KIWI.COM IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. They completely rip you off and are a huge scam. My flights were all cancelled due to COVID-19 and they not only offered no help, but had the audacity to try to charge for an "assisted refund" when a refund/site credit was guaranteed from the airline itself. I cannot believe this company and its heartlessness. There are hundreds of users who are out thousands of dollars from using this absolutely ridiculous company. Save yourself some trouble and book off the airline itself or some more reputable site. THIS SITE CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

Amid the pandemic, Kiwi has put in minimal effort to assist customers obtain refunds. They offer a few options, but none guarantee you'll be receiving anything significant back. They won't supply the credentials I need to contact the airlines directly to try to solve it myself. They're making it as difficult as they can to get even a decent refund. It has been frustrating contacting them about this issue. They don't appear to care that you may lose a large sum of money if you want to cancel. It would probably have been a better idea to book with the airlines directly, or to have booked with another travel company. I don't suspect Kiwi will receive many flattering reviews. It is in anyone's best interest to look elsewhere when booking flights. When times get tough, Kiwi doesn't truly care about their customers.
The worst company ever, I'll never use it again and I don't advice any one to buy Tickts on their website. I've had a very bad experience and thy let me down. NEVER EVER AGAIN!
Booking through Kiwi has been a terrible experience. I understand the impacts of Covid-19 have been rough but when the airline cancels your flights and are offering customers full refund amounts in vouchers for future travel ($905) but Kiwi is offering a refund total of a WHOPPING $11.26 - it starts to smell a bit fishy (where do they even get that number?). Working with their customer service is difficult to get any answers and they recommend you pay them more money to hopefully get a portion back - but even as their website says, post flight date it wouldnt be likely. A cash refund wouldnt even be necessary if they would just match what the airlines are doing and either relay voucher credit or release the booking information for us customers to manage the cancellation independently and directly with the airlines ourselves. At least that way you would know you arent getting ripped off which is exactly how the rest of the experience has felt.
Needless to say - dont EVER book through Kiwi. Check to see what airlines they are routing your flights through and do yourself a favor and book directly with airlines yourself.
Kiwi.com are a bunch of opportunistic people trying to make money on top of the pandemic. Completely negligent with no concern about patient safety, not adjusting any of their regulations. Will lose a lot of clients, can close their doors.
It would be a -10 if I could. Book flights, then they change the dates to flying out a day before, and return flights gets changed at one of my layovers to the next day. I cancel the flights because I obviously cannot make these dates work. Then they refu, d me $100 out of my $700 tickets. Kiwi can suck it. Don't ever book through them.
I had 3 flights under one booking with KIWI.com for May 2020. Obviously I wasn't going to be travelling anywhere anytime soon. About 4 weeks ago, I get an email from KIWI.com stating that one of my flights under my booking had been cancelled and I need to take immediate action as to what I was to do. The options were INSTANT REFUND, which they advertise to be the fastest way to get your money back and the funds would be transferred to KIWI.COM credits, the other option was to PAY AN ADDITIONAL FEE in order for their customer service agents to reach out to the airlines and ask for a possible refund. I thought that was such a joke, cause isn't that like their job? Why do customers have to pay extra for these people to do their jobs? So I thought that was stupid, so I opted to get the instant refund option. The refund option gave me $54, for the price of the flight (that was cancelled) which I thought made sense when I looked at the final total that I paid ($260), as it was the shortest flight out of the other two booked on the same reservation. So a few weeks pass, and I'm now getting worried because the dates are coming up. So I decided to reach out to KIWI.com to advise that I still needed to figure out what to do about the two remaining flights under my booking. It was then when they told me that I had already cancelled the entire booking and had agreed to a "$54" refund from my $260 original booking. I am beyond upset as I have communicated with them multiple times about this and how all they send me are these automatic responses. I keep asking them for a summary of my refund but THEY WILL NOT SEND It! Just goes to show what a scam this company is! I doubt I'll ever get my money back or a credit of some sort, but this company needs to pay for all the scams they have committed. After reviewing these reviews on here, I know I'm not the first to be scammed and definitely not the last! Shame on you KIWI.com!
I'm appalled at how terrible Kiwi has been with its customers during this covid 19 crisis! I for one am NEVER EVER booking with them and I'm going to tell all my friends and family to do the same and never go near their booking agency which is a total scam! Part of my booking was cancelled and any refunds from the airlines they are keeping for themselves! I've waisted hours on the line on countless phone calls and all they've done is lie and lie and lie and lie! I've lost a good amount of money thanks to their dirty way they do business and steal from us! It's appalling! They will probably go under bc nobody will ever book with them again! It's terrible
I purchased 5 airplane tickets with this company. All flights were with Ryanair. With the coronavirus pandemic, all flights were cancelled by Ryanair.
Kiwi.com told me to request the value from Ryanair which I did and Ryanair returned the value of the tickets. But Ryanair only returned 70% of the value which I paid to kiwi.com because this was the price of the tickets and kiwi.com refused to return the other 30% of the tickets value which was their comission.
This company is a scam, they are not serious.
Firstly I am appalled.
I have had to message them twice and still no answer, bare in mind this is after relentlessly trying to actually speak to a human about my booking. I had called and called since around the 2nd of March when I realised Corona Virus caused issues with my trip. I was then told to call back on the 15th of March of which I had called and called daily until they decided to say that there was prioritising of trips to the next week. So I again waited and called when me trip was getting closer, of which in that time, Indigo airways cancelled their flight.
I was yet again met with, sorry we priortise the flights leaving in 3 days of which I then had to wait again. The three days before my flight was due to leave I received a message saying other flights on my trip had been cancelled. Yet still no answer from their phones. The distress this has caused me at a time when I am away from everyone I love in a country on my own not being able to even get through and get some support from a company I trusted with my plans and money is unreal.
I was then told to open a case of which I HAD TO PAY FOR to make it a "priority" like I wasn't one even though I was getting no answers up to and beyond my flights being due to leave and being on a travel ban from the country they were leaving due to the pandemic we are in.
Now baring all this in mind, on top of this lack of care and service, my colleagues around me are all receiving refunds for their booked holidays because the agencies understood they we are in a world wide pandemic and KIWI simply cannot provide the service we paid for.
I would not recommend KIWI in the slightest, their lack of compassion and availability at a time when their customers needed them the most is concerning and certainly not trust worthy.
I had a flight scheduled from on May 31 w/ two layovers arriving to my destination on June 1. One of the airlines rescheduled my flight which changed the flight times making me miss a layover, so I called to get help from Kiwi.com. After contacting Rachael, Mao, and Christie, they let me know that to manage my booking I only had two options.
First- Ask for a refund and buy a new ticket, but there is no guarantee how much will be refunded. Second- A few alternative flights were available, but I would have to pay an extra 200$.
Summary-I payed Kiwi.com to schedule and manage my flight plans, the airline changed my flight, Kiwi.com puts their hands in the air to do nothing. And I get screwed.
Absolutely the WORST third party air travel agency ever. Wasted a lot of money on a ticket to get home however when it came to my ticket being CHANGED AND CANCELED (Due to covid-19) and it was out of my power to do ANYTHING i didnt get any of my money back. I was stuck in Stockholm, Sweden and STRANDED BECAUSE OF THEM! Especially customer service prioritizing the important customers than the regulars who didnt buy the "upgraded" package.
This company is not worth even one star! They take money from you but provide no support or their so called guarantee if your flight gets cancelled/affected. They dont even inform you about the cancellation, yet when you claim your refund (for which they charge additional 20 Eur! Extra as a fee for assisting with the refund) they dare to write you "no show, no refund"! I havent seen a poorer customer support, never! I am still fighting with thousands of other people to get the money back, dont put yourself into the same situation, you would be mistreated as well in case of any problem! And thousands of people to be in the same position: https://www.facebook.com/groups/**************/
My experience with kiwi.com has been awful. I was in the Azores when Trump banned all flights to the US from Europe except for flights from the UK were allowed. I hastily made a reservation for a flight from London to Boston using kiwi.com. Thirty minutes later I found out Americans were excluded from the travel ban I canceled my flight on kiwi.com. Because I booked with a saver ticket I got a 10 euro credit on an $1100 flight. I tried to call for several days but was put on hold for numerous hours until I finally gave up. I then disputed the charge with my bank. My bank said I had to pay the amount because of the terms and conditions of kiwi.com even though in the US I would get a full refund because I canceled within 24 hours of making the reservation regardless of the type of ticket. After I heard from my bank I contacted kiwi.com and have spoken with several people including supervisors and they will not refund any more money to me. Today one agent I spoke with said I should have called right when I canceled and I told I did and how I was on hold for hours. She then had the nerve to tell me they were short resources to handle the call volume. She also agreed it wasn't fair but that is their company policy and that travel agents aren't subject to the refund policy I described which isn't true. She suggested I hire a lawyer. She hung up on me when I told her she and her company are just awful. I believe in karma so kiwi.com and the agents I spoke with will get their due as neither did the right thing. I am just a little person with no power so I cannot do much other than to tell my social network to never use kiwi.com an awful company with no regard for people.
Where do I start? I booked flights to get to Greenland. The last flight got canceled and I couldn't get to my final destination. Tried calling them 50 times. Nothing. No answer to emails... They offered me an instant $270 credit voucher for a trip I paid $1200 for. What a joke. If you want to kiss your money good-bye book through kiwi.com. The biggest scammers in the travel industry. Luckily we get government support to go against operators like these people. Stay away from these fraudsters!
Worst company ever! They will never help you get anything done if you ever run into a problem.
This company is a scam, their customer service is useless, it will take you months and months of hard work to have some sort of coverage or even a dollar back, don't ever by from them please!
I booked a flight to Seoul with Kiwi, on Turkish Airlines: The carrier has made it 110% clear that due to the Coronavirus they allow 1 free change of ticket. Kiwi.com refused to honour this, seeking to charge me 402 Euros. I will never use Kiwi.com again; they are totally unregulated outside of the Czech Republic, and unaccountable in real terms.
Whilst I appreciate it's a challenging time, customer service staff shouldn't be rude. Charging me money to get a refund is an additional kick in the teeth. Also I contacted the airline myself and they confirmed that a refund had be made so hiding behind a lie of waiting for them to pay out shows that you are not an honest company. Shame on you.
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.
Answer: I am sorry you are going through this, I checked but can't seem to find a record of it either
Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.
Answer: There is no doubt that Kiwi.com is a scam. If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.
Answer: Because people don't know and they offer cheap flights.
Answer: Kiwi.com are crooks and charlatans. Avoid them. Dispute the charges with your bank if you can, and then spend 30 minutes online piling bad reviews till they are out of business.
Answer: Booking service... and a bad one on the market. Outrageous and not responsable to their customers
Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
