I purchased flying tickets with this company. They said you need to do an online check in. When i took the flight I actually paid more then my actual return ticket because airline had a certain time space for online booking (24-2hours before the flight). And same thing happened on my return flight because even Ryanair themselves didn't make it clear the reason why they charged me (they just said lastminute.com hasn't updated the terms and conditions so you are not the first passenger to face this). My tickets costed 106£ for me, my husband and our baby, but we ended up paying extra 220£ to Ryanair (2*110£).
I tried to speak with airline and they said you need to contact lastminute.com because they should provide that information for you.
Later i tried to contact lastminute.com and asked them to review this case and they only said we have sent you 1 confirmation email for your booking and asked to do online check in. I asked them why they never stated the time limit for that online checkin and they said if you didn't pay extra so that we could do it for you we cant help what is the time limit for airline. Basically they didnt care. So my review here is to help other people who might consider booking with them. Look at the poor reviews they have online. They customer service is the poorest I've experienced, they simply don't care what cause to you. First they misinform you and after they say it is your problem whatever you face because of us. Im extremely dissatisfied and will never again deal with them.

We booked a studio at Nice France for 10 nights in August 2023 through Lastminute
When we arrived at the "studio" we were just speechless. Such a disgusting place, we have never seen in our life. 2 rooms next to us were occupied by some dodgy people who were extremely loud all night coming out of their apartments and selling drugs I guess because it was every 10-15 minutes only 2-3 minutes outside. We didn't sleep all night because we were so scared that they might break our door, which by the way had about 5 locks. My husband stayed up all night with a fork in his hand in case he had to use it.We called the landlord - he didn't answer until the morning when he offered to speak to the building manager - and is there one in this nasty hole? We complained to Lastminute - only chatbot that advised to wait 24 hours but in fact it took them more than 48 hours just to say, that we would not be refunded for the booking because we left the accommodation only a few hours later - literally at sunrise. I will contact the financial ombudsman to claim my expenses definitely. I have pictures and recordings.

AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY!
WE BOOKED FLIGHTS VIA THEM AND THE AIRLINE CANCELLED THE FLIGHTS. BUT LAST MINUTE HAD NOT REIMBURSED US! I ENDED GOING THROUGH MY CREDIT COMPANY TO REPORT THIS WHOM GOT THE MONEY BACK FOR ME VIA A CHARGEBACK. THEY HAVE UNBELIEVABLE WAYS OF GETTING THROUGH TO THEM! THEIR PHONE LINES CUT OFF IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE AND IT WAS AFTER FINDING MULTIPLE PHONE NUMBERS ONLINE BEFORE WE COULD. THEY REFUSED TO REFUN BASED ON THE FACT IT WASNT THEIR FAULT BUT WERE OFFERING A VOUCHER. I WAS ALSO DUPED INTO BELIEVING THAT THIS WAS THE SET LEGISLATION CURRENTLY! BUT THAT WAS A LIE! I WOULS PAY EXTRA BUT WOULD AVOID THIS COMPANY! IF USE ANY TRAVEL SERVICES USE YOUR CREDIT CARD!

So this disgusting company robbed me of 700 pounds. I've been in a battle to secure it back to me. Bank couldn't help, paypal didn't help, travel insurance couldn't help and Abta was as useful as a plaited fart.
I went to action fraud who advised me to take lastminute.com to small claims court. It took a lot of getting evidence and papers but I was in court yesterday. I won the case easily and will now proceed to the high court to get my refund. I advise everyone to do this, it dosent cost a lot of money and to know this is the only way to get your refund from this scum scam company. They just take money and don't book anything just keep the money. The 5 directors have just been hauled before the court and imprisoned for scamming all the tax and furlough funds. Check the news on them. Lastminute.com is now putting a woman director in their place and changes are promised. Do not believe them, read the feedback on here they have been doing this for years. They move head office every 3 years, its now in Switzerland, no guesses where these villains bank. Hidden millions in Swiss bank accounts. They are thieves. Take them to court BEWARE these thieves are linked to Booking.com so expect the same from them.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED WHEN BOOKING A "LAST MINUTE.COM HOLIDAY" AT A COST OFF £2000 DUE TO FLY OUT A FEW DAYS AFTER BOOKING
FIRST THE AGENT MISPELLS WIFES NAME - SO I NOW CANT CHECK IN TO AIRPORT - AFTER 2HRS OF CALLS AT 13P PER MINUTE I FINALLY GET THE NAME CHANGED

AGENT INFORMS ME I CAN TAKE UNLIMITED WEIGHT CABIN BAGS ONTO THE FLIGHT

TURNS OUT I CAN ONLY TAKE 3 SMALL BAGS THAT MUST FIT UNDER THE SEATS - ADDITIONAL BAGS WITH THE WORLDS WORST FLIGHT COMPANY RYAN AIR WILL COST £50 PER BAG PER PASSENGER EACH WAY - £300!

I purchased a family holiday to Malta and had to cancel due to Covid19 as I was not risking taking my 2 little children outside of the uk. I purchased my package with lastminute.com. I tried several times through endless phone calls and emails to both lastminute.com and flynowpaylater to explain myself. Lastminute.com said, flynowpaylater had already made payment, to whom I don't know as we were due to travel in August 2020 and I cancelled our holiday in March 2020. This was an instalment payment plan, flynowpaylater didn't give/ offer us a refund of our money but rather bullied us with threatening letters and phone calls until we payed in full the holiday we didn't go. We are in the process of finding a lawyer to retrieve our money as we don't think we have been dealt fairly. Flynowpaylater or lastminute.com didn't offer a voucher, accept change of dates or try to help us but rather took everything for a holiday that didn't happen. I purchased insurance which said change of date, information ect as I knew things like this can happen but when we showed that as a prove, both of these companies refused to help. I don't write reviews but am taking my time to write this so it saves someone from going through this heartache. You will hear from us soon flynowpaylater. I would have given 0 stars but the thingy doesn't allow 0 star. Very unreasonable companies, they didn't even investigate but went ahead to take everything from a family of 4 in this critical Covid19 times when money is a problem for everyone. DON'T BUY YOUR HOLIDAY FROM LASTMINUTE.COM OR FLYNOWPAYLATER.

We booked flights with lastminute.com last year but the airline cancelled the trip, Airline refunded us the full amount of the flights but it went to Lastminute.com. When I asked when I would get the funds they advised that they had not heard from the airline (despite me forwarding the email from the airline advising funds had been refunded). They then replied stating that I had three options first two option were for credit vouchers using Lastminute.com but if I wanted my money back it would be a £25 handling fee per person (party of 5)...and proceeded to give me £10 back!
I disputed this and they noted that this was in their terms and conditions - they did NOTHING and certainly did not handle anything...

**I took them to the small claims court and WON!**

However they still did not pay and this now included court costs that I finally resorted to enforcement action and they have NOW PAID but costing them twice as much as they originally owed me!

AWFUL COMPANY who have the arrogance to believe that customers will NOT complain and standing by their alleged "terms and conditions" - which they believe is legal and as they are a corporate company they have "right" on their side...

DO NOT USE

Booked a holiday to St Lucia for mine and my girl friends 50th birthday. The hotel we stayed in was part of a chain of 3 hotels in St Lucia. Last Minute when we booked was advertising all 3 hotels on 1 web page with no clear distinction of the different hotels. The page showed photot from ALL 3 hotels most of which were of the main beach front hotel. So naturally we thought we were going to be on the beach front or at least very close. But no we were 2 miles front the beach. When we took this up with Last Minute (as they had change the page that advertised these hotels and no longer advertised these hotels on a single page) they took no responsibility for this mix up being their fault. I spent 2 months fighting to get a refund but they gave us nothing claiming they advertised it property when they did not. When there is a problem ALL their representatives took the attitude that it was not their fault and the customer is wrong. AWEFUL COMPANY WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

I booked a holiday on Lastminute.com on 02.06.2023. When I completed the booking after checking everything, the system reverted my surname to my other half's surname. I noted this immediately and called lastminute customer services to suggest there has been an error by the system whilst booking. The gentleman asked me to send a copy of my passport via email and suggested maybe the airline will accept a change request.

On 09.06, after following up several times and making calls to the airline(Qatar, who suggested its the agents responsibility to get this changed) came back saying they are unable to confirm change on the request.

On 10.06.23 a lady suggested to me that I was better off cancelling and rebooking as they will charge me the admin fee for cancellation and refund me the rest of my deposit. So I waited patiently for 14days as suggested that the refund will take place. In the meantime I checked and spoke to the online agents regularly who suggested my refund was being processed.

I went on chat to an agent today 27.06.2023 and to my horror he wrote:

'sorry we cant refund you as we have taken the admin fee(collected after I paid a deposit) and my deposit as a penalty for cancelling voluntarily!'

So I asked the agent if money grew on trees and if £550 was a small amount? Shockingly his response was 'yes'!

Funny thing is, I wasn't looking to cancel, I only wanted a name change and go to my holiday. But this is how I got treated unfairly by the agent and the airline and all they could say was refer to our terms and conditions, not even a sorry!

Deplorable,

I recently booked a flight to St Lucia - 7th to 15th February 2018. I did it online at their website. Unbeknown to me the date changed to 15th March 2018 - and before anyone says that this is not Lastminute.com fault, Yes it is/was - I know that I had booked the correct date. I notified them and was told that I would have to pay in order to get the flight date changed - an extra £2000 on top of the £1300 I'd already paid for 8 days. Unfortunately little did I know that I could have gone on the flight - and on the day of the 15th February presented to the St Lucia's airport and tell them that I needed to return to the UK due to a family emergency - apparently I would have just had to pay a nominal amount instead of the extra £765 Lastminute charged me after I informed them that somewhere along the line, their customer services operator (in India) was charging me an extortionate amount of money for a flight where I was only going to be in the country for 8 days.

Do not use this company. Their practices are unethical, deplorable and fraudulent.

The worts experience have had.

Last-minute refusing to correct the spelling mistake for passengers name for a fly ticket to USA, although I have notified the problem 2 weeks prior the departure, only 24 H before, I have received an email saying that the change was not longer possible and they were forcing me to buy another ticket ( obviously 3 time more expensive) with a partial refund of the previous one in different currency ( euros) and not even into my account but as a voucher, to be used in another occasion, therefore you being trapped and being forced to use their discressfull service again... they are useless and every time I was going to try to speak to someone the call was diverted in INDIA with a poor customer service.
BEFORE USE LASTMINUTE PLEAE THINK TWICE. I DO NOT RECOMEND TO USE THEIR SERVICE TO ANYONE VERY BAD BAD EXPERIENCE

Beware LASTMINUTE.COM!

Absolutely appalling experience. Booked flight for Wednesday from Birmingham to Berlin with a 5* hotel for 6 nights on the website. Was duly informed that the booking was being processed and we would get a confirmation email. This didn't arrive so phoned and was passed around from call handler to call handler and then told the payment had been processed and we would get the email soon.
Set off to stay in a hotel to start our holiday nearer to Birmingham.
At 0.45 this morning received an email to say our booking had been cancelled! No reason or explanation given! Tried repeatedly phoning having to go through all the numbered options and then was cut off each time!
The bank informed me that the payment is still pending on my credit card and that they can't block it and so now I am unable to make any other holiday booking as this will take me over my limit!
I am absolutely disgusted that this company can scam people like it apparently does and get away with it. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY TO BOOK A HOLIDAY! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Please share so that others don't get scammed too!
I intend to report them to Trading Standards and BBC watchdog!

Absolutely terrible service

Absolute terrible agency to book with, I advise all to look elsewhere.
I recently purchased a flight and hotel as a Christmas present for my partner but accidentally booked the wrong dates, I had 24 hours to amend the booking so I contacted lastminute so they could proceed with the amendment. They got back to me 20 hours later saying they couldn't amend it because it was against the hotels policy, but I called the hotel and straight away they said they could make amendment's no problem so for a start that was a blatant lie on lastminutes behalf. They did say after in that case they will try to amend the booking for me because they realised they had been caught out.
One week later when the flight day had come and after numerous calls and emails I had been making and getting no replies, I contacted the hotel and airline and they confirmed that not once has lastminute contacted them to try amend my booking. What a pathetic disgrace of an agency, I have now lost out on 1,200 pound because of their terrible service.

I have forwarded all the recorded calls and emails onto my solicitor and he is gonna act on this immediately and promises me a very positive outcome.

So take my advise DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY

I booked a holiday trip to Barcelona on 24th July and according to website, I was offered a British Airways flight from Heathrow (which is located close to my house) to Barcelona for the afternoon of 29/7 and return 3rd August. I was informed I will get confirmation in hours but as I did not receive any I called the company the afternoon of 24/7 asking for clarification when I was told I should wait for 48 hours but was promised they will send confirmation in 4 hours. Nothing happened until 25/7 midday so I called again and raised my concern and the operator told me it is in process and I will receive confirmation in 4 hours. Nothing happened and then i called again on 26/7 at 9 am asking for clarification when a lovely lady kept me on hold and I was informed they will sort it out in the next 4-6 hours. Again I called after 4 hours when the same lady chased it up and promised a reply back in 2 hours. I had a call at 13:30 saying the flight is not available and she offered me an easy jet flight from Gatwick which is away from home and as far as you know Easy jet is not offering luggage and comfort offered by British Airways. I did not have any option other than accepting the offer.
