In these past 2 years, kijiji has grown worse with scam calls, fake ads, and illegal things for sale. It's being used to piggy back and create hidden jobs where people embezzel massive $ for things like reptile breeding, creation kits, rebuy and resell people getting free things for resale all kinds of buisness taking advantage of a free advertisement and to undercut others kijiji should have a buisness side for stores and not let things like donation stores be able to push what they have for sale on it. There's alot gone wrong with what is supposs to be a yard sale site to the public. 95% of all conversations end in no transaction, in lies from your counter part and not showing up or wasting your time. There needs to be a review system for these type of users, I've learned to not give my address or meet location until they are on route now and demand down payment for anything to be picked up longer then 12 - 24 hours due to the immense waste people leave by using this site. I've also purchased things where the user lies and doesn't message back Sells you bad stuff and high tails it with your money. And another situation I'll never forget of a user showing up grabbing the stuff and running out the door. *called the police guy used fake e mail ip addresses matched a library over 2 hours drive away and the culprit never caught* 4 out of 10 times its a bad experience on here and this site needs alot more security features and more defining sections to stop salvation army from posting their donations for sale and undercut others.

After all these years they cant even allow decent photos that go full screen even still, get with the times

He is an employee of a selling platform that he has used to build his collection of transformers. I am not sure he understands it is simply the threat that matters not the circumstances under which it was made - by a buyer who could simply not tolerate "no" for an answer. I'm not sure Kijiji cares to understand since it chooses to ignore "evidence" that is relevant even if not recorded on its msg hub, it is their survival as a private for profit business that is apparently what concerns management, not mine as a senior on a fixed income simply trying to "earn a little extra income" to help cover the ever increasing costs of living with no assistance.
This customer suggested I had no real interest in selling. He required that if I wanted to sell to him I would have to contact him using apparently an Apple iPhone - clearly a ridiculously unreasonable expectation - how would I have access to this type of device if I do not use Apple products/technology. Why not just communicate through the Kijiji message hub. You allow him to threaten harm to an individual using this platform as long it does not pose a threat to the life of a business. Thank you for your time and attention. Our listings will remain active - more familiar now with your security system and will no longer communicate with buyers outside of your selling platform. It is also unfortunate that those who file a legitimate complaint are left in the dark about what your decisions are concerning the resolution of a dispute. At any rate, this type of buyer, if trolling is his intention as it clearly was, is tech savvy enough to use a different device and user name to restart an account.even if you block him.
This is the message left on the Kijiji msg hub by the buyer "I will write a review, this has been one of the worst experiences trying to buy something, your incompetence and desire to even sell, or fit the buyers needs needs more work, you both may be retired, it doesn't matter. "
This how he responded to this msg sent to him through email "thanks for your interest - but the lot is sold as a lot as described - we will list those that are not already listed on Kijiji for those who do not only want to collect the rarer of the cards but those who are interested in building their decks to play the game I am aware of approximately 50 cards that have the silver lettering but are not holographic or stand out in any special way. We are just interested in downsizing our huge collection of collectibles. We are no longer in business and not willing to spend the type of time required to satisfy the special needs of collectors/dealers." Retired from the business after more than 40 years. Any wonder why?

Also some of costumers are very cheap and they want something for free even new item for sale they offer less then 1/4 Quarter of current price in store be fair commmmm
And If you want the Saler to reply to you don't low ball fair price be ok Kjij still the best yes its hard to satisfy every one and if you don't like kjiji go some where else no one force you...

Kijiji has fallen to the very bottom scum when it comes to customer service (nonexistent to be exact) and your private information.
Their help desk agents are unprofessional, unhelpful, condescending and plain rude. They remove your legit ads arbitrarily; when you ask them why, their answer is that it's their 'internal policy' which is whatever they say as there's nothing mentioned in their terms and conditions:

As you can see Evil Grant believes his words are law and he's above the law himself.

Because I questioned his action, he then locked down my account, ie I can no longer edit or delete my ads, respond to other ads or be contacted by other kijiji users, or remove my account altogether. It's a direct violation of Canadian privacy act - the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). I encourage all kijiji customers exercise their rights to privacy and proper use and protection of personal information by complaining to The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) at https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/report-a-concern/file-a-formal-privacy-complaint/file-a-complaint-about-a-business/file-a-complaint-under-pipeda/

What a terrible website to try to sell anything through! Ads don't post. Support non-existent. Forget it!
