I purchased an international flight with 1 stop.
30 days before the flight, the first flight was re-scheduled, landing 27 min before the next take off, so impossible to catch it and I requested a refund.
Although it was 30 days before the flight and they have an insurance, I was only refunded 100$ out of 500$. Shame on Kiwi.com!
Cheeky way of making easy money!
I've been flying my whole life and thought I'd book through kiwi.com for a cheap flights from Spain to New Zealand. What a mistake. No food covered anywhere, but this was not clear on the booking information. Bags couldn't be checked through, so had to buy visas and exit 3 times, for 2 of us. Weight limits were not made clear, and ranged from 40 to 15kg per person. Again, this was not clear on the booking information. With the money spent in extra baggage fees and food in airports, it's not even remotely worth it. The check in guy in Australia confirmed that he only has problems with people booking from kiwi.com. Stay away and spend more elsewhere, as you'll end up paying less in the end anyway.
I wish I could give you zero stars, because that's what you deserve.
One of our connecting flights was canceled by Kiwi, and we were given the option to either rebook (for an additional fee of $200+) or receive a refund (which they say could take 6 weeks to 3 months and won't likely include the full amount). In addition, they said that we would have to pay again for the $230 worth of baggage that we had added (even though we haven't even boarded any of the flights).
If you like to gamble and lose your money, this is a great site to use. Otherwise, stay far, far away!
P.S. Their customer service sucks. You can't even reach them by phone, even if you pay for the service package.
Fraudulent Booking website amd biggest thieves in the market. My biggest mistake was to not read reviews about them before booking. If I had then wouldn't have lost my hard earned money. I had to wait for 7 months for refund for The flight which was cancelled by carrier 15 days before departure. And that too 158 dhs received out of 603 dhs paid for booking. Reason? Only this much received from carrier. Another bizarre reason? Because I made a rebooking for one way ticket(In their dreams). And all of these claims without any evidence or document. They say and you are supposed to believe it.
It's been almost 2 years and I still haven't gotten a refund for a flight that was canceled by the airlines (not me), due to covid! I will never book through this company again and I'm advising you not to either! There's also no customer service contact number.
I would not recommend kiwi.com to anyone, its just like scamming people and when customer have issues such as cancellation or change flight they wont help. They have all people from india who doesn't know how to do a job even. I have canceled my flight with in 3 hour after booked but never got refunded even though their website says protects from cancellations.
I used Kiwi.com before and didn't have any problem. This time though, I booked a flight from Cairo to Hurghada. Received the online ticket and a confirmation email of the flights yet in the airport they did not have our passenger details. Another family of five that booked with them had the same problem. I tried to call them but their 'customer service' robot did not recognize my booking number so it didn't let me go to the next step. In the end we had to pay for the trip twice. Customer service is not existent. They asked us to wait 90 days for the refund for services obviously not given. I am going to initiate a chargeback on the credit card and will never use this travel agent again...ever.
Kiwi.com are a sham, they steal people's money. I tried to online check in on kiwi.com 16 hours before my flight, and the check in had already closed. I was made to pay £64 at the airport to check in for a flight for two passengers- this is outrageous. I was not even told that I would have to check in online by a certain time or else I would be charged, and the time I tried to check in was very reasonable. Their customer service is non-existent, there is no one to contact for a refund or complaint. Do not book with Kiwi.com.
You are the worst. My tear today will hunt and fall that stupid company of yours. I cried today. After paying $426 with a fee said to be able to cancel and make changes, you said nothing could be done and the customer care lady was so rude and don't have human empathy. I guess she gets paid low and is miserable. USE THEM IF YOU WANT TO CRY!
Complete 100% Theives - I really recommend you not to order anything from them. They charged us around $100 more than the ticket costs just because they had a random technical issue. Their website and app promised a refund but then to ouur shock they charged full + extra. Total scam that they seem to do every once in a while.
The promoted rates are half of the final cost. If you need to change you will have to pay for seats and baggage a second time. If you need to change flights might not be available at all before your cut off time. You are better off and will save more money buying tickets directly from the airline. Kiwi. Com is a joke and you will likely lose your money or pay way more in the long run. DO NOT USE KIWI.COM.
Horrible service, my flights got cancelled (fair enough to due covid), however their Kiwi guarantee is absolute BS, they just refuse to help you with any of their promises like rebooking flights, or covering hotel and food costs which is the only reason I booked with them.
They'll just flat out lie to you and avoid you until you go away. Just put your money in a pile and burn it instead, would be better value.
It is a waste of your money and time, If you search ticket, it is a little bit cheaper, but the price for luggage is double the price from another website. If you need help, there is no phone number, and nobody responds to Emails. Good luck
Horrible customer service! I booked two tickets on Kiwi.com for my son and his friend. BWI - SNN, DUB-BWI. Upon arriving at BWI, they were denied boarding because one of the cities they were connecting through (KEF), required a passport that didn't expire within 90 days, even though their final destination had no such requirement. Kiwi did not disseminate that information to us prior to buying the ticket. We had to buy two last minute tickets, at great expense to me. Kiwi doesn't have a customer service phone number, so I emailed them, requesting a refund. They never responded, but did credit my American Express only $169 of the $1,769 for the tickets. In addition I had to spend $2,300 for the new, last minute tickets. They won't respond to American Express either. I will never use their service again and will continue to review them poorly on every travel website that I can find.
I do not recommend this company. They just want to milk you for your money. Got my flight canceled two times, impossible to get someone on the phone, travel alternatives are not great. Horrible customer service, all they do is find lousy excuses. I paid for the priority refund and after 3 mounths still got nothing back. Is there any way to fill a complaint against them?
Booked a flight for a friend London to Chicago. Less than 24 hours before flight, received an email force canceling only the bags for the flight and crediting me 178 dollars. Was given instructions to book directly with the airline. Friend had already spent 300 dollars to get to the airport area. Showed up to the airport and the airline was charging 2,000 dollars. Kiwi refused to cancel or change ticket. Lost 641 dollars. Scam company! Stay away!
I bought a ticket Pattaya-Dubai-Tel Aviv-Vilnius.
I wasn't allowed on board on a flight Dubai-Tel Aviv because the layover was too short (Kiwi sold bundles, connected tickets, so I trusted that they know regulations).
Long story short, I spent 10hours stuck in Dubai, they sent me to Warsaw instead of Lithuania. I then had to buy a ticket from Warsaw to Vilnius at my own expense. You know what was Kiwi response? You guessed it - we cannot control carriers. :) even though they sell tickets and do not check layover times and regulations for them.
Customer support is robotic, mechanic, zero empathy, denied everything, didn't take any responsibility, left me alone solving my problems trying to return home, stuck in airport. At the end, all I asked was at least to refund money for that extra ticket I had to buy from Warsaw to Vilnius. Nope. Not gonna happen. :) Never again I will use this broker.
Absolute dog $#*! of a company. Booked through them for a trip to Albania. They overbooked me and got lucky to be on standby to make my flight. Then, on return, my flight was delayed over 4 hours so I was entitled to my 250 Euro compensation per EU law. However, Kiwi refused to provide me the booking info to apply for it after about 50 back and forth emails, some of which were lies saying I don't qualify for it, which wasn't true. This is literally the worst service I've had in my entire life and I'd rather walk to my destination than book through this flaming dumpster of a company. AVOID!
I booked flights on Kiwi and will never do it again as they changed departure date and then wouldn't let me rebook original date without paying for new tickets or a change fee that was higher than booking directly with the airline a new ticket. Crazy! Still waiting for a refund!
Dont do it. Just dont Let this company go bankrupt its bad really bad. Look at all the reviews and just say to yourself. Do i want to lose money to and unreliable platform. I lost over 230$. They credit back 15$
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.
Answer: I am sorry you are going through this, I checked but can't seem to find a record of it either
Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.
Answer: There is no doubt that Kiwi.com is a scam. If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.
Answer: Because people don't know and they offer cheap flights.
Answer: Kiwi.com are crooks and charlatans. Avoid them. Dispute the charges with your bank if you can, and then spend 30 minutes online piling bad reviews till they are out of business.
Answer: Booking service... and a bad one on the market. Outrageous and not responsable to their customers
Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
