LiveCareer has a rating of 3.8 stars from 8,740 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with LiveCareer most frequently mention customer service, cover letter and great experience. LiveCareer ranks 3rd among Career Advice sites.
The site was easy to use, templates are lovely. I an taking a star off because I felt a little put off about not knowing the cost until the end. It felt a bit like "exit through the gift shop"... Oh, you enjoyed your product, great! In order to truly use it, pay up. That said, $2.95 is a reasonable charge. I don't plan to continue my payments beyond 14 days.
The formats and user friendly prompts on this site were easy to navigate and made it very simple to create a professionally formatted resume and cover letter in far less time then it would have taken me independently. Also very affordable and I really like knowing there is 24/7 online support available for any questions. This will be my go to site for any future resume and cover letters. Thank you.
Hi Kim S.,
We are so happy that you found the site easy to use and liked our customer support online. We wish you career success!

This site was helpful for making my resume. However, the initial small charges for things like downloading your resume should have tipped me off to how dirty this company is with charging people. Yes, before I paid I was warned that my subscription would renew for $39.80 after two weeks, and I received an email after payment saying the same, but I never got an email before I was charged again. How tricky is that? I have purchased many subscriptions online, whether through Amazon or beauty subscriptions, The Honest Company, and others, and they ALWAYS sent an email before charging my card.
I will never use this site again. Avoid unless you plan on deleting your subscription immediately after printing your resume out.
Greetings Michael,
We are very sorry that you feel this way Cecilia. We are committed to providing great customer service. We are looking forward to assist you with your concern. We have sent you a private message so we can provide you with a timely resolution in a secure manner.

Resume-now is an exceptionally well managed resume building website. Whatever your career be, you get a resume matching that. Search for different types of resumes, lots of custom build templates and resumes you can choose from. The website helps us to know with different types of resumes.
The live support is fantastic. They are always trying to help you without any sales tactics. I had to close my subscription for few months and I contacted these guys with Live chat and within seconds, my refund was approved.

This site does not offer high value added service. My search was for free resume service and that is what they say but after building your resume there is a fee. Don't give them your credit card... they will charge to it every month. Stay away... they are not honest.
Dear Ted,
We apologize for the misunderstanding. Our free trial gives you the opportunity to try out our resume builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, email, or download your resume are features included in our paid subscription. You can download a plain text version of your resume for free.
We also explain that the subscription is auto-renewing, underneath the description of the subscription in bullet form, as well as in the confirmation email you receive once you subscribe. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings!
You can also contact our customer service team for help! We are available 18 hours a day, 7 days a week from 6am- Midnight EST at toll free 1-888-816-0576 or through live chat on our site. Don't trust the two week package. They will charge right after claiming is an auto renewal service, how would go for a two auto renewal if the month or annual packages are available.
They will send you then a long nonsense email that really doesn't help anyway.
Look out people
Hello, Mka. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you; we'd love to take this chance to explain some misinformation about our services. Our subscriptions are auto-renewing, as we have a continuous billing feature that charges the credit card on file after the 14-day trial expires and every four weeks afterward unless you choose to cancel the subscription beforehand.
If no cancellation request is sent before the trial period ends, the account is enrolled into a monthly subscription at the regular price. The auto-renewal information is listed in multiple areas like our plans page, the payment information page, and lastly, on your welcoming email, which confirms the 14-day trial purchase in addition to a detailed overview of your new subscription.
For more information, please refer to our Terms and Conditions page: https://www.livecareer.com/terms-of-use.
We hope that this helps clear any confusion. If you have any other questions or concerns, contact our Customer Service Team for immediate assistance using the link provided below.

I am so thrilled that I stumbled upon this site! I have been working at the same University for over 20 years and have been out of the job market during this time. I needed some help updating my outdated resume. LiveCareer provided various templates to use and guided me through the step-by-step process to update my resume. It also helped with the cover letter. Needless to say, I was offered a job within only a few weeks.
Thanks LiveCareer!
Hi Janet C.,
Congratulations on your new job! Glad to be of help. Best of luck with your new career!

I'm so glad that I found this website. They make it easy to create a super professional resume and cover letter. They walk you through all the steps so literally anyone can do it. I especially struggled with writing a cover letter, now I have an impressive one that is sure to get noticed. I highly recommend their service, the price is small for what they do. Best couple bucks I've ever spent
Hi Margarita G.,
We are so glad that you loved our site. Thanks for recommending us to others. We wish you career success.

I am a retiree living on a fixed income who clicked on the LiveCareer website. Not paying close attention to the auto renew terms for the 14-day trial period, I took advantage of certain services. When confronted by the renewal charge, I called the company and spoke with Lenny (Badge #418). He was super professional, credited back my full registration fee and proceeded to offer me access to the website for a modest continuing fee. I accepted but also acquired the cancellation date in the future to stop all future charges if I chose. All in all, the experience was highlighted by the knowledge and professionalism of Lenny. I would highly recommend this website for the job seeker.
Hello, James:
Reviews like this really make our day! We’re excited to hear that Lenny was able to assist you with your request and provide you with excellent service. We’ll be sure to let him know your positive thoughts. :)
This site looks good and sounds good but it's a bait and switch. The articles are just feeds they've subscribed to and they do have templates but you can get them online for free. When you create your resume using their templates, there is no way to make it look professional when printed out - no headers, footers, page numbering system nor can you insert page breaks. So... when you print out the document, it's one long page. Not professional. Once burned... save your money.
Dear Renee M,

I was building a resume on their site as it suggestion plan $1.95 access 14 days on march. It turns out that doing this automatically signs you up for a membership that charges you $40 per month, and 80$ for two month... for absolutely nothing. When i found out, and contacted them I received no offer for a refund, and cut off your call - so rude, this is the worst experience i ever had. They don't care about customer service, since you in their trap, they don't care.
Hi Line C.,
I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our site and did not get the best customer service experience. Rest assured that this will be taken care of. We explain that the subscription is auto-renewing. We state this on every page in the purchase process and we send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.

This website is a complete scam. The positive reviews on this site are obviously written by trolls who are being compensated. I tried to use the resume template advertised for 1.95 and they signed be up for a very expensive monthly service.

I had worked on my resume all day long. After much frustration I finally finished it, then while trying to figure out how to pay the screen went off. Of course I became more frustrated, but when I called I talked with Adrian he was so pleasant, calm and very helpful. He explained everything I needed to know in terms, I understood. He was just the person I needed to talk with after a difficult day. Thanks again Adrian, I really appreciated you kindness.
Hi Janice M.,
I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our service, but we’re glad that Adrian was able to assist you. We wish you all the best!

I called to cancel multiple times before my 14 day trial. They said they had no record and charged my account for $35. I'm livid over their terrible customer service and I will make sure to never recommend or use this company.
Hi Aubre C.,
I very sorry you did not have the best customer service experience. Rest assured that this will be taken care of. Please contact me directly with the email address you used to create your account or the last 4 digits of the card that used to purchase and card holder’s name so that I can take a look at it personally and resolve this issue quickly for you. I signed up and when I was done using the service I contacted them to cancel my subscription. I keep getting notices that a ticket has been opened in my name and then I hear nothing. None of my emails have been answered. I have been charged for 3 months after I first asked to cancel. I'm getting tired of this. Sent another email again because as usual there are no people available to talk to which is the same thing I get every time I try to contact them.
Hi Elizabeth D.,
I’m very sorry if you were unable to get in touch with our customer service. Used this site to create a resume and didn't realize the subscription kept going till cancelled. I ended my account as soon as I was billed $35. Went through the entire site to figure out how to unsubscribe. Even though I ended my account I was still billed for 2 more months because I did not send in a "cancellation request." Even though I deleted my account and had no access to their documents I was still billed. Very sketchy site, funny how they don't send an email verification before your subscription is up after the 14 day period.
Hi Amanda S.,
I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our service. Deleting an account means you will not be able to access any of your resumes, cover letters, or emails. This action cannot be undone. However, cancellation stops the auto-renewal. The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14 day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. We also sent a confirmation email after purchase that listed the monthly rate and the date that your subscription would auto renew. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.
Please contact me directly with the last 4 digits of the card that used to purchase and card holder’s name so that I can take a look at it personally and resolve this issue quickly for you. You can email me at anna.b@livecareer-support.com
I look forward to hearing from you.

Looked up free resume help and went to this site.
Although the resume templates are nice they surprise you at the end and with a small charge and then continue to charge you monthly(which once you read it states they will charge weekly). I did not receive any correspondence or support to inform me of these charges and my supposed continued account. I have contacted the company and my credit card and will also contact the better business bureau. Sneaky and deceptive and most of all very disappointing
Hi Stephanie T.,
I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our service. We explain that the subscription is auto-renewing. We state this on every page in the purchase process and we send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.
Our record shows that a prorated refund in the amount of $26.85 has been processed today by one of our representatives. You'll see it on your bank statement within 2-3 business days. An email confirmation has been sent for your records.
We are very committed to providing great customer service and customer satisfaction, and again are very sorry that you had this experience. We take all feedback very seriously. It will be forwarded to our Marketing Team. Please contact me directly if you have any further issues. You can email me at anna.b@livecareer-support.com

I used this site to build a resume for a job I was applying for. Signed up for the week membership. I got the job and didn't think about my resume again. Looking over my credit card statement I realized that I was being billed 34.95 a month. I may have missed something in the fine print, but I was honestly unaware that they would be billing me this amount monthly until I cancelled. I really hate when companies do this kind of stuff and don't make it absolutely clear what you are signing up for. Would not use this site. There are plenty of FREE resources out there to help with resume building and job hunting.
Dear Amanda,
We are glad that you’ve found a job, but apologies for the misunderstanding. The subscription that you paid has a recurring billing feature and you can cancel at any time. We explain that the subscription is auto-renewing on the 8th day, underneath the description of the subscription in bullet form, as well as in the confirmation email you receive once you subscribe.
I called today because I was uncertain about the services rendered by LiveCareer. I spoke to Sebastian Cardenas, whose extensive knowledge and excellent customer service swayed me to continue on with my subscription. Thanks for going the extra mile to help a first time user like me. I'd recommend this service to anyone.
Hello, Fredric:
Thank you for sharing your experience with Sebastian. We strive to provide an A+ Customer Service experience with a one-stop approach to any situation. Your feedback helps make our service even better.
I signed up to write a resume and did not realize I would be charged every month. The customer service representative was very helpful in cancelling the subscription but I essentially paid for 4 months that I did not need or use. Fine print about this needs to be bigger. Kind of sneaky.
Hi Cristina:
We are very sorry that you feel this way about our service. We really appreciate your feedback and we want to remedy this situation for you immediately. To be able to assist you in a more private manner, please send us a direct message or contact us via live chat.

Answer: This is what the site advertised: For 14 day access, $14.95, and for a year $39.80. However, signing up for ANY service aloows the site to store your payment information for further billing, and getting in touch with them, much less obtaining help is nigh impossible. After two weeks they will pull $39.80 MONTHLY from your payment method (please see my review and others on Google and yelp for further verification of this).
Answer: Do not use this site!
Answer: I had to cancel my Debit Card account with Bank of America, because the Bank refused to block LiveCareer from my account. I wonder if they are in cahoots or what? I believe a class action suit may be required so we can get our funds back.
Answer: Call your bank and change your card number Call them and let them know you have contacted your bank and will contact the better business bureau of you don't get a full refund. Then contact the better bBB and file a formal complaint. You will have a refund within a week. That's how I got my money back
Answer: Dont waste your time trying to contact them. I went to my bank and had all future billing refused AND I went to the State Attorney General and reported them.
Answer: Hello, Sarah - Thank you for getting in touch with us, our subscriptions are auto-renewing, we have a continuous billing feature that charges your account after the 14-day period and every month for the regular price afterward. However, if you are only interested in the 14-trial and wish to avoid any recurring charges simply cancel your subscription before beforehand. We hope that this helps clear things up for you, if you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know. Best regards, LiveCareer US
Thank you, Kimberly, for sharing your feedback and for giving us a great rating.
