I wasn't sure if I needed to go to the emergency vet or my regular vet, if either.
I was advised to take her to urgent care for tests, imaging, fluids, etc. and to update him on the appointment. I really appreciated that he cared enough to know how the appointment went.
After talking to the vet here, and having labs and imaging done, it was determined that it was likely acorns from the yard causing her GI upset. I didn't know they would make her so sick.
She did indeed need fluids to combat dehydration and some medication.
I'm very relieved that she is going to be okay.

The doctor was great, the assistant asked all the right questions. The problem is before I began this. I asked if I could get a doctors note. At the end, I asked for a doctors note and was told I could not get one. So this entire experience was invalid.

The cord had pulled loose (or broken) where it entered the vacuum. My 11 year old cocker..., Charlie's harness popped open and he went on a run in the woods 5:30-10:30PM night before last. Right before he came in, he ran by the door full speed. Since then, doesn't want to move, urinated once, no poops, 1 small meal soft food, only one good drink. I carried him outside 5 times, he struggled to walk back in. Alert watching birds for hours. No wincing on examination. Did he just overdo it? Or do I need to take him to the ER now at 6:30am? I was advised to give him a couple of baby aspirin with food and see his regular vet ASAP. I'll call soon as the office is open. It was worth the $65.00 to put my heart at ease. My little buddy means the world to me!
