Thanksgiving eve my Standard Poodle started coughing and throwing up white foam. Of course no vets are open. Found this web site and talked to the vet. He was able to confirm that my poodle had kennel cough.
He had been boarded and probably got the virus there.
He recommended a cough syrup to give him, which really helped.
Taking him to my local veterinarian when they open on Friday.

The doctor suggested his canned food without hard kibble with a tsp. Of dry laxative mixed with wet food. Should resolve in a few days.
