They don't return calls. My 3 year old GE dishwasher with an extended warranty hasn't been fixed in three weeks. They don't return phone calls. They don't honor the service contract.

I bought a 5 year extended warranty on a Samsung refrigerator and recently tried to use it. The refrigerator doors do not close and I am unable to keep anything in my refrigerator until this is repaired. Lowes was able to make an appointment over a week away and said if I wanted something sooner I would have to call Lakes Electronics in FL, the company they use for their warranty service. This company is by far the most difficult company to get on the phone. I called for Alicia (? Licia) several times, but she was either 'out of the office, at lunch, on break, or again out of the office'. I was persistent but called 6 times in one day trying to reach someone. Finally I got through and they rescheduled the appointment for 5/9/18. Well, today is 5/9/18 and no one showed up, so I called again, trying 4 more times to reach someone. Finally after a lot of frustration I was told that they were not coming today (after being transferred around several times). I could have called a local appliance repair person, had the problem solved, and eliminated this frustration. I will NEVER purchase an extended warranty from Lowe's because they pass it along to someone who does not know anything about customer service. I will also shop at Home Depot in the future for appliances. My dealings with them in the past have always been favorable. Will have to travel a little further but it will be worth it.

I had never bought household stuff before and found it was hard to find the right items. The stuff I ordered from Lowes are very nice. Though I was kept waiting for a long time.

Terrible service
April 23, 2019

Hello, I would like to share my annoyance and disappointment with my dealings with the local Lowes. I bought a samsung dishwasher and installed it myself. It worked great for 3 months but then dishes were left dirty in the top rack, it seemed to be throwing the dirty water around and leaving food in tall glasses especially. I called samsung to try and use the warranty but apparently because I installed it, this makes it so you could not use the warranty, which Lowes did not mention at all during the purchase! Called samsung again and apparently, I need to get a lowes worker to come and sign off on the instillation which they want around 180$ for this... ridiculous as this should be a very fast process. But whatever gave in and set up appointment and paid the fee. My father disconnected the dishwasher to take a look while we were waiting as well. Well today was the day of the appointment and they dont even show up. I had to get someone to actually sit at my home 12-5 today as I work, and no one shows up, not even a call. I called lowes around 5 and did not even get a real apology, just we dont know what happend you will be called a different day to reschedule goodbye. I felt the worker was very short brief and a little rude. So now I still have a unhooked dishwasher, and have to wait for an entirely new appointment to be made and get someone to be at the house again for this. This whole experience has been a waste of time and I will not be recommending this location in the future.

Consumers: Please do not spend your money at this Lowes. It is impossible for us to believe that Lowes believes it will survive in Forsyth, Illinois. Over the years their employee attitudes have totally went to HELL. Their young people have no respect, they do NOT want to listen, they bully older people, and they are lazy and indignant. We have attempted to purchase a washer, a grill, plants in the past six months. We meet up with POOR customer service if any, we are entitled to Military discount according to their program, which is questioned even when information is already at their fingertips, when we question how much discount comes to they are unable to tell you, I guess they are NOT "capable" of providing that information as it is over their head... I guess it is true you get what you pay for... meaning... you get to deal with people that are rude, mouthy, disrespectful, basically the bottom of the barrell. We live where we have access to other Lowes stores, Menards, Home Depot... farm stores... the list goes on... the only reason we go to this Lowes is because our children live in Decatur. We are looking forward to the day this Lowes closes as it is a black eye on our community. 270 bad reviews, that should be an eye opener for corporate... some of their reviews suggest corporate does NOT care. Think they will when they close their doors...?

For the past 5 or so years I have witnessed Lowes going to cheaper product lines which originally turned me off. I just always move to places were Lowes is closest to me. Because over the same amount of time I've been able to get product lines that i want from home Depot. Now and it is quite obvious that the parts that are changing for the worse are corporate decision. Case in point. For the past two times I've been able to get the deck stain that I need of the shelf. This time I look and had a hard time deciding which is what I needed? So I bought what I thought was right cause the sale person was super busy and I did not want to wait or bother him and I didn't have the time to wait that long. Well it was wrong not solid enough and a waste of my time. I went back and tried to find the right stain and the man says I need more of a solid stain and they have it on the shelf so I look and can't find it. He comes to help and points out a white base stain and I said that's not redwood. He says I can I can tint it for you. Never had to do this before. Then as I'm leaving the parking. I said to myself, it never asked for my veteran ID. So no discount either. A big screen always pops up and asks me if I'm a veteran. Why not this time. It just keeps pulling up the negatives for Lowes. I'm going to Home Depot from now on.

First let me say, we had a fence installed and ended up receiving $750 back because of all the errors on their end. Then today happened...

We are redoing our laundry room - order cabinets - got an email yesterday that they were ready for pick up. Went to Lowe's parked in the spot called let them know we were there

30 mins later call back because no cabinets had come out to us yet
Had to call twice because no one answered
Then when the customer service lady answered she said it will be out shortly and hung up before I could ask a question

Call back no one answers
Call again. Same girl and which I say "you just hung up on me before I could ask if it would just be easier to come in side to get our order ". She replied it's on it's way now" and again hung up on me before I could get a word in.

TWENTY MINS later (this is now 50 mins we've been waiting)

Bring out the cabinets every single one busted - looks like someone attempted to glue them back together and a chunk missing off the back side of one of them.
Go inside - to swap them. No more cabinets.
Then had to go to customer service to return EVERYTHING.
Waited in line 20 mins because they had 1 person working the customer service area, mind you this area is also doing pick ups and returns.

Get my refund and cancelled my other 3 orders - I am a fool for going back, but that was the last time. Waste of my afternoon. Also district manager needs to have a talk with the store manager, clearly he is lacking in direction and leadership

In late July 2018 I contacted Lowes to purchase and install two vanity tops in my bathrooms. Due to manufacturing defects, installation delays, and lack on in store communication, the installation was finally completed on Jan 10,2019. Partway through the process (Oct-Nov) I spoke with my salesman expressing concern that I had not had any contact from a store manager, and that the $100 gift card the salesman offered me (probably the extend of his authority) was pretty much an insult. Later that day, I was contacted by a person identifying himself as a store manager. In our conversation he offered me compensation that I would be credited the cost of one of the vanity tops. After another two months the installation was finally completed, the overall store manager is now reneging on that compensation. Today I've learned the store manager claims he and the district manager have tried to contact me multiple times this week, while both caller id and voicemail indicated I have not been contacted by anyone from Lowes, except for ONE call in response to my contact. It is now quite apparent that this Lowes store is now trying to sweep the whole issue under the rug... after a simple purchase and installation took over FIVE months to complete. Use caution when dealing with this store, especially where management is involved. This is the store on Wilmington Pike in Dayton OH.

Bright, warm, sunny day today, people are expected to go to the garden center at the big box stores. Lowe's was no exception. When I arrived, about 17-20 people in line, almost every one of them had a large cart filled with items. I would guess, the average checkout time for each person would be 3 minutes which means there would be about an hour wait if you were at the end of the line. TYPICAL LOWE'S, they had one cashier in the garden department and plenty of Lowe's employees wandering around not really doing anything noticeably important (don't know what they are expected to do, just an observation). Wouldn't it be nice if the big box stores would stop worrying about packing the CEO's pockets and would actually give a damn about the customer? Needless to say, I didn't stay to enjoy an hour in line. I DID however, go to Home Depot and got the items I wanted and was there for only 15 minutes since they had TWO cashiers efficiently working the line. This Lowe's is notorious for closing the self check out lines and having one cashier available for checkout. Maybe Walmart owns Lowe's now? (same customer service).

Lowes Store #1573 mill Creek Washington

So I tried to bring a lawnmower in for a repair under manufactures warranty. The Lowes policy is to take it in and send for repairs, with proof of purchase. The return staff was woefully uninformed/trained as to store policy. They simply sent me away with zero information or help. I called Lowes corporate and they informed the store manager (John) of the situation and I was told to return to store and talk directly with him. Upon returning he was "unavailable" and the front end Manager began to help me. She was obstinate and as ignorant to policy as the return clerk. She was argumentative and allowed me to get heated and walk away. Meanwhile the store manager was no where to be found. Again, I called corporate and after a long pause they confirmed that John was aware of policy and would take the mower for repair. The front end manager never returned, I never saw John, and no one ever apologized for their mistake regarding policy. The original return clerk who took the mower in for repair, was still woefully uniformed/educated regarding the policy, even after all of this. If I were to have acted this way to a customer in my business...

Delivery
March 4, 2022

I bought a refrigerator for delivery. When delivery was attempted the delivery people did not knock or ring the doorbell, nor did I receive a phone. They left a "sorry we missed you" sticker. I called the number on the sticker beginning at 3:25 pm every hour on the hour and being told I would receive a call within an hour, which didn't happen. I received a call after 6 pm from one of the managers at the store following a call to the store. I was asked during the call if I wanted to cancel my order. Easy way to not satisfy the customer. Delivery the next morning would have been acceptable however was not attempted. I was told they couldn't do that. I called the sticker number on Friday morning beginning at 6:15 am to speak with someone in the Jacksonville warehouse. Two hours later I called a second time. The message was sent a second time. Within a few minutes I FINALLY received a call back (after 6 calls). This warehouse manager told me it was my fault. His guys had documentation they had done everything they should do. Didn't mean they had done it. I was basically called a liar and delivery failure was my fault. Love the customer service. NOT! My sales person was amazing. Delivery STINKS! Don't know if I will use Lowes again.
