If you like having your money stolen and not returned - this is the company for you.
Bunch of greedy grinches who like to illegally retain funds auto-refilled (despite cancellation). Pieces of excrement... the kind you'll throw out a pair of shoes over after mistepping.
Managers are also unwilling to sort such issues.
I had been charged $67 just for 7 kilometers ride. No one pick up phone and no email replies, worst taxi company
Beware Lyft can charge you an $80 fee for spill cleanup. In my case they charged me for an ice spill even though I did not bring ice in to the car! The driver provided a picture. When I disputed the pic and asked for a time stamp I received no reply. Multiple attempts to contact and dispute have gone unanswered.
Lyft is genuinely so inconsistent and unreliable. Whether it's that it takes an hour for a ride, or the ride it took an hour to get there decides to cancel last minute. I don't even like uber, but use them over lyft any day
Just had a super weird experience with a Lyft driver he pulls up on my daughter. Then basically refuses to perform his job. Talking about some section three of the Lyft policy no other driver has cited whatsoever previously. Chris apparently holds fast to this supposed policy is about her having to be 18 years old. My daughter is 16 year old junior in high school of large size. She's definitely not a toddler and or an infant. So I don't know why he felt that he had to just try to show his $#*! this morning. But I hope Chris feels good. Wherever he is for giving her a terrible experience. Then I'm charged a cancellation fee of $5 for him giving her a terrible and weird experience. Then the lyft support was no better will never use their service again. What a bunch of crap. There supposed customer service is unprofessional. Took super long pauses never showed any empathy as I was chatting with them and then simply copy and paste it a one line website response to me. I'm a single parent trying to make sure that my child makes it to work and school. While I'm having car issues. I had to deal with two someone's ineptitude and lack of customer service today. #lyftdriver #Lyft Chris you suck if you didn't want to perform the ride for a black family just say so without hiding behind lies and rhetoric. I understand some of the reasoning for the policy. However I communicate with my daughter during all rides I'm not on with her. I then follow along with the ride in the app and ensure that she's arrived safely. We have not had any previous issues or service refusals citing this policy in the in the past. My ride history is full of these same rides Chris feels discriminatory to me.
The car that picked us up had a broken side mirror which resulted in the driver nearly getting into several accidents on the freeway, missing our turn into the airport, and screaming and yelling the whole time. Lyft did not issue a refund and told us we should have asked her to pull over in an unfamiliar city and let us out of the car.
Lyft has raised their rates to ridiculous levels. They put taxis out of business and are now exploiting us as well. Don't reinforce the greed. Delete the app.
I applied to be a Lyft driver after they put me through all of the BS to get registered with them they come back and tell me that I'm not eligible because I have a ticket from 2 years ago. What they don't know is that ticket was thrown out but they don't care that's okay Uber wanted me go to hell lift
Be very weary of using Lyft
Left a bad review because driver was going entirely to fast around curves and hills, no regards for safety. Then they want to charge us $80+ dollars for getting a little dirt from our shoes on the floor mat.
What I will like to know if I live less than 20 minutes away from work, why is Lyft charging me these prices to get home, like I living in Brooklyn or Manhattan when I am going queens to queens this is insane especially in the inflation this economy is going through where people are trying to survive. Y'all need to do better to help the people but y'all never do, only think about money all the time.
I had ride with Lyft. Estimated price was $26.70 but they charged me $34 I submeted complains many times and didn't receive any replay. Terrible service, cheating customers. I'll never more use this company.
I will be deleting my account and never using you guys again! I've been using yall for 6 years + and never have y'all held a temporary hold on my money until now!
Honestly, this is the WORST company I ever dealt with, they lost a customer. DO NOT USE LYFT. I had called a Uber & canceled it within 30 seconds due to realizing I had put the wrong location and they never refunded my money back. Mind you, you can't call them because there is no number. So good luck having to jump through hoops when something like this occurs. In the picture it says last ride as if I had a ride, bye with all that give me my money. $15 yeah, it's mine
It's all a lie about how protected you are. Several times I was harassed and they said I would never get that person again and I would. So many time I was reported for thing they said a customer said that wasn't true just because I ask them to put in their second stop and they would get upset and place a false report.so manytime I reported tolls they charged me for that wasn't correct and I mainly paid for it.
DO NOT TRUST THE RIDE SHARE COMPANIES AT ALL ITS NOT SAFE AT ALL.
Customer service 0 0 0 0 This company breaking the law because it's online chat happy asking the person what's your name is not provide the name and ID number it is the law it should be provide the name and ID number I have all the screenshot I was chatting with them they are never solve the problem and pissed me off and I was not feel safe to drive and I was stopping because this company cheating a lot it should be Everyone we should take him to the court because screwing up The passenger and pay less to the driver
I have been using Lyft for some timeβ¦
I have been using Lyft for some time now off and on over the years. I have noticed their prices are incredible high but i need them. All of a sudden i am having a lot of rides that the driver says they picked me up and dropped me off but i am was never picked up to be dropped off. There is no customer service # and on the app it tells me i am not eligible for a refund. What a joke iam done
Date of experience: October 05,2022
App often glitches out, rides taking too long, no customer service, app auto charges premiums which i have to contact my bank to get refunded because i get charged for rides that were cancelled and never happened. Drivers can see what you tip them and leave a $#*!ty review if they just didn't like you for whatever reason. Absolutely abysmal service. Feel bad for the drivers who definitely don't get paid enough to put up with this company's bs lack of communication/transparency. Only use for occasional gigs.
I was scammed by a diver for a trip that should have cost $14 but the driver did some trickery with the trip that that caused the fare to be $30 (more than doubling his take).
I realized the scam when I saw the receipt and map of my trip that showed pickup dots at different places. I made no stops, Yet it showed one of the pickup dots (and approx address) as being at the top of an overpass with nothing fro 140 ya5rds on each sid, a nd no businesses for at least 200 yards. Now why would I request a stop on the apex of an overpass? The fare was "recalculated" based on that fictitious "stop" and cost more than double now/ According to the receipt and time stamps,, the stop lasted 25 seconds LESS than the average time I've made the exact same trip 60 times previously (for about $14).
Hmmmm;.
I pleaded the discrepancy with their "support department" through the BBB, the app itself, their Facebook page,. Through email,. And their Twitter pages explaining how I think I was scammed and each time they insisted the fare was correct. They never looked at the evidence.
I took them to "arbitration" per our "User Agreement". I paid my $150 to initiate the claim and sat around for 2 months twiddling my thumbs while it turns out, they never paid their share of the arbitration admin fees ($150) to join the arbitration proceeding (per their dictated agreement) and thereby closing the case with ADR.com. I didn't see THAT one coming. I'm new at this.
So I took them to local civil court, asking for $2,000 (I put down some far-fetched stuff that doesn't usually fly in small claims courts). I finally got a call from a paralegal there who offered me "$50 to go away". I countered with $477 NOW. That call last 1 minute and 13 seconds. Nope!
They never responded to the civil complaint either and after a brief meeting with the Judge, I got a an $1,100 award. Which netted me about $840 after the original $16 claim, court costs, admin fees, etc... Lyft could have resolved this 5 times for $16 in the first 2 weeks. But they'd rather pay $1,100 after 6 months
It was the hardest, most educational, and most emotionally rewarding $840 I've ever earned.
If you schedule a ride and need to cancel it, I would love to know how it was done. If you google the directions on the "how to" it doesn't work when you can't find it. The night before my scheduled ride I tried to cancel it. I couldn't find it in the app. I did not get a text or email confirmation. I thought something went wrong and I didn't schedule it as I thought. It wasn't until I got a notification that my driver was on the way that I realized it was indeed scheduled. I was charged the $10 cancellation fee and they have done a good job at making it impossible to dispute it.
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
