I was familiar with the address of their Montreal mailing address so I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I Ordered a hard to get Fujifilm camera, as it was on backorder almost everywhere else on the net. While their website noted my item to be in stock, it wasn't, however they offered me the other available colour. Once I got a hold of customer service via Email and sent a few stern emails, they had a live person call me to address my concerns. From then on, I received excellent service. I made a follow up call to their support centre and someone actually answered and addressed my concerns with the delivery times. Overall, I think you can rely on this company to deliver however I wouldn't rely on their website for what's in stock. Their pricing was 100$ less expensive than the competition for the camera I ordered. I was pleased with that. The item received was in mint condition.
Ordered a pair of headphones that were advertised as brand new but received an item that had either been previously opened or refurbished. The company could not fulfill its refund obligations.
I ordered some new camera gear in a package that came with three lenses total, two batteries, the camera, tripod and all the accessories, etc. I was skeptical at first but within four days I believe, my package was shipped within Canada and through UPS out of all places but it got here. Everything accounted for and everything is working great once I tested it all for myself.
Please save your hard earned dollars, neither they delivered my product which was supposed to be received within 8 days and then cancelled after 2 weeks still waiting for a refund about 2 weeks now.
Pathetic Customer Services as nobody will pick up your phone. Buy from legit shops like Bestbuy or similar even pay 10,20 bucks more but buy peace of mind.
I 'purchased' a $1,500 online item for video production because it was $13 cheaper than the competition. This was a mistake that I have come to regret. Over a week went by without any shipping/tracking info, to which I responded by sending several unanswered emails to their 'customer service', followed by several phone calls that went nowhere. Multiple people told me they would 'call me back', 'speak to their manager', hung up on me, etc. etc. Until the last gentleman finally said they had no idea what was going on with the order and they would 'give my money back', which of course they didn't. Now I'm having PayPal refund the money (which takes another 15 days) and filing a complaint against the company.
Do not buy anything from this 'company' no matter how cheap they list it for.
Cheers,
-Adam
I ordered an expensive cinema camera because they said they had stock. 2 weeks later they still haven't shipped anything. They now say they are waiting for stock yet their website still says everything is in stock. To make things even better when I talked to a sales associate when purchasing the camera he said they would ship it that day. Not sure if they know how to tell the truth about anything. Trying to get a refund so I never have to deal with them again. Stay far away from these guys. SCAM SCAM SCAM
Answer: Hit and miss. I have been on hold now for 45 minutes waiting for their customer service.
