While swapping out my stock radio with a replacement, I accidentally made contact with a circuit board in the stereo faceplate. This short caused catastrophic electrical failure in every way imaginable. No power steering, gear shifter locked in park, transmission overheating, ABS light, brake light, airbag light, engine light, everything. The car was rendered inoperable. The radio worked great, though! Sigh. Anyway, Johnc called me and walked me through a check of some fuses behind the dashboard on the driver side. Tight space, hard to access, but he instructed me to focus on a specific 7.5 amp fuse, which I found, and much to my surprise, it was fried. First fuse I ever checked in a car my whole life that was actually fried. At John's direction, I replaced the fuse with a spare 10 amp that I had and all functions of the vehicle were immediately restored. I live about 40 miles from the nearest Mitsubishi dealership, so this fix over the phone likely saved me a thousand dollars at a minimum! Mind blown. Best experience I have ever had with troubleshooting over the phone. I highly recommend a call to Just Answer before taking your car anywhere if you are mechanically inclined enough to follow some relatively simple instructions. 5000 stars for Just Answer!

Answer: I got scammed last year for just over $50k on what I thought was a legit investment site. Everything looked real — I even withdrew a small amount at first — then one day my account was “under review” and the site vanished. I reported it to the FTC and pretty much gave up hope. Months later, someone who saw my complaint told me to email cyberfundsrecovery12@ gmail. Com. I was super skeptical (once bitten, twice shy), but they actually knew exactly how these scams work. It took about 3 months of paperwork, verifications, and bank back-and-forth, but I got a big chunk of my money back. Not all of it, but way more than I thought I’d ever see again. If you’ve been scammed, don’t give up — there are people who can help, but be careful who you trust.
