The flight tickets I purchased through Kiwi.com were cancelled by the airlines when COVID first hit. I've been chasing my refund even since... it's been more than two years. The latest advise I received from Kiwi.com was that one (out of two) airlines refunded the money but not the other. I asked kiwi.com to give me the portion that has been refunded, but Kiwi.com refused saying that their policy doesn't allow partial refund. So I read their policy and found nothing in there to back up their story. I've been backwards and forwards with them for over two years and they keep changing their story and refuse to refund my money. So, in summary they have stolen my money. Terrible! Do no use Kiwi.com, they are thieves.
For Ryanair they hide the email address used to make the booking, so you can't check in with Ryanair yourself. For Wizzair they hide the PNR altogether. This means you don't even know if the flight has been booked. There's no proof of the flight booking at all. They do this so that any changes must be made through them and they charge a premium for this. Unfortunately this makes me less likely to book with them. I usually like OTAs but I've always had the ability to check in and manage the booking myself after booking, but I feel like Kiwi is holding our bookings ransom.
It would be a -10 if I could. Book flights, then they change the dates to flying out a day before, and return flights gets changed at one of my layovers to the next day. I cancel the flights because I obviously cannot make these dates work. Then they refu, d me $100 out of my $700 tickets. Kiwi can suck it. Don't ever book through them.
5 days before departure, they said the flight was canceled. But I bought a ticket for the same flight from the carrier and it is valid! They just don't buy tickets from carriers, steal your money, and then cheat that flights are canceled!
Everyone, DON'T BOOK here. Avoid this site like the plague. I paid and they "confirmed" my ticket. I show up to the airport the day of my flight and the check in agent said my reservation was booked but that kiwi didn't issue me a ticket. I called kiwi from the airport and they kept giving me a PNR code which is a reservation code, not the actual ticket number...because they didn't issue a ticket. They booked a reservation for me but not issue me a ticket which is what they're suppose to do.I was stressed beyond relief and had to fly out for a funeral. I was left no choice but to book a ticket at the airport 4 times the price so I could leave. Kiwi refuses to issue me a refund. They stole my money. The agent at the airport did mention kiwi is the worse,it's a scam and has seen many situations like mine. AVOID Kiwi. I will be escalating my refund and talking to my bank to report this fraud
This company has been holding my refund since 2/20/21 when they were reimbursed by the airlines directly. It's impossible to reach the customer service (purposefully). Not sure how this company is still allowed to operate legally when they outright STEAL people's money. Under no circumstance should you EVER book anything with them, despite how cheap it may be. I promise you they'll end up screwing you in the end and it'll just cost you more. Look at all these terrible reviews, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Our flight was cancelled- completely out of our control. Kiwi rebooked us for a flight two days later. We didn't confirm this because we needed to find an earlier flight back home to our kids. They refused to refund because they "gave us an alternative flight" which if we decided not to use, was on us. So where do you draw the line with how far out you book someone and they have any say over their flight? We went in circles over the phone- they wouldn't budge. A $600 lesson
I paid for a flight to Tenerife in Jan 2022, to fly on May 2022. Today they informed me my flight had been brought forward by 2 days! My options are to take the new flight or I could still fly in the original date but I would have to pay an additional £400+ and also it would now take 15 hours for a 4 hour flight as I would have 2 stops on the way. OR I could have a refund which may not be the full amount and could take months to receive it! I have been waiting for 2 years to take this trip and now I am £100's out of pocket as I don't have the money to rebook flights and I cannot get a refund on my accommodation. Absolutely disgusting service. I will never use Kiwi again. I would rate a minus if that was possible.
Absolutely horrible. Here is my experience:
- Trip from Fort Lauderdale to Tortola going through San Juan, so 2 flights
- First flight: depart from Fort Lauderdale at 9.57 on 6th September 2020 and arrives at San Juan at 12.42 on 6th September 2020
- Second flight: depart from San Juan at 10.30 on 6th September 2020 and arrive at: Tortola at 11.15 on 6th September 2020
You can see the second flight departs before the first one arrives, so is physically impossible to do (departing at 10.30 while the previous flight arrives at 12.42)
I explained it many times to the support but I didn't get my refund in the end, after more then a year of waiting. But it was clearly an error of the booking system
The trip schedule was originally ok, it changed in a later stage when I already made the payment, but why do I have to loose money for an error of the Kiwi.com booking system!?
Has anyone started a lawsuit against them yet? I'm stuck in Darwin, can't get a flight can't get my money back and these clowns want me to pay more money to get some of my money back in 3 months. I only have a PDF, no Jpeg, but I have the proof.
The worst SCAMMERS! They took $1000 from me and the airline tells me no ticket is available for me because Kiwi hasn't forwarded my money to them. Now I'm waiting for a refund but nobody ever responds. I'm going to file a lawsuit against them.
I had a trip planned for july 2020, which was cancelled by the carrier in June 2020. On June 30th 2020 I asked for a refund from Kiwi.com and althrough they hav emultiple times told me that the carrier already send them the money for my refund, they haven't sent it to me. There support is horrible and they just keep saying that I need patience. But it has been 10 months and this is simply not good enough. No way I am ever using kiwi.com again.
I'm appalled at how terrible Kiwi has been with its customers during this covid 19 crisis! I for one am NEVER EVER booking with them and I'm going to tell all my friends and family to do the same and never go near their booking agency which is a total scam! Part of my booking was cancelled and any refunds from the airlines they are keeping for themselves! I've waisted hours on the line on countless phone calls and all they've done is lie and lie and lie and lie! I've lost a good amount of money thanks to their dirty way they do business and steal from us! It's appalling! They will probably go under bc nobody will ever book with them again! It's terrible
Honestly the worst.
I booked a flight with Kiwi, and when I went to check out their site or my phone had an issue and failed to load. I assumed that the booking failed. I promptly rebooked with another company.
Shortly thereafter Kiwi sent me an e-mail confirming the flight. I tried to cancel, but it was too late. After notifying the company they waited a month to say they couldn't refund.
Painful lesson. Don't trust these BS flight booking sights. Learn from my mistake. Stay away!
One of my worst experiences ever with this kind of travel "agency" or "platform". I had to spend more than 500€ (extra) for my trip because their incompetency and their always referred "policy" and "terms", which are the excuses when they are unable to solve the easiest issue ever. They let you down at the airport and unhelpful. Will never go through this platform and would advice to everyone who has the intention to do so to drop immediately their thoughts. They are unable to solve NOTHING.
I found out that my wife was not checked in by Kiwi.com at the airport with an over cost of 220 $. Amazing! Before I had to buy another ticket because of an dob error (now I doubt if it was mine) with a cost over 400€. Great!
If I could give negative stars I would. A total scam of a company. Took me for up to $2,000. I bought tickets for flights that were immediately canceled. The option they gave me was to fly from California to Madrid on 4 different flights that took over 30 hours of travel and cost $900 more. I had to cancel and since then (May 2021) until now (December 2021) I haven't seen a penny. They keep saying they are backed up and working on the refund with the carrier. They are waiting for me to give up and go away. Not going to happen. My next step is to file a complaint with the Department of Transportation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I paid ~600$ for a ticket from Bankok to Tokyo, but ANA canceled my flight. But the amount of refund received is $ 10. I think that this website Posting flights that are not available. And robbed money from victims like us. Normally email to contact is one of the simplest options, but Kiwi also doesn't offer customers to complain. So obviously this is a rogue service. I don't expect anyone cheated like us
Not the first bad experience with kiwi.com but definitely the worst. Couldnt check me in due to some glitch and was told to check in at the airport before the flight. After arriving I was told no reservation made in my name and I have to pay to secure last few seats and try to get the refund. When finally got to speak to customer service to make a complaint they emailed me the name and email that was made to do the booking and they claimed it I had it all along. AVOID!
I had the worst experience, this is the first time I booked through kiwi, the connecting flight have communications, I was about to miss my connected flights. Forget about the luggage I have to pay for both the airlines for my luggage separately. The airlines don't take any responsibility if you miss the other flight or not.
And you have to get boarding for at the airport again where u landed.

I have bought flights via kiwi when they were cheap. Kiwi did not pay for the flights at the time I made my booking and 4 days later they are sending me a message that the flights gone up and now I have to pay the difference for the new ticket prices! Why was this not processed when I made the booking? Kiwi should be paying the difference! Is this going to continue until ticket prices are ridiculous and I'll have to continue to pay the difference? Did I sign up for alert system instead? NOT RELIABLE. Obviously they are unreachable to explain this.
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.

Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.

If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.

Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
