I don't understand the negative reviews listed here. I've used Mail.com for a month, and haven't had any issues mentioned at all. I'm not a business, just using it for my personal and genealogy use. I like the clean and organized interface, the presentation of the service, the ease of use, lots of features for a free account. The things I don't like about it, s the service will log you out after a small period of time of inaction. It's a bit cumbersome to get to your email box. It also provides unnecessary messages, such as leaving the email site, informing you're waiting for more than 3 seconds, "click here" option. It seems to me they gear a lot of that for beginners. About 99% of people don't need that handholding. With that, I would never use this service for a business or business related use, as it doesn't provide encryption the emails. So for someone who wants an nice email service for personal use for friends, clubs, and bloggers, this is a great option.
Account was closed by their mail.com system with out any notice and all of our emails and data were cancelled I wonder how can they stay on the market with such a miserable service Perhaps they pay some freelancer from india, balgladesh or pakistan to code their mail.com webmail Maybe that's a love story between mail.com and the pakistani programmer? And perhaps they don't want to hire anyone else? Data dell'esperienza: 14 febbraio 2024

Worst customer service, ridiculously vulnerable safety system and incredibly spamming ad. Even if your signed up account will disappear/blocked for no reason. If you want to torture yourself, then sign up with them!
I had two mail.com accounts. I was eventually locked out of both because of some unspecified suspicious activity. Customer service was slow to respond and generally unhelpful. Finally managed to recover both accounts, mostly on my own, but by then had already moved my email subscriptions elsewhere. There are far better free email services out there.
I've been a Mail.com customer for 6 or 8 years now, and I'm usually satisfied. I pay a small annual charge for premium service and get my emails without ads, and never had my account blocked or closed. The system is customer-friendly and normally does what it is supposed to do.
But when it doesn't, look out! Occasionally, there will be some glitch on the site, and when I ask about it, I ALWAYS get the same answer. User error. My fault! I'm treated like a novice and sent a standardized reply that tells me all the things to check so I can correct my own mistake(s). Guess what? A few days later the glitch miraculously is fixed, and it wasn't my fault at all. The business concept is ok, but the tech folks behind it are incompetent.
Tip for consumers:
Some sites, like Sitejabber, has a "one size fits all" appraoch.
Since 2013 I've had my account. It has typical features. I have 12 folders added to sort mail. It has good spam control. Aft I got familiar with its differences find is easy to use, as any other free webmail.

Works great

I just signed up for my new account, received confirmation, stating that the account is now active and I can use it. But at the first attempt to sign in, I received an error message saying something like "we have detected a suspicious activity on your account and blocked it for your security". They offered alleged steps to recover account. I've completed all steps 3 times but my account remains locked for no reason. Mail.com are a bunch of crazy losers.

Stay away from mail.com

Been with them for years. Notified them tens and tens of times of on going slow server problems, just to name one. They blame your internet or something on your end, and never fix the problem. They make you end up being stuck with them because you don't want to change your email address!
Mail.com is fine I like there security but I just started mail.com but it seems good.
I do like it so far but the best thing about it is you don't need a phone number like aol but aol is pretty good.
They gotta be the worst email service in the whole goddammit world. They started off OK but really suck. Can't get into my emails for hours with these guys. The worst service in the world. This must be a China website. Why I say that is because they don't care if you can get in your emails or this sounds like your idiot $#*!ing president shot head Joe Biden. That's what this website reminds of

I didn't buy anything. Just want get into my emails
If I could give zero I would. I opened a new mail.com email account to replace another mail.com email account which no longer had a relevant username. I transferred some key emails from the old account to the new one, since I had some emails from a charity that I needed to respond to. In the new account I contacted everyone I deal with to tell them of my change of email address...suddenly...bang...both accounts were then blocked for "impermissable" activity. So now I have no access to any of the emails for my charitable work, and cannot continue work I was doing on their behalf. And now presumably everyone I deal with is getting bounceback unavailability emails from the very address I just told them to use. It reminds of the saying "no good deed goes unpunished". This company has ruined a good piece of voluntary work I was doing, tarnished my reputation, making me look foolish and I don't even know why.they won't say. All I did was transfer some emails from one account to another new one. I can't urge you strongly enough, do not use mail.com.
Logged on after starting a business, account blocked.
No reason, no contact.
3 days later account blocked and would not be unblocked because our abuse department says so, no more information is known.
Why didn't you just ask me to upgrade?
Where is your customer service or support?
My business took ages to set up and you can ruin it by just not allowing me in? All my receipts, invoices.
DO NOT USE!
5 minutes after setting up an email account, it said there was suspicious activity and locked me out. Been trying to get back in for a week. No support, no customer service. Don't use them.

Initially Mail.com did a fine job of isolating spam mails because there were few incoming to deal with. However, in the last few months I have gotten a ton of spams because of the failure of an organization to shield its e-mails sent to members. I suspect there is a limit to how many spam domains and addresses Mail.com can retain in memory. I am getting many more in my inbox and suspect that the system has reached the limit of its capacity to filter incoming emails through 1000s of previous spam sources. I will need to open a new email account to get out of this bad situation.
Mail.com reissues closed email address. Mail.com refuses to open new accounts without explanation stating they will get back with a reason... They can answer negative reviews within hours, it's been over a week, NO RESPONSE. Arrogant, non responsive, refuse to accept any responsibility for their errors. Could have been such an assume service, but NO!
Tip for consumers:
Mail.com is not responsive if there is any issue. If it works, it is an 4 out of 5, but if there is an issue, you are out in the cold.

One day my account just stopped working. I log in, it says my account is blocked and to contact them. Weeks later they respond my account is flagged for abuse, its forever blocked, and they won't ever unblock. Literally all my social media is tied to this account so I can no logger log in because of 2 factor. Can no longer access my facebook because they want to verify my account via code to email, and I cant change email because I don't have access.
Awful terrible platform.
We love mail.com this is the only email address me and my whole family use is perfect Email ever it's great please stay up I hope it last forever it would be sad to go keep the good work mail. Comwe enjoy you very much you never let me down five stars I would give 10 stars if I could
This is not worth using. Tried to get password forever and they must have only one person working. I am buying me a. Email from a reputable company,
When I requested to have my account restored they sent me this bs message:
"We have forwarded your request to unblock your account to our security department and it was determined that the account in question will remain blocked.
Please note that this is a decision made by our abuse department and we do not have further information we can provide to you."
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EMAIL COMPANY!
It's good but it's office is really trying to copy Microsoft Office.
Just why did mail.com do this why. Also there is too much ads.(PS my normal email's domain is outlook.com)
Simple to use system but honestly, lacks in many places, just not as good as gmail or outlook.
I like the many extensions you can sign up to for free, but otherwise, meh.
I was using Mail.com for work purposes and was all of a sudden not given access to my account nor can I speak to anyone. The email I received when questioned why was that there was a security breach on my account. Like other servers, the only security breached is my own as they now have all my work files that I can no longer access and hindering my business! If I could give them less than 1 star I would. Completely unethical the way they operate. DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE!
Dear Rich,
As we mentioned before, the decision was made by our security department and it was decided that the account in question will remain blocked, please note that the creation of accounts with suspicious names such as anonymous or some similarity are considered as a spam accounts. We do not have further information we can provide to you. Also note that they reserves the right to share further details of its decision.
We understand this is not a satisfactory answer but we ask for your understanding that this is the only answer we will give you.
Best regards,
mail.com Support Team

Mail.com server for my work.
I choose this as a service for applying and receiving communications for new jobs. I had it for 4 days before they said I had irregular emails and locked the account. I sent out over 200 resumes that now no one can reach me. NEVER EVER USE THIS SERVICE!
I just went through the same thing! I've had that account for some 5-6 years and periodically they would block me or request that i change my password. Strangely enough, until about 2 months ago, i had always used the Free Account but then went ahead and set up the Premium. As of yesterday the damn account was BLOCKED and no one can tell me anything competently as to What is the Bloody problem. They won't let you speak to anyone in "management" and they cannot speak "clear" enough English to tell anything that makes sense. Some guy keeps mumbling on the phone. PATHETIC!
Zero rating if there was one like that.
They invalidated my email I had used for my banking and credit card needs. I went out on military service for 7 months when I came back I wasn't able to use my email anymore. I called them the guy told me that I have lost the email forever because I didn't login within 6 months. He also added that it is very easy to login into an email at least once every 6 months if it is very important to the customer. I thought that was very naive and limited. So do not use mail.com if your intend to find your email intact and active.
