I like the website a lot. And the prices are some of the best. Thank you for the free return label. The best book rental website out there is Knetbooks.com
I have not been advised as to if and when this order will ship but I have been charged.
If I do not hear by the end of this week, I will call my credit card company to dispute the charge
Quick and efficient! Always the best experience. Books come in time. The books are also always in great condition. Customer service is fast responding and extremely helpful.
My books came very quickly and they were packaged very well. I was worried about the condition of the books since I am renting but they came like new.
I was looking for this book for a lower price on other websites, but it wasn't easy since this book just came out last year, and the prices were skyrocketing
THESE PEOPLE ARE TRUE SCAM ARTIST. THEY SCAM COLLEGE STUDENTS OUT OF THEIR MONEY AND DON'T DELIVER. THEY CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT. THEN WHEN YOU TRY TO RETURN ITEMS THEY SAY THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN RETURN BOOKS IF YOU HAVE A RETURN LABEL FROM THEM. THEN THEY PRETEND THEY HAVENT GOTTEN THE BOOKS BACK. THEN THEY WANT TO CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOUR CARD UNTIL YOU REPORT YOUR CARD LOST OR STOLEN. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY.
I have not yet received my item, I emailed asking for an update or status and have not received any response. I am still waiting for an update as my student really needs this item.
Received the book in bad condition (I should have taken pictures when I received it). When I returned it they said it was damaged and I had to pay for it. My daughter never put the book in her backpack, it stayed at home and I know there was not any additional damage done before I returned it. They would not give me a price of how much I would be charged but in my account it had the option to buy it for $200. I had a niece that took the same class as my daughter and she hadn't sold her book yet. It has the same IBSN number and is in excellent condition (way better than the one I received). I wanted to purchase her used book to send back for a replacement book instead of paying the $200 to purchase damaged book. They would not accept the replacement book because according to customer service "the authenticity of the book is very important to them". Is this their business practice? Send damaged books out and charge full price for receiving it back in the same poor condition it was sent in? Why would they not accept a replacement book that is the exact same book in better condition than the one I received? Had they accepted my replacement book I may have considered renting from them again (but would definitely take pictures of the book when I received it). I will never rent from them again and would not recommend them to anyone!
I was satisfied with the delivery no extra hoops and hurdles just ordered and straight to my door.

The package arrived in decent fashion. It was suspicious at first, but it contained the textbook I was looking for wrapped around a rubber band.
There was not great communication.
I contacted customer service over 3 times and have not heard back and their delivery time was not very accurate
Wish I could rate a negative. Ordered a book for my brother, which the ordered was cancelled due to a payment discrepancy. However the payment was taken out the same day and we paid for expedited shipping. Yet, we do not have a book, money will not be returned for 3-5 days, and let's just say customer service is horrible. When I finally was able to speak to someone, the gentleman was rude, impatient and even huffed and puffed one the phone. I asked to speak to someone other than him and he said I'd have to call back because he couldn't transfer. I asked to speak to a manager and he said she was already gone. I asked to speak with the billing department and he said they didn't have a phone. I explained that the card information was good however it did not give me the option to update the billing information. He in turn said it was their I just didn't see it. I told him it did not, which lead to him to saying the most lucrative thing I've heard in awhile... Because the card is good that's why the money was taken. Now, my questions are... How does a company process credit card information without verify the address information before taking the money? Why does it take longer to return the money versus taking it? Worst experience ever!
Hi Andrea,
Can you please DM us your order number? I'd be happy to take a further look into this. We're very sorry your experience has resulted in negative feelings and we want to work to resolve the issue.
Thank you,
Kate
Easy and straightforward, no runaround, you get exactly what you order
The shipping timelines are not explained well. My order was cancelled without an explanation after waiting over 2 weeks.
The textbook I rented said right in the product title that it comes with 36 months of SuperSite access. Here's the exact product title from Knetbooks' website: "Vistas 6e Student Edition (Loose-Leaf) + Supersite Plus + WebSAM." After renting it and inquiring about the code I needed to access the Supersite, I was then informed that rented textbooks don't come with the Supersite and I would need to purchase that separately from the publisher. This added another $165 plus tax to the cost. I could have gotten this from my college bookstore for less.
Update: After I posted my initial review, Knetbooks emailed me and said that I could have requested a full refund at any time during the first 25 days of my rental. Funny that they did not mention this option when I did a Chat with them about the missing web code and was trying to get an amicable resolution. They made it seem like I was stuck with the rental and tough luck for me for not reading the contract that says supplementary materials are not included on rentals, (even when the title of the product says they are included). I don't like companies that hide the details in the fine print, and only fake-try-to-make-amends after a negative review. If they want to make amends, they'll refund my money. I doubt that's going to happen.
It took quite a while to receive the book. Three were no shipping updates during the 10 days it took to get the book.
Was told I couldn't cancel my order even though I reached out to them before my order shipped both through their instant messaging service and their email but wasn't replied to until after it had shipped. They then refused to cancel my order and when my book finally arrived it was dirty and greasy and definitely not worth the $5 I spent to rent it. When I finally got access to my return label, I found out that there is a 10% "restocking" fee tacked on AND I have to pay for return shipping. They refuse to help when they mess up and it's not worth the headache to get books from them. RENTER BEWARE
Code didn't work and I had to buy an online code from perason. I purposefully bought this so I could get a working code for my class. Waste of my money.
I am very displeased with Knetbooks. This was the first time that I have used Knetbooks.com services. I only use digital books, and the only reason I purchased the book is because new version have access codes for the digital version. The book was supposed to arrive 1/15/2024, the day before my classes started. When I inquired about where my book was on 1/19/2024, my email was never responded to. The book arrived on 1/26/2024 but with no access codes. When I asked about digital codes, I needed to wait for the chat hours to open after the weekend because last time nobody got back to me on email. This has delayed my ability to get work done significantly. Their representative was supposed to email me back from IT about my order. When I followed up through a chat (2 days after the anticipated time the representative gave me) they provided me with an email that was never sent to me. I shared with the representative a screenshot that I had not received the email on that date nor was it in my spam, but they told me their policy still stands of no access code despite never being notified about it. I am very displeased. I am stranded with no digital book before midterms.

Answer: Infinity, because you will never receive it. And if you do receive it, it comes damaged and then when you try to return your rental that try saying the original damage is your fault and charge you a ridiculous price for a small damage that had already come with it. Or sometimes several pages are missing.
Answer: Hi Tatum, We do allow some highlighting in our rentals but we ask that you dont highlight excessively. If you return the rental back to us with over one-third of the text highlighted, we may have to mark the book as damaged. Highlighting can be distracting for future renters and we may not be able to add an overly-highlighted book back into our inventory. Consider using page flags to mark an important sentence. Flags can help you easily get back to the page you need. Page flags are also small enough that they can be used multiple times on the same page. Plus, they are really easy to remove from the textbook before you send it back at the end of the semester. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
Thank you so much Trevor!
I'd love to send you a thank you for your positive feedback. I
Thank you so much!
