My over 4000 refrigerator that was brand new and 7 months old, ice maker went out. Called customer service went through all the trouble shooting and was told they had to send someone out. 20 days later still no repair and no way to reach their vendor. Manager Clarence calls me every wee to say I'm in good hands and they are working on it. Worst hands possible.
Bought a fridge from LG in December 2019. Now, almost all of the plastic door bins have cracked and it hasn't even been 2 years. Never in my life have had a plastic part in a fridge break, until I owned an LG fridge.
Now even though it's still under warranty, LG is refusing to replace the parts claiming it's just "cosmetic damage". It goes way beyond cosmetic damage—one of the bins is completely shattered and unusable, while most of the remaining bins already have hairline cracks and will shatter soon enough.
LG not only is clearly trying to get away with planned obsolescence on its appliances by using cheap materials, their customer service is horrible. Avoid LG like the plague.
Do not buy LG products or their warranties. I bought my LG refrigerator thinking I made a good choice. NOPE. Stopped working on my 3 months later. Called the warranty in. LG Tech came to my home and told me that the product won't be able to be repaired until a month later. Time passes and I'm informed that someone can repair. On the day of repair no one shows up. No phone call. No notification. So now I'm here with a refrigerator that doesn't work. Their services are piss poor.
I am sorry to see that others here had poor experiences with LG.
Essentially all of my AC window units are LG... at both houses... so far, so good.
And my phone is LG... it is simple but fits the bill.
I once saw an LG fridge with built-in TV, which intrigued me.
I know it is not a posh line... but as I said, I am satisfied.

It's amazing how long my LG kitchen appliance works. I bought the dishwashing machine like a decade ago and it still does the job. Whereas my friends are always complaining about theirs and some of them have changed several of them in this time.
Marlon, he was great from the time he walked through the door. Unfazed by the mess another vendor had made of my tv. Professional and offered suggestions on how to improve layout of our tv. I would highly recommend him.
Good evening gentlemen! I'm already buying my 3rd plasma TV from LG. All like the quality, sound, and diagonal. But I noticed one thing, after two years of use it starts to stutter. Can turn off by itself or just does not show the picture, but the sound is. Who has faced this?
LG is the worst company ever! First it took 3 months to get a response and approval for a replacement ac! Then I purchase a new and try to get the refund for the new ones and they go silent. Call and was promised a supervisor call next morning over a week later and I'm still waiting. Now I'm out 213 for the original one and another 213 for the new one I purchased. Worst company ever will never purchase another LG ever!
Bought 2 dishwashers and both of the the motors went out. Nothing is ever covered in the warranty. They will insist on sending a tech out which would cost more than going and buying a cheap dishwasher. I will never buy a LG product again.
I bought a set of appliances, fridge, microwave, oven and dishwasher and have only had it less than 2yrs and the all have gone bad in one way or another; bad compressor after 2yrs, microwave handle broke off, stove numbers don't display, numbers on temperature dial erased while cleaning, fan and light on microwave do not turn on anymore. Before LG I had GE and it lasted me 20yrs with no problem! We only upgraded because they were old. Will never buy LG again and will not recommend it to anybody I know.
I bought and LG LTCS******* fridge 1.5 yrs ago. I have two shelves where the plastic holding the glass is cracked - one actually fell out.

While they advertise 24hr service, a basic check of the issue in the fridge itself took 4 days and further replacement of spoilt part took another 3 days, that too after multiple calls at multiple centres. Recommend everyone to never buy an LG product.
Never purchase a product from LG. Our first refrigerator quit working after one month and LG refused to repair or replace it. We had to go through Home Depot to get a replacement. Our second refrigerator in 4 years quit working two weeks ago. There are no service technicians in our area so that is not an option. LG will not issue a refund as requested. We have just been getting the run around for weeks. I urge you to stay away from LG as both their products and their customer service is terrible.
I bought a top load LG washer. It has never cleaned my clothes well. There is no center agitator and it is supposed to be water and energy efficient. It is not. My clothes come out with totally dry spots and still dirty. I have to always use the add water feature just to try t get them all in water which doesn't always work. A lot of times I have to wash clothes twice. The machine also forms an air pocket under the clothes during the wash cycle and they never get pulled down into the water. I have called LG customer service many time, spending hours on the phone with them and gotten nowhere. I've done everything including having the repair technician check it, as they requested. It's a design flaw, not a broken machine. Very, very frustrated!
Buyer beware. I have owned what I thought was a very nice LG microwave with smart diagnosis for 1 year and 8 months. It recently started getting really hot on the outside, and not heating the food. Called customer service, and they told me that they basically diagnosed it over the phone just like the smart diagnosis would do. Said they could send out a tech, but that would most likely be more than buying a new one. 1 year and 8 months is all this microwave lasted. I will not be buying another LG product.
We have been trying to get a Lg refrigerator fixed for 2 months under warranty. We have had 10 so called technicians out at our house it is literally a joke. Still not working this is how Lg treats people at this point they should do the right thing and replace their junk. We probably have 20 hours on the phone and it does not include the time dealing with and waiting for technicians. Please save yourself the headaches and don't buy anything Lg.
Bought lg electric range decided to try self cleaner for first time and oven covers in white stuff had lg come out and they did nothing! So as far as their warranty it stinks will never buy Lg again! And I had my range only 6 months. LG doesn't stand behind there warranty!
I regret to say that LG techs who were dispatched to fix my refrigerator were extremely rude and in knowledgeable. One of them claimed he has no way of restoring the unit without destroying the door. I'll never buy an LG unit again
LG stole over £600
I've ordered a monitor a week and a half in advance for a birthday. On the day of the delivery I was informed by the delivery company that LG has not dispatched my order. After calling them multiple times and being told that they will only have the item in stock almost a week later, I've decided to cancel.
I was told that it will take 19 working days to get a refund, which was already ridiculous, but now 10 days later, I'm being told that that's it's going to take another 14! Working days for the refund ( and that's after I had to call them to get this information).
Biggest piece of advice! Get your stuff on Amazon or smt. Just not on LG, unless you want to get your money stolen.
My brand new fridge on the freezer side had a defective seal and everything was covered in freezer burn. They were willing to replace the fridge but I was out of luck on the $200 of food their fridge damaged. They refused to put us thru to a supervisor. I ended up cancelling the order and buying a better product.
Don't waste your time or money on this company, they SUCK! They should be embarrassed!
Answer: They have dangerous appliances, and refused to reimburse us for the repair of an almost new (but over 1 year old) oven that was clearly a manufacturing defect (see image.)
