Kijiji

Every two days I get a message from people who obviously work for Kijiji asking 'Is this still available?'. I added to the top of my ad 'if ad is active, item is available' and they still contact me. I have had to cancel my ads at times due to the frequency of their overbearing contact.

I had an E motorcycle posted and received a couple of contacts one was called Desmond I think, and I forget the other guy. After 10 email exchanges and low ball offers they stopped and co-incidentally the e motorcycle was stolen. ( between Jan 10th and 17th) Fortunately we have video surveillance.
I'm not saying that Desmond or whatever the guys name was, is the thief. Just that people who pretend to be buyers and then get your address, might not be real buyers.

The errors, problems, worse chat app ever, intentional games they play, lack of support and customer service is completely unacceptable especially when you consider what they charge for ads. There are far better advertising sites for less money, and in many cases free that have way more exposure. Kijiji is on the way out and they deserve it. Site was created by kids.

Horrible, rude customer service. Racist targetting of users. Poorly managed and operated. I just requested that they delete their useless account and delete all my information. Craigslist is so much better than kijiji. And that's saying something. Kijiji is going to crash soon.

Been using Kijiji for 11 years. Suddenly, I get a message that I have been banned from the service for violation of their policies with no details or information of what I am alleged to have done. I have no idea what they are referring to. Messages to their so called "customer service" go unanswered.
So now my household is banned from Kijiji because they are obviously blocking my IP address.
Very angry and disappointed to say the least.

Paid for a monthy top up. $152 + hst. I dont know why it was so high. After i realized i deleted the add and tried to ask for partial refund. It was the most terrible service ever. The agent said nothing can be done and exited the chat before I could say anything. I reentered the chat, got the same person and he did the same.

Advice: dont use any paid promotions on kijiji. They are not refundable even if you use it for 3 days out of 30. Terrible customer service. I used kijiji before without ads and it was perfectly fine. Used ads 1 time, and received a bad experience. I will try to stay away from this website.

No amount of flagging or complaining to help desk is going to fix kijiji. Their ads are not cheap & there is little enforcement of competing businesses posting free ads. The help desk is horrible and their lack of experience shows when it comes to member satisfaction. FB marketplace is a more pleasant experience

Avoid Kijiji for Paid Ads - Wasted Money!

I'm disappointed with Kijiji's paid ads. I spent money, but my ad got only six views in weeks. It didn't work as promised, and I feel like I wasted my money. Don't use it for paid ads!

Kijiji is old news. It seems glitchy. I have been receiving a lot of sales leads for a listing that was deleted ages ago. Kijiji support is non-existent. Close up shop, Kijiji. FB Marketplace is WAY better!

The update or upgrade of the app is terrible. You can no longer search in a category. If you're in category and you do a search it defaults back to searching the entire group of listings. Also instead of the old way of going to a particular category, you now get everything and are forced to then try and select the category you're after. Much more time consuming and backwards. The notifications now are more difficult to delete…
There are so many problems now they've created with their upgrade it's stupid.

See my ad which contains the word, stairlift. Then see my second screen grab with a kijiji search for the same word, stairlift. The search did not list my ad, which has been there for months. In the meantime, the site keeps pestering me to upgrade my ad. Scammer site.

Do not support this woke company, I was trying to advertise a carbon fiber cleaning that has many purposes and because they think it is completely a firearm related product, they immediately delete the post after being active.

I have been posting items on Kijiji for almost a decade. Over the last year or so it has been really bad. I now receive 80% replies that are scammers, trying to send me cheques from New York, Toronto, Vancouver and on and on. I have even had replies saying sorry my accountant made a mistake and sent you a cheque for $4500. 00 (when the item was $1500. 00) and to give them my home address so some one can pick up the item and the remaining $2000. 00. I now receive many replies with the so-called buyer wanting my personal email. Kijiji just keeps getting worse.

I have been trying to post ads onto the site. They get listed momentarily and then disappear. This is regardless of whether you have made payment or not. If you are able to reach someone on customer care through chat, they are always unwilling to engage. They dismiss you so quick and ask you to join another platform. Please note I made sure I followed all the guidelines when posting my ads. Kijiji is a online ads place where people are allowed to post their products for sale.

Kijiji's ad structure is such that only complete loons use the site. As a result, the sellers are all rude and you'll be flooded with emails of people wanting something for nothing if you are a seller, because Kijiji offers no seller or buyer rating system. Terrible beyond measure in every respect.
