I have ordered a FHD screen to replace my brand new thinkpad E480 HD screen given the low resolution, as the FHD was not an option at the time of buying. I have ordered it from the website and the online purchase and the shipping went very smooth.
Nevertheless, once the screen was received, it had multiple defects. They are the following:
1- once the new screen has replaced the original one to make sure it was working, the left side of it showed multiple vertical artifacts from top to bottom, and they were multiple lines. The connected was made sure it was connected properly and the artifacts didn't go away;
2- light was bleeding on the low right corner of the screen over the right hinge;
3- A screen must be fixed using 4 screws, one at each of the 4 corner. Even though the new screen had the exact same dimensions as the new original one, the 4 wholes of the 4 screws did not match all together at the same time. Only 2 wholes could match at any moment, making the new screen impossible to hold/fix within the shell of the laptop screen. This would not be normal at all, given the original screen could be removed/installed quickly and smoothly, just by placing it in the shell and then inserting the screws. As for the new scree, only 2 wholes could be used;
4- while trying to fix the new screen at its place with the 4 screws since perhaps the artifacts were a result of an unstable position and could be fixed once the screen is fully installed, a very gentle push was conducted on the low left side trying to hold it in order to turn the screw. The amount of pressure caused was very minimal. Nevertheless the screen immediately cracked, which is not normal given that the original screen seems strong and nothing can happen to it whenever i press my finger against it with even a much greater force. Even if the screen could properly get installed with the 4 screws and no artifacts/bleeding could exist, the screen would have broken with any gentle finger pressure.
I contacted the support team of the website and at first they offered to replace it once i send pictures and ship the screen again within 7 days through fedex. Nevertheless once they knew it was cracked they refused to do anything as they said they cannot use it or resell it anymore (even with all the other defects i told them about). As a result, the 60 usd plus the 30 usd shipping cost are lost, and somehow a screen was shipped to me without even bothering to test it or make sure it is working. My laptop is new, and therefore this should have been a brand new item in their inventory. I believe they sent me such with a lot of defects given that i live abroad (Beirut, Lebanon) and thus replacing a defected product would have been of such a big hassle.
Ordered a screen for next day delivery on their website. I got an email from a rep that they would give me a tracking number but they never did. So today I contacted them and asked where is my screen and they said they did not process the order on time and they are not willing to accept the blame. They offered a $5 discount only which is not enough for a rush order that is clearly ordered express for a reason. I don't see how I could trust their product or their warranty going forward so I decided to cancel the order. Buyer beware. My order number was *******118 - UPDATED ANSWER TO Mr Ellis B/s. - As a reviewer said below the customer service is really bad " (I could care less) attitude of the Customer Service rep", outright liars that will say anything to appear correct when in fact they are not. Do not trust companies like this. I can only imagine how they handle warranties... no thank you. Here is a link to my their facebook page where I uploaded the representative conversation and you'll see how this Ellis guy is lying. Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/LaptopScreen/reviews/ In the link you will notice how the representative contacted me initially about this discrepancy and I told her that I was fine with them delivering to my paypal address. The rep replied at around 3pm on the day I ordered that she would shortly provide me with a tracking number. That never happened so I just thought that the order would be processed just fine and of course it was not. The next day about 5pm I contact her and she then proceeds to complete the order and give me a tracking number. If they can ship out as late as 5pm then clearly the rep that handled this forgot to do so the day before as there is a 2hr window of opportunity to send out an express request. Obviously this company employees incompetent people so how am I to trust them? I now get my screens on Amazon. As a professional business owner I replace about 200 screen per year more or less. For $5 more on screen pricing on Amazon I have become a prime member and get free 2day shipping and only pay $5 express and they take the screens back right away with no questions if there are any problems within the warranty period which is less at 1yr but far more trustworthy. I only decided to give this company a chance to make more profit at about $5 less per screen but I learned my lesson.
