WISH i HAD READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE DOING A CV FOR MY 16 YEAR OLD SON - £23.80 TAKEN FROM OUR ACCOUNT, AS OTHERS TOLD IT WAS IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, REQUEST FOR A REFUND 'REFERRED TO THE REFUND DEPT FOR A DECISION IN 2 DAYS'!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

We apologize for any inconveniences we do explain when you select our 14 days access period that after the 14 days it will auto enroll into the monthly service. It also explains you that you can cancel at any time. This alert is also given when the credit card information is requested where it explains that unless you cancel you authorize to charge you every four weeks at the current rate. Lastly when you finish enrolling you receive an e-mail explaining this as well.

I used LiveCareer one time and was willing to pay the small upfront fee of approximately $2.95. Six months later, I discovered that they had charged me $34.95 for the past six months. I had NO idea that this was happening or that I authorized this to be done. After several calls and emails, they refunded four months' worth of charges, but they refused to refund two months' worth. They claimed that they sent me a confirmation email, which they said had the terms, but I have absolutely no record of receiving it, and they were unable to produce a copy of it either. When Anna B. On here says that their terms are clear, she is not being truthful. They are NOT clear. They have a sneaky approach, called gray charging, wherein they bury the notification that they will be charging you additional fees in a plethora of fine print. Poor Anna B, she has got to have one of the most miserable jobs there is. Can you imagine spending your entire day telling people that the earth is flat when EVERYONE knows it isn't!? In my last email, I told LiveCareer that I would be sharing my experience with them on the Internet, and here I am, the first of many reviews I will be posting! And since my local tv news station's consumer protection department recommends also reporting shady sites like LiveCareer to the FTC, I will be doing that as well! The business plan of this company is to deceive people of money, and that's it! Look at the resources they have allotted to deal with the complaints - they have a representative responding to nearly every review posted on the Internet.

Our subscription prices and policies are clearly stated in the details of the subscription underneath each price option, prior to purchase. We also he details of subscription in bullet form as well as in the confirmation email we sent automatically upon purchase. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email, and self- cancellation in your Account Settings! If a request for cancellation is made there will be no charges that will be incurred.

Jennifer, an overwhelming majority of our subscribers are aware of the many ways to cancel their subscription, and do so in a timely manner. We are also not quite sure why you would allow a charge that you claim you know nothing about to continue to appear on your banking statement for a full six months without doing further research.

If you have any questions, our customer service team is available 18 hours a day, 7 days a week from 6am- Midnight EST at toll free 1-888-816-0576 or through live chat on our site. This site is for those have never formatted a resume or cover letter. Trust me, you could goggle examples on the web and get the same info. Yes, I too was drawn in by the $1.95 (excuse me, what ended up $2.95) "try us" period. I began this pitiful experience on July 17th, cancelled on july 23rd. On Aug 10th I was charged $35.10. NICE! Live Career. Pat yourself on the back for another vicious scam. What I can't understand is how this company is allowed to continue this... Hopefully my bank dispute can end this. I really don't want to have start a legal action for continue abuse in my account.

PLEASE! DO NOT ENTER INTO ANY AGREEMENT WITH LIVE CAREER/MY PERFECT RESUME.

As many others have said, I thought I was paying for 14 days at 3.95 and that was it. I didn't see the fine print that it doesn't end it charges 34.95 with no notifications to your email after the initial 3.95. I am sorry to say, I thought it was a professional cost for my spouse (didn't recognize it) for several months before I realized what was happening. Tried to ask for refund(since I never went back on the site) of course they did not. So $140 for 1 page barely useable résumé and I am sick over the scam I just was a part of. (Oh and there is a foreign transaction charge so I am assuming this is an Indian site or some othe 3rd world country with no BBB consumer advocate to try and police the ripoff companies)

As an international company, LiveCareer processes payments through LiveCareer UK, Ltd. with its offices in London, England. Some banks charge an international transaction fee, even when the charge is in US dollars. These fees are charged by your bank and not LiveCareer. With offices here in the United States, we are also a member of the Better Business Bureau.

I am usually a pretty savvy on-line buyer, but I fell down on the job with this one. What the others have said is true, the resume builder on their site seems to work okay (not great, but okay), but when you download to your computer, the document is completely different looking and not suitable for use. STAY CLEAR OF THIS RIP-OFF!

Very handy service

Fast and slow

I am a single mom, fighting cancer, and desperately needed a job. I used their services for ONE DAY - (then cancelled the contract with them - per the terms of the contract) and they STILL KEEP TAKING MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT! It has been a NIGHTMARE trying to STOP THEM FROM STEALING MY MONEY! Word to the wise - whatever you do, DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAM ARTISTS!
It has cost me HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS - for one short resume?!

This is my 3rd time using Live Career

This is my 3rd time using Live Career. The 1st was ok as I am a little slow on a computer, the 2nd was better as I got more familiar, well this 3rd time I truly took my time on all the words and used the tips and 1 week later I can finally say I have a job. This 3rd time I did the cover letter too and I guess that really helped.

This service steals your information, keeps uploading your resume in different forms, you contact support and nothing is resolved or is taken down and then posted at a later time. IF you DO NOT WANT your personal information displayed I highly recommend that you do not use this service as your private information will be posted and top of any google search regardless of whether your account was private or set to not display said information to the public. I have contacted and worked with support countless times, but without any real care or attention to the serious issue at hand. DO NOT USE THEM!
