Great prices, questionable quality

Both 2 shirts for my second experience. One of the shirts describef as beige with blue stripe. It was pink with black stripe and seams were very sloppy.The second shirt was not as shown on webpage. Webpage shows a very heavy shirt when it's very light weight.

Terrible service
November 24, 2015

I ordered a wall decal for my sons room early October was set to arrive 10/15/15. I contacted the company 3x to request communication about the whereabouts of my package when I did not receive it and asked for a refund. I was finally offered a $5 credit if I spent more than twice that (as if I'd ever order ANYTHING from them again) and told by "Sarah" in customer service there was nothing else they could do and to call my post office. As of today 11/23/15 my package is delayed somewhere in New York and I am out the $23 spent. Beyond disappointed with this experience and will never order from this site again.

Their items are poor quality. They make it impossible to get your money back. Returns must be sent to China and you pay the shipping. It's a scam. Good luck trying to talk to customer service.

I am amending my review after Customer Service offered a full refund, shipping included! However, my review title still stands: I believe their size charts are questionable, and there is a lot of "small print" policy info on their site that should be read carefully, especially as pertains to returns.

Original Review:

I consulted the size chart and read reviews before ordering a new raincoat. My $25.98 item arrived in good time, but the shipping was a little steep at $10.36. However, the fit was unacceptable—bust too small, hips way too big, and sleeves way too long—and I wanted to return the raincoat. I submitted a customer service ticket to obtain a Product Return Form.

The reply I received stated "Due to the global epidemic, we were forced to close our overseas warehouses." The item had to be returned to China, yet it was shipped from Springfield Gardens, New York! None of this was mentioned on the website. Customer Service further stated "Returns can take from 20-30 days" and "returning to China may not be the most economical option" and "we suggest keeping the item." They also proposed two other offers: 20% reward of product value or 10% refund of product value.

I would be wary of ordering from this company unless you know exactly what you want. This was a disappointing experience, but at least the company made it right in the end.

FAST DELIVERY
December 18, 2022

So meghan cx service supervisor contacted me refunded the shiping costs. I now have the jacket i ordered. It did take close to a month to get the package but overall I am satisfied with the quality of the jacket. Fits perfectly.

My return was not accepted

I wanted to return my dress (I was not happy with quality of the fabric), they would not accept a return and only offered 15% refund (which is silly). Will never be ordered from them again.

Firstly, the prices always seem too good to be true. And so it turns out to be just that.
The quality is beyond bad! Sizes are made for mini people; fabric weights are gossamer; construction is nonexistent. Oh, and when you want to return something, there really is no such policy, even though they state that they have one. Returning means YOU have to pay shipping back to China! And the level of English usage would require an interpreter! My items, shoddily constructed, either grossly too large or miniature sized, which I wanted to return would cost more to ship than I paid. And if you choose returning something, you must contact their factory in China yourself. Good luck with that!
They then offer you another option. Accept 30 cents on the dollar credit, toward their other merchandise. However, if you select that, the credit is good for one week! And try to apply the credit to a new purchase. Good luck with that! They allow only a small portion to be applied. There are so many limits and complications, you'll just give up and throw the merchandise away and write off the entire foolish enterprise and maybe write a review like this one and read Kafka's 'The Trial' while you wait for any resolution.

The products are of the worst quality, the delivery time is very long because the goods are from China. Despite the regulations, they make returns difficult. If you want to return you will be put off as you are asking for $ 40 shipping, return to China only and no customer service contact. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, scammers

Bad Material

The material / fabric is very cheap, thin and not Polo shirts/ Pants as advertise
Never will buy from them again. They are hard to contact and refuse to refund your full amount you paid for the order I reported them to the BBB

POOR PRODUCT & CUSTOMER SERVICE

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUSINESS! Immediately upon receiving this item, ordered in 2 sizes larger as instructed in garment page and finding it so tight I could hardly get it on and which could not even be buttoned having a 2-inch gap, I initiated a refund, It's been one month now, and instead of being "contacted within one business day' by a customer service rep, several days would go by with no response whatsoever and me having to send yet another inquiry. Those responses I finally did get, I followed their instructions to provide further "proof" that the item did not fit only to be given a further run around even after photographs were sent, no telling me to send them my measurements by using a tape measure which I do not own and refuse to purchase simply on their idiotic behalf. NEVER have I dealt with such a shoddy business with such sub par merchandise and business methods. STEER CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LIGHTINTHEBOX UNLESS YOU ARE AWARE AND OK WITH THE BELOW INFORMATION:
In late August 2021, I ordered about 6 items of clothing advertised on LightInTheBox. To an item, none of the articles of clothing looked like the online pictures advertised on the site.

They were all VERY, VERY CHEAP KNOCK OFFS.

Additionally, I did not understand why the delivery was taking so long until I received a notice from the company telling me that my package was being mailed directly from China and was "... held up in customs..."

Lesson learned...

BUYER BEWARE

Bad quality, return process impossible. Customer Services even described return process as 'hassle' so had to settle for 20% off price of a garment which I will never wear!

Clothes that don't fit

I made six orders from Light in the Box. Everything that I ordered for myself, in American Size 2xL came with a size that is apparently about a Medium. I think that the problem is that the clothes are made in China, and in China, at least as of 2007, a 4xL isn't big enough to fit an American 2x. I went to your site and spent over an hour and a half trying to get your return policy. Eventually, my wife and I managed to enter the information for 5 orders for return. However, we were directed to send this information, and await instructions on how and where to send the ordered clothing for return and either replacement with corect sized clothing, or refunds. We sent the information off, and have not, as yet, received anything for the next step. There are about 7-8 things I need to send back and would appreciate some timely further information before I die, start to rot away and shrink to the size the orders actually were.

Satisfied with purchase

I was notified that the purchase would be delayed and if I would like to cancel or wait for my item. I chose to wait and recieved it promptly with no problems. To be given the option to instead of just canceling my order was great. Very pleased with how light in the box kept me in the loop.

Both my daughter and ordered shoes theough this site. We both got the wrong shoes sent to us and never got a reply when trying to return them. In fact, as opposed to other sites, where you can manage, return and cancel your orders through your account, Light inthe Box did not allow us to do that as our orders had disappeared.

We tried to email them various times but they never answered; we ended up contacting paypal and are still trying to receive our refund. Meanwhile we have had to send the items back AT OUR OWN EXPENSES, so we now find ourselves without money AND witouut the shoes we wanted! Plus we have had a lot of running around and stress due to this!

Never again will we use it, nor recommend it!

Buyer beware!

I placed an order in September needing it for a wedding. Paid extra to have it expedited to insure it would arrive in time. It didn't. They debited my account September 24th and it arrived 2weeks after the wedding. I've tried repeatedly to get a hold of customer service (by the way it's no where on the website). Finally received an email with still no customer service rep to help me return the item. The instructions they give to to to receive a return label don't work. I've had numerous friends try to help and they couldn't figure it out either. The outfit wouldn't have worked due to the torso being extremely short. So frustrating not to be able to talk to a human! Still am in need of returning. I'm not about to be out of $180.00!

We firmly believe returning an item should be easy. I've looked up previous conversation, and actually we didn't yet provide you with the return instructions. A first problems was that you've contacted us while not being logged in to your account. This by itself causes great difficulties, as we have over 1,000,000 orders in our database. To find your order, we will need to ask for the order number, or provide us with another valid reference such as your email address. I've also found that this order reached you within promised schedule. Be aware that you've ordered a handmade outfit, which is advertised with a processing time of 9-12 business days. Your parcel was dispatched on October the 8th, and delivered 5 days later on the 13th. Please understand that the supplier cannot make the product faster, because you've chosen the expedited shipping method.

Garbage. Don't order from this company.

Too bad I have to give one star. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY! The product is garbage, arrived too late for my event, though I wouldn't have worn it anyway. Super cheap fabric and so wrinkled it is unrecognizable to the picture on their site. Requested a refund in the 7 day "return for any reason" window and then learned that I would have to pay return shipping to China, though the package arrived from a US address. In their customer service email reply they tell you that they've found the return shipping to China to cost almost as much as the product and can take months, so instead did I want a 10% refund or a 20% credit to spend at their store? Then when I replied (the same day) to that message, I was past the 7-day window once I got their next reply, so now nothing. What a SCAM! Skip ordering from this company. Terrible.

I've checked through previous correspondence and am afraid there could have been a major misunderstanding. You made a return request, and only complained that the dress was delivered too late for the event. We very regret this, but considering that this order reached you within promised schedule, you would have been responsible for return postage. This order was made on the 22nd of November, and parcel delivered 11 days later on the 3rd of December. Also allow me to point out that in none of your messages you've mentioned that there was an issue with the quality. Consequently, the offered 10% partial refund or 20% credit to keep the dress would be deemed as highly inappropriate. Please don't worry, we stand behind our products and will immediately fully refund you, the dress doesn't need to be returned. Finally, we don't have an address in the US, the address you saw on the shipping label is of the USPS depot, with whom we don't cooperate.
