I signed up with LegalZoom to create a Living Trust (Big Mistake). I went on line and completed the forms that requested information. But being a College Graduate with a Masters Degree, I apparently did not know the legal definition of the items that were presented in plain English. Accordingly I had some questions that needed to be answered. That is where the trouble began an Monday I stayed on the line continually fro 8 hours. (I have unlimited calling privilege and a speaker phone that allowed me to wait) At the end of the 8 hours and several requests for a call back. I gave up.

I canceled my order, demanded my money back. Also, I have instructed my credit card company to void that transection.

I am very pleased that I have selected LegalZoom. The Estate Planning bundle contains all the essential but critical documents that will put my mind in peace for good. The documents are shipped via special carriers to you and a beautifully designed binder and dividers come with the documents. In addition, clear instructions are attached to each of the documents, guiding you step by step for you to finalize the documents with signatures. All of the services are charged at a very reasonable price.

I ordered an LLC with the basic option which is $0 + state filing fees. I opted out of their registered agent service and all other services. Yet they proceeded to put themselves as my registered agent. I had to call them and tell them to cancel it. They were trying hard to persuade me to keep it. They eventually canceled it. (They we're going to charge me $249). Now I have to call the state and fix this registered agent issue. Time wasted. I will NEVER use legal zoom again. Steer clear! They are doing shady businesss!

I started using Legal Zoom in September 2014. I am not very business savy and this is my first experience. I am very pleased with the overall service and phone calls. However, today I had the pleasure of working with Joseph Kim, a patient and very helpful man. Please ask for him if you are reviewing this site. He took the time to explain things to me in a way that I can not only understand but made it much easier for me to remember. Thank you Joseph. You are terrific at what you do and made me feel as though I was speaking to someone who actually wanted to help me and not just going through the motions. Legalzoom is unethical in its business practice. I say this because Legalzoom collected the fees to start my new LLC business, however, after 6 months, and about 20 hours of follow up on my end, Legalzoom failed to complete my order. After 6 months of going back and forth, I was forced to pay another company to do what I paid Legalzoom to do. This other company completed my LLC order in 2 days and charged me half as much. Legalzoom did not issue a refund. After 6 months, Legalzoom sent me an email claiming to have attempted multiple times to reach me after I stopped contacting them. I had, afterall, paid someone else to do what they could not. Legalzoom would not issue a partial refund either. The only way to recover my losses is by filing a lawsuit against them --- which I have no time to do. I have saved the written email conversations in case there comes a time I can pursue action against them or there is a class action lawsuit.

While searching for a way to copyright a poem I came across LegalZoom. They kept popping up so I assumed they were who I needed to use to get this done. I didn't know they paid to have there information pop up over and over again. On 11/18/2016 I paid them $150.00 to have the copy right done on my poem. They said it would take 4 to 6 weeks and it would be complete and I would receive a copy. That was a lie! Today is 3/7/2017 and I still haven't received anything so I gave them a call only to find out that after they submitted my poem they were done with the transaction. I had to call the U.S. Copy Right Office myself to check on the status and I found out I could have submitted my whole collection of poems for Copy Right and it would have only cost me $55.00! I feel like a fool but you don't have too! Now you know, if you need something Copy Written do it yourself. You can also do wills, divorces and several other things they offer yourself as well so don't be taken like I was...

I went to search for the name I want to trademark, the cost at Legal Zoom? Starts at $199. The cost on other sites including the US patent office? $0! If they rip you off at the start, where else are they doing it? Hard pass for me.

I used LegalZoom one time to get power of attorney over my dying father and LegalZoom Continued to charge my card monthly for some bogus Advantage Plus membership that I never signed up for. It took me a while to realize I was being charged. When I called to get a refund I was told they would refund half of the money. If you use this company for anything at all beware of auto charges on your credit card for things you did not sign up for.
