I've been using LinkedIn Recruiter for over 15 years now and it's sad to see what was once a game changer for recruiting high in demand talent has now been diminished to a very average at best solution, which frankly is way overpriced. InMail response rates have continued to drop, year after year, and now to make things even worse, LinkedIn came up with the brilliant idea of of banning recruiters from doing bulk InMails if their InMail Response Rates fall below 13%. Now for many Recruiters working on your fairly routine to fill hiring needs, that's not an issue, however for those highly skilled Recruiters specializing in finding your unicorns and purple squirrels of the software industry, this is becoming a big problem. Average response rates for these recruiters often falls below this mark. In such cases LinkedIn gives Recruiters a warning the first time and puts them on a 14 day no bulk InMail punishment period for the second offense. If it's not bad enough that all the work involved in researching these crazy difficult to find targets nets extremely low response rates, now LinkedIn is further eroding our Recruiter's productivity by taking away the ability to InMail batches of people at one time. Mind you, this is taking away a critical feature that my company has already paid for. LinkedIn is blaming everything on the Recruiters and not taking any ownership of the problem themselves, which is very frustrating to say the least. So bottom line, if you've got very difficult to fill hiring needs, LinkedIn Recruiter might not be the best solution out there any longer.

I had to go on Disability 12 years ago. Up until that time, I had been an RN with a BSN and Infection Prevention/Control certification for 10 years. I had much experience in both Oncology in many different settings, and later in Infection Prevention/Control and Quality and knowledge of Accreditation requirements, areas that were somewhat unique. So I made my profile and became involved in LinkedIn. I was able to connect with other business and healthcare personnel through this site. After I became disabled and had to retire from nursing, I didn't use LinkedIn much, but they still connected with me. I found out when connections got promotions, so I could congratulate them, I saw where long time peers worked and could access them, and mainly, even now (almost 4 times a week!) I find out that people have looked at my profile as they search for people to fill positions! In fact, this past 12 months, my profile has been checked 3-4 times a week, even though I state perfectly clear that I'm retired due to disability! So to those who are still out there working, you can be assured that employers and personnel departments and recruiters ARE checking you out! That is VERY GOOD if you are looking for job/career opportunities. On the other hand, some of the job opportunities I get are nothing that I'd either qualify for nor want! However, if I was looking for a new position, from what I see in my LinkedIn, and the times I'm checked out, I would definitely become a LinkedIn member, which is free.

The trolls ban your account by reporting you and then it takes forever to prove you are you. LinkedIN is one of those media companies that are incompetent. It was great under the former CEO. Roslansky has no ability to be wise or discerning.

I don't have a voice anymore. Who in America has a voice anymore?

Cyberbullies are winning again.

How is politics, my name plus my last initial, and my real companies not a real account? If I want to state the truth about what my store manager did to me, then I get to do so. There are really mean people in this world and the victims get to state the truth and how angry we get about it. I get really tired of being a punching bag for other people. It's why I chose 'activism' for my LinkedIN platform and to show people in oppressed countries to keep fighting against horrific odds. People want to shut them up!

Then, initially I was getting no information from LinkedIN on what was happening and was going in circles trying to access anything and started threatening legal action! I legit think LinkedIN was gaslighting me with Captchas moving around on me so I couldn't rejoin LinkedIN. Because I selected the correct way up and it said I did not. I'm not stupid or blind.

I recently posted a job on Linkedin. It cost my small business $150 and only received 2 unqualified applicants. Frankly, Ive gotten better results on Craigslist for a fraction of the price. But, that's not really the issue. I stopped the Linkedin add after 3 weeks and then tried to delete my credit card account. The delete' link is extremely hard to find, and after I finally found it, it wouldnt let me delete my credit card info even after the job post was closed and completely paid. There is no support number to call, only an email support link. Their stupid site keeps giving me inaccurate help information to resolve the issue. It feels like Linkedin is holding my credit card information hostage!

After multiple emails to their LinkedIn Customer Support, the last message I received was, " I wish I had an immediate resolution for you. This particular issue will need to be escalated to our internal research team. I understand this may be frustrating but as soon as I get an update, I'll let you know. Seriously? Im sure this could have been taken care of a week ago with one phone call.

LinkedIn is owned by Microsoft. You may have heard, they make a lot of money. Too bad they cant afford a Linkedin customer service represtitive you can reach by phone! Oh, but they do have sales reps you can talk too immediately. UNACCEPTABLE! After I delete my credit card, I will delete my Linkedin account! Theyve waisted too much of my time on their incompetent website!

I gave up on LinkedIn
September 21, 2023

Since my initial attempts to use LinkedIn in 2016, my experience has been anything but awful. Time and again, I've meticulously provided detailed and accurate information, especially during my endeavor to establish a business profile. Despite all my efforts, I'm consistently met with account restrictions.

What heightens my concerns is the noticeable absence of a reliable customer support system. It's baffling that a platform as renowned as LinkedIn doesn't seem to have a straightforward channel for users to reach out, seek clarifications, or address pressing issues. I've scoured their help sections and made numerous efforts to get in touch, but to no avail. Without answers and lacking clarity on these recurrent restrictions, I'm left feeling marginalized and unheard.

The core essence of platforms like LinkedIn is to foster professional connections and opportunities. But when users, particularly businesses, can't rely on the platform's consistency or obtain requisite support, it severely undermines its very purpose.

It's with genuine disappointment that I've decided to step away, hoping that in the future, LinkedIn might offer a more transparent, communicative, and user-supportive environment.

I gave them full information about my business, such as official websites, phones, emails.

Government is accepted my documents, but not LinkedIn. What are you LinkedIn? Just an awful company registered by some students who don't have time to create normal support system.

I even registered this time for premium as a business. But still restricted. If they will take money from my card I will sue them.

LinkedIn is the worst company I've ever seen in my life! It seems they love bad reviews about themselves. I see there are many bad reviews.

Thanks to the internet I found alternatives.
