Needed to fix a Dell laptop that had the screen broken by being stepped on. Took it to Best Buy where it was purchased and was quoted just under $400. The cost of the laptop new 1 year ago was $550. Absolutely fantastic experience! I accidentally broke my ACER laptop screen. Best Buy, etc wanted $400+ to fix it (almost more than my laptop was worth). Ordered a MacBook Air 11" new LCD screen. Came VERY quick, packed VERY well with handling instructions. Fantastic experience. I will warn novice fix-it: The screen replacement process is extremely difficult. I touched things I should not have and caused damage to other parts of the MacBook screen element (lens diffuser). Take extreme caution when performing repairs. As far as getting the parts however, this site is A+.

Knowing that the change of a broken display in a repair shop would cost around 500 swiss francs i looked for alternatives. I found laptopscreen.com and after some research I decided to order a display there. Shipping to Switzerland took only 2 days! And everything worked fine. Only problem was that transportation costs were higher than the display itself. Still, I saved a lot of money and the screen works perfectly fine.
