My Trex deck was done in September -October of 2018 by JWC construction. It was put in with no spacing, the board are curling and coming up. I paid $*******. 00 to Lowes who I believed was a reputable company. Was I wrong! There not even willing to send professional to even look at the deck. Its been a nightmare for close to 3 years. When rains I have a pool on my deck. I've given up talking them they've offered me $2500 for what is a $9000 repair job. Do not use Lowes there customer service is ridiculous. I'm taken them to court for not responding to the problem. Also I have a letter from Trex saying problems are due to bad installation.
Lowe's is great on everything except appliances my microwave broke within two months of purchase and they had a repair team schedule an appointment 3 months later, then it took 2 months to repair it. Instead of just exchanging the microwave. Lowe's put me through a 5 month ordeal.
I will never buy an appliance from Lowe's again, and I have a hard time spending any money there because I am always reminded of the way they treated me over their bad Whirlpool product.
Until I gave Lowe's a try for an appliance, I had had nothing but good experiences there. To make a nearly 3-month long story short, the delivery guys showed up with my gas range but could not install it because they had no wrench for the gas fitting. They simply shrugged. The ball was now in my court to reschedule the installation. I kept records of the dozens of calls I made, and the FOUR no-shows by delivery persons that Lowe's each time assured me had been rescheduled (and I stayed home from work waiting around for). I wrote a complaint to the headquarters in NC. Finally, they escalated the complaint to the District Office here in Atlanta, and they sent someone out to install it. I spent more hours on this nightmare than I ever want to have to do again. I'll buy hardware, etc., from Lowe's, but never again appliances.
Lowe's Mount Pocono Pa location is the worst location to call for information. Service will never answer the phone and if they do they hang up on you when you ask for a manager. I spent over an hour contacting them over 4 times thru the day. That branch needs serious help.
Lowe's estimator came out and provided an estimate for a vinyl fence installation.
After signing it took 4 months for the contractors to schedule the install.
Lowe's neglected to tell me that 6 ft of dirt from each post hole would be left in a pile at each post. I called the estimator- he advised that I 'Rake it through my yard! I have dogs... what a terrible mud pit that would be! His only other suggestion was to pay the contractor to haul the dirt away. Again, this was never discussed when he did the estimate.
Then, as the installers were digging the holes... anytime that they needed to use a jackhammer, it cost me $30...$420 so far and job not completed yet!
Estimator said ' well you never asked me about additional charges'. Worst experience ever, terrible attitude from salesperson once he got the Contract.
Contractor was amazing, Lowe's is the worst! Never. Ever. Contract with Lowe's
There was a line of eight people at the Lowe's paint department when the employee walked out saying "I've worked for 6 hours I'm going to lunch!" After four calls for help in paint no one came. After 15 additional minutes of waiting we left with no paint! Awful experience and waste of our time!
I purchased 10 bags of mulch in which the cashier called for assistance to help me load my car. No one came and the guys were playing around further back by the mulch and other garden supplies. This is very disheartening as a senior to not be helped. Management should be walking around to ensure customers are helped. Kudos to the cashier who was an older lady!
I purchased a double wall oven from Lowes and it was improperly installed on December 15,2019. Immediately following the installation, I contacted Lowes and explained how the Michael & Sons installers failed to install the double wall over properly. It has been an uphill battle trying to get Lowes to resolve this issue. I have endured infinite rounds of customer service calls. The bottom line is if you are looking for Lowes to ensure you are a satisfied customer, please spend your money elsewhere.
My flooring was not installed properly, which led to the vinyl plank, pushing against one another, and causing them to break. I spent the last year going round and round between installer, manufacturer, and Lowe's. Finally went to the Better Business Bureau, and then spent the last three months being led to believe that I was going to have the situation made, right. This was after I presented a letter from the manufacturer, stating that it was an installation problem, sent plenty of pictures and they even had somebody come out and inspect my flooring and tell us that it was definitely done wrong. I was told today that there will be absolutely nothing done to make the situation, right. I spent $10,000 trusting Lowe's to make sure the job was done correctly. And here I am sitting at a broken floor and am absolutely devastated! My recommendation to everybody is to stay as far away from Lowe's as possible. I will never trust this company again.
I love the excellent customer service, friendliness, and hard work we've always received from Lori at the Naperville, IL store! Every time I go in there she is the most friendly person there and able to point me in the right direction. Most importantly I admire how well she keeps the customers at ease and things organized during the current pandemic. The way we do things has changed quickly but she's always able to adapt to the situation. She needs to be publically recognized by corporate on their Facebook and Twitter social media pages.
She's why we come back.
Lowe's had the best price on the dishwasher I wanted, but was not so sure about delivery and setup. I am glad I decided to take a chance because I was pleasantly delighted. Kevin and Johnny of Pro Installers were incredible (definitely a "7" the highest number I could give them). They were on time, fast, clean and helpful in getting the dishwasher installed and ready to use. I will most likely check w/Lowe's when I'm ready for my next appliance.
So glad to have one in our town, but I know they have hurt local appliance retailers as they cannot sell as cheaply. Employees try to be helpful but many know less than I do. Their end of the season sales are excellent. Nice discount for veterans and my husband uses his discount often.
I bought a lawn tractor from lowes. They advertised "free next day delivery." Took several more days than "next day" and they charged me $55! Had to make many calls to track the delivery and got a lot of apologies but bottom line is they messed up and charged me for what was supposed to be free!
Do not buy appliances at Lowe's they do not respect warranties or customers
I'm so disappointed! A brand new dishwasher totally under warranty but since I bought the condo with it already ( never used) they say it cancels the warranty!
Former owner supplied warranty papers receipts etc... still not accepted!
Arrogant and bad customer service!
NEVER AGAIN!
Wife Purchase a 6-cu ft freezer on Oct 11- 2022 was told she would have it Delivered on Oct 26. That did not happen and there was no phone call from Lowes. I called Lowe's on Oct 28, asking what happened. They said they have No delivery date, or NO info where freezer is. But they did bill me and wanted the money. Told them to bill me all you want, I'm not paying. Just Lowes selling B. S. If I do not hear from Lowes this week, I will Cancel the order and get it from home depot next week.
I am amazed at Lowes.com. Everything from the store is online which makes it extremely easy to check things out before heading to the actual store. Most of the time I just check online before making a trip to my local Lowes in Texas. However I did order a few items they didn't carry on the website. Very easy and cheap shipping too! Many sales and discounts come in the mail as well... Especially for the paint which can be expensive. I highly recommend Lowes.com and the brick and mortar stores.
I bought a new oven at Lowes.com, after reading reviews and doing cost comparisons. The oven was on sale at a great price, with the promise of free home delivery and installation. On the delivery day, I received a phone call from an employee saying that they were on the way to my house. He then told me that he can't disconnect or reconnect a gas stove (which is the type we use). How is that free delivery and installation?! It worked out more-or-less OK. I cancelled the order and told him not to deliver it. Full refund. But still.
The phrase punish them until morale improves. That is management at many stores. I have worked multiple stores. The company used to say customer service is what matters, but they cut staff over and over putting more work on less people. Then when the store is in disarray they expect miracles or people to band together triumphantly. You throw things in a pile it just gets bigger until you have the people to take care of it. I had seen more often than not bad people rewarded for being friends with the wrong people. I have seen management write people up to avoid themselves getting a write up. You know pass the blame. They are not a good company to work for unless it is extremely short term. Such as you working until you find something better.
I basically use their online site as a catalog. But it's easier to then drive the ten miles to the store. Besides a lot of what I tend to buy there is way too expensive to ship AND to have to wait for. Plus with things like lumber one always wants to pick through the supply rather than have some guy in a warehouse just grab what's on the top of the stack.
I brought an attic ladder to make it easy access to my loft space. The opening was a non standard size, I found what I needed at lowes & for a very good price.
Getting the Christmas tree & decorations down from the attic space has been made easier by this sturdy & substantial ladder & we also added a pulley system to lower items down & hoist them up. I would recommend this to anyone with movements difficulty because with 3" runs to climb on its nowhere near as uncomfortable as a standard attic ladder.
Answer: They aren't a s cam but their incompetency will make you pay extra for shopping with them
Answer: Same here and Lowes is no help! All they tell me is there is a delay, sorry
Answer: The price will be less but you will overpay with your time
Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
