The company has garnered a reputation for competitive pricing and a user-friendly ordering process, with many customers appreciating the wide selection of contact lenses and efficient customer service. Positive experiences often highlight prompt assistance in correcting orders and addressing prescription issues. However, concerns arise regarding hidden fees during checkout, shipping delays, and occasional inaccuracies in fulfilling prescriptions. While many customers express satisfaction with the overall service, the lack of transparency in pricing and the need for improved communication regarding order changes are common areas for improvement.

Came super quickly! The order was delivered before the expected date.
Ordered Dec 2021. It's now May 2022 and still no rebate. They just keep telling me it'll be a few more weeks. Will NEVER order from them again.
Don't fall for their rebate crap - almost 6 months later mine is still stuck in "Card Fulfillment by VISA Card Processor" - when you call you are just told to keep waiting.
Don't believe you'll receive a rebate. They are fraudulent and overpriced. I do not recommend this business.
I ordered lenses in November, and it's now early May, and my promised $150 rebate still has not arrived. Every time I inquire they say it's coming. Will never order from Lens.com again.
The stated rebate delivery time is 8-10 weeks. They recently added a disclaimer about additional 6+ week delays. We're beyond even that now at over 21 weeks. Given that the rebate is nearly 50% of the order value, this is a serious failure.
I inquired with Lens.com at 19 weeks about the status of the rebate and requested a refund, and the response was: "Hi I do apologize for the issue with the rebate and looking at it we will just need more time for it get through as it can take about 18 to even 19 weeks so for this issue nonetheless we will need to allow time on it..."
When a company offers a "price after rebate," and the "rebate" is $100, and that amount motivates you to buy, but the rebate doesn't come after four months, is that a false representation? It feels like it. Now it's time to buy new lenses. I've written to the company, and they apologized for the delay, but still no rebate. I've contacted the attorney general in their state. I'll have to buy somewhere else, after years of buying from Lens.com
They advertise contact lenses (colors by Air optics) at $56.24 a box for a year's supply ($224.96 total), which is a good price, but they wait until checkout to hide an $86.96 "taxes and fees" charge on top of the shipping, a whopping ~40% upcharge. Nowhere is this disclosed until you submit payment, when you review the order, it's hidden in a grayed out information icon rather than openly disclosed. There's no documentation of where or how they calculate this. Moreover, I live in Delaware so there isn't any tax for them to charge. I've never seen any other online contact lens company charge a hidden fee like this, certainly nothing that raises the price by ~40%. I'm sick and tired of how companies constantly try to hide the true cost of their products. If it costs $75/box, charge $75 a box, don't try to pretend it costs less. I went with them because the other site I looked at charged $75 and lens.com offered the same product for $56. But after their "fee" it's actually more expensive with them. And since my daughter's supply ran out, I don't have time to wait for another order, so now I'm stuck with this. I'll never purchase from them again, and suggest that everyone else avoid them like the plague for this dishonest business practice.
According to their website, a box of Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism Contact Lenses costs $38.24. Their live agent told me that the taxes and fees charged per box are $16.24. That is 42.5% of the normal price! You're basically getting charged for a box and a half!
I asked the agent for a breakdown and explanation of the taxes and fees to explain this added cost. The agent said their office did not have a breakdown and did not know where to find one; They only had the lump sum of $16.24 per box that was provided to them.
I asked repeatedly to have my chat transferred to a supervisor, or for the agent to at least ask someone in their office for additional information, and they refused. They kept repeating the same canned answers and then abruptly ended the chat.
I have to assume that this means the amount in "taxes" and exorbitant fees they are charging per box is completely arbitrary.
This company's business practice is to provide supposed best prices but, CUSTOMER BEWARE, it's all at the expense of a scam rebate policy. 1) the stipulations on rebate submission window, 2) waiting period for all the 7 steps of fulfillment in you actually receiving a rebate (it's now 5 MONTHS processing time), and 3) stipulations on usage of the debit card 'cash' rebate all make for a JOKE!
I've lost well over $300 in rebates from numerous just 3 orders, that I have vowed to go with COSTCO or some other discount lens provider than to deal with this awful company.
Purchased 4 boxes of contact lenses from them yesterday. The advertised price was $62/box with a mail-in rebate so the final price was $28/box. I didn't notice until after I pressed "Place Order" that they charged me a $98 Tax and Handling Fee. The tax in Minnesota is 6%, so that's almost $90 in Handling Fee. $90 to put a product in a box and ship it. I called Customer Service and was told that this is totally normal. We'll see if I actually get the return label promised, but I don't recommend anyone use this shady service.
I ordered my lenses in December 2021 and this was supposed to include a rebate of $150.00 which I should have received in 8-10 weeks. I called them and they said they are experiencing delays. It is now May of 2022 and it has not been processed yet.
Their reason was Covid and Mailing delays. I have no problem with my mail service!
Ordered contact lenses on Lens.com. Pricing was pretty good, but the rebate made them the best price. I ordered four boxes, and filed the rebate form online. Almost six months later, still no rebate. When you contact customer service, you get slow-rolled. Ordered them in Nov 2021; still no rebate in May 22--almost six months later. Don't buy anything from Lens.com! It's a giant scam. Too bad, as this used to be a trustworthy company. Don't believe me? Read the RECENT online reviews!
When I placed an order I was given a total only to receive a receipt via email with $100 added on top of the total quoted. I instantly called back to see if he had made a mistake. He said no that processing fees were added. NOT once did he ever mention processing fees. I cancelled immediately.
PLEASE PLEASE BEWARE -THE REBATE IS A SCAM. Please choose to purchase from another company. The advertising is misleading about the full price as well as the rebate offer. The process does not put the customer first and fails either with multiple delays, expirations or no rebate found. I purchased my contacts thinking the rebate would provide a bigger discount than other choices. The rebate delayed beyond 6 weeks. I checked and apparently per the guidelines have missed the window by 4 days after waiting more than 6 weeks for the company to make good on their commitment. This is very frustrating and I'm hoping that something is done to prevent this from happening to others.
I ordered contact lenses for my son from Lens.com using Google's shopping service. I uploaded my prescription which they read incorrectly and shipped the wrong prescription. When I contacted them with their mistake they said it would take 2 business days to email me a return mail label. Only upon receiving the item returned would they ship us the correct prescription. I begged them to ship out the correct prescription so my son won't run out of lenses. They said that wasn't their policy. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They said there was none available but they would have one call me back which would take 3 business days. Lens.com is a shady outfit. Don't order from them.
I placed my order with $160 dollar lens.com rebate. After 6 months of waiting instead of sending out the rebate card they decided to just delete it without telling me. Now they are trying to tell me that it did not qualify for a rebate.
Ordered with a gift card limit of $100. When a subtotal is given, its expected that it be for the full amount. They tacked on over $40 in taxes and fees after the order was complete. This particular order had a rebate. It was giving a total after the rebate, thus not giving me the correct amount at checkout as well. I was charged $160 for two boxes... from a website that was advertising $20 a box. Had to cancel my order. When confronted with this experience customer service closed the chat. Will not ever buy again.
Great website, easy to use and really good prices!
Answer: I am in the same boat. I have not received my rebate and filled out all the paperwork correctly. My order was 9/16/2021. They have not offered any assistance to help. I have reached out multiple times. They over charge with processing fees and then with the offer of a rebate... which is not easy to follow the directions. Yout have to fill out rebate form which is not available for 30 days and has to be filled out 60 days from purchase. Then 4 months later they will not send the rebate with an the response is to wait it will come... I have been hearing for 2 months.
Answer: Apparently and unfortunately yes. Will not be using lens.com again as well due to this
Answer: Isabel, I'd be happy to answer that for you. Yes, the contacts are legit. We sale the same lenses that you would receive from the eye care profesisonal. If you need any assistance placing an order please contact us at 18005367266. Thank you, Helen Manager Lens.com.
