I don't recommend using Josten's! They were very rude and weren't very helpful when I tried to ask questions, specifically the representative that visited my school.
So, I was very excited to finally graduate with a college degree since I am classified as a senior adult. I wanted a nice souvenir to commemorate this milestone in my life so I decided to splurge and purchase a class bracelet (rather than a ring). One: yes the world seemed to have stopped for March and April and even some of May so the production line was down yet no-one informed me of this so I waited and waited for it to arrive. I finally called and that's when I learned that the production line was reopening and they were running behind and it would still be a few weeks. That entire phone conversation took about 1 hour with wait time and explanation time. Two: my bracelet finally arrived and I was so extremely disappointed as the lettering for the college could not be distinguished from the base of the charm. I called and I kid you not, I actually waited on hold for one and a half hours before someone ever connected with me! I spoke with the customer service representative who took my information and explained the refund policy and then all of a sudden he was no longer on the line! One would think that he would have called me back as our conversation was not yet completed and I was awaiting to be connected with the warranty department. Overall ~ it's been a very frustrating experience with Josten and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody; especially at those prices! Buyer beware.
High school alumni here. During my sophomore and senior years, Jostens sent a representative to my school to talk about class rings and graduation gowns/announcements. The representatives never brought enough order forms, said the main office at the school would have more the following day, and never delivered their promises. The representative also said we could not order the caps and gowns ala cart, and had to buy a bundle that included shirts and hoodies for $75. He became impatient with students when they asked what to do if they did not want the bundle, and lost his temper.
And then there were the yearbooks.
First two years of high school were great in terms of receiving yearbooks on time and in an orderly fashion. Then in my junior year, I ordered a yearbook, and they had no proof that I ordered one, so the school prevented me from getting a yearbook that I spent $90 on. Senior year, the yearbooks came on our last day of school.
Oh, and their program Harbor TV is bad. Just saying.
The company says you can order online, by phone or in person. The only real option is to order in person with their no notice sales rep who may let you know a couple days in advance. I called from overseas while deployed trying to order for my daughter and was told I could order online. Tne website is broken and every time you choose an option it circles back to the home page. I called the sales rep number and got an automated system telling me to order online. The in person visit to the school was while my daughter was playing in high school softball districts on the other side of the state. When i finally got a person, I was told to have her send her order package with a friend. She was already on the other side of the state when i finally got a person. The second email I sent asking someone to call me so I can place an order was responded to with the same number I have called 3 times with no help. I have asked 3 times now in email when they will be returning to the school, as this appears to be the only real way to order from this company, with no answer.
It is ridiculous that because they have a monopoly on this market we are forced to deal with this level of customer care. I wouldn't even care if they are rude at this point if i could just place an order as they are the only ones who know what cap and gown combo they need.
Please note I already emailed and explained previously that I am deployment and did not have access to the package he sent to the school.
The senior clothes were terrible quality! $60 for a sweatshirt that looks like it's from the dollar tree! It's TERRIBLE quality! I regret purchasing anything from them!
So Jostens came to Monroe Central in woodsfield, Oh for are graduation packages! Brad Held was the sales Rep, Brad offered a Swiss Hills golden ticket! It was one of the packages they offered! So my son brought it home with the other offers as well! We decided to buy the golden ticket! Its going to be 333.40 because by put 80 dollars down You got a discount and save 140.00! So I sent Krystain back to
Swiss Hills with a 100 check for my deposit! Well I wish I would've never ordered anything but a cap and gown because they charge me $418.43 for this package! I didn't even receive the scarf that was included in the package! I have contacted Jostens multiple times they want nothing to do with resolving the problem they just keep telling me to contact the rep well I have he's the one that stole my money and didn't give me all my order! So basically they charged me $418.43 for a package that was three 333.18 and didn't give me a scarf and they charge me extra for a Shepard shirt that was included in the package and no matter how you do the math their short money whether they charge me for the extra shirt or not! Known one Can explain to me where my money went! I wouldn't recommend Jostens for a damn thing they are the worst company, I've ever dealt with in my life! They won't even contact me back anymore so disappointed in them very sad that my son on his senior year had this experienced! It's supposed to be a spectacular memory! I have every piece of paperwork to prove that Jostens rip me off! Im not the only one! I know other parents That's got charge the same thing for the same package!
Jostens contracts with schools to extort ridiculous $ for every item associated with graduation. Then the school makes it mandatory to require new cap and gown every year by changing little things. Guess what? Your school gets a piece of that pie back from Jostens. Hold the schools accountable for the outrageous thievery they are perpetrating with their partner in crime, Jostens. We HAD to purchase from Jostens and the minimum cost for just the gown was over $50 after all the junk fees (delivery of 20 plus to pick it up myself from the SCHOOL. So they made an extra 1000 just on my daughter's class 'delivery' fees.)
My daughter's class ring is a joke. I spent almost 600 and she spent forever designing what looked like a beautiful, unique ring on their website. Just got it today, months later, and it looks like a bubble gum machine prize. Seriously. It looks like they farmed the work out to Temu, complete with blurry engraving, uneven fonts, the most CHEAPA*S stones that are nothing like they picture. Cracked, cloudy, just don't have words for how cheap it looks. I am disgusted that this is being foisted off on graduates, who get these as symbols of the hard work and perseverance they put in to earn a diploma. And I am furious at the thought of the hardworking families who make genuine sacrifices to pay these outrageous prices only to be handed this unbelievable garbage. Shame on Jostens; Shame on the schools who conspire to peddle this crap!DO NOT waste your money. Have a jeweler make/engrave something quality that does justice to your child's accomplishments.
I ordered my daughter's graduation package online because I thought it would be easier. If I had known that it would have made my life infinitely harder, I would have just ordered with the rest of the parents at the school. First of all, they marked that I had received a frame that was a part of my package that I did not get nor did my daughter get as she was told everything would come in the spring. It is now May and her graduation is in about two weeks. She is missing tassels (which I would have loved to have for her senior pictures but they didn't get them to me on time) and her diploma frame. I spoke to my representative and he assured me that it would be delivered as soon as possible. As I was tracking the package that was only hours away from being delivered, it suddenly said returning instead of out for delivery. Apparently the package was damaged in delivery as was returned to the sender(Josten's) without even notifying me. I have now been on hold with Josten's for almost 2 hours and my daughter's tassels might not even show up in time for graduation. And what's more, students across the state are taking their senior pictures in their cap and gown and my daughter's school only gets them a week before graduation? I had senior pictures scheduled for much earlier but I have had to reschedule and continue to push it back because of Jostens.
I paid $224.00 for a cap, gown, tassel, and announcements, key chain, name cards, and thank you cards.
I only wanted the cap, gown, and tassel but, since Jostens is the only place you can order graduation supplies from I had to order the entire "package". Due to COVID-19, the original graduation date, time and location changed so the announcements had the original information. We mailed the announcements out with the bad information and emailed the Jostens representative that I believed a partial refund should be issued due to the wrong information and Josten made no effort to contact it's customers about what to do. Our school graduated
June 1. On May 28 I received an email response from the local rep saying they are not offering any refunds but they are printing inserts to go into the announcements and how many would I like when they are ready... No date as to when the inserts may or if be available. If the other parents are like me they have already mailed the announcements with the wrong information. Future maybe, possibly inserts do no good. I understand Jostens could not control the changes in graduation locations and dates, but,, they could have made a better effort in creating inserts correcting the information and a better attempt to contact their customers about what to do. But, since this company has a monopoly on graduation supplies in Texas there is no need for them to attempt to make sure the one huge event in a child's life be memorable.
I'm a teacher. In July of this year, Jostens sent out a catalog of clothing and I saw a nice Adidas 1/4 zip with my school logo on it. I ordered it on July 31,2019. The information stated that it would be 4-6 weeks.
7 weeks later (in October), I sent an email asking for information about my purchase. The customer service response was that it should be shipped in 1 week. By late October, I had sent another email with no response to my inquiry.
I opened up a complaint with the BBB. I either wanted my money back or my item within a week. Jostens responded by saying that they would refund the purchase price AND send the item anyway.
I received an email from them stating that the order for my school was delayed and that I should have received an email and they were sorry that I hadn't. They said that the order would be delayed an additional 2-3 weeks.
I received an order yesterday, November 26,2019. The order contained items for 2 of my colleagues, but not for me. I sent an email to those colleagues just to let them know I had their things, and were told that everyone was sent orders for multiple wrong people.
This has been a mess from the beginning. Don't order from them. Go find a local print/embroidery shop and give them your business if you need clothing. If you need a class ring, go directly to a jewelry shop.
While I'm appreciative they refunded my money (hence the 2 stars), this has been comically bad.
A commemorative 50 year class ring was ordered in November 2022 to be presented at a ceremony in April 2023. The rings presented were incomplete so a Jostens rep was onsite to take the rings for completion and resizing. The rings were promised to be sent via UPS to home addresses in 4 weeks. The rings were never sent. There was one excuse after another. The excuses were worded as "maybe" or "perhaps" which told me the rep has no personal interest in these rings. Dates if shipment were promised throughout the summer, the last being September 1st. Here it is the last week of September and no ring. Today I was told my ring had been sent to the high school and they returned it to be resized. The school #1, never received my ring #2, if they had, they had no way to know it still needed resizing without me trying it on. They also said the new mailing date is November 11th! A full year after it was ordered and already 5 months since the initial presentation? What kind of business stays in business with this kind of service, dishonesty and total lack of trust by the customer? I am beyond angry.
I have a senior on high school. As with most seniors, we ordered announcements. We received the announcements 2 weeks ago. The cover was perfect and the verbage was excellent. However, the inside flap where the name card goes was a glossey cartoon of a Spartan. He had a sword and shield. The shield was labeled "Doherty Spartans". That is not our mascot. I called Jostens and told them of the error. They apologized and reordered the announcements. They assured me it would be taken care of. Well today I received the new "corrected" version.
Again the front and text part looks great. But, the name cards area still had the Doherty Spartans. I am livid. I called Jostens again. I told the agent the situation. She was empathic and patient. She assured me that the announcements would be perfect. So it takes about 2 weeks to get the order. I mentioned to the agent that I will receive them from the 24-27. My sons graduation is the 23rd. We will get the announcements after the graduation ceremony. The agent asked me to hold. When she returned, she offered me two options. 1) a full refund and I return both orders. (Meaning I would pay postage to return the orders) 2) half a refund and they send me the "correct" announcements. I choose #2. This way its late but I can send his senior pictures with it.
Currently we have not received his cap, gown and sash. I have contacted the school to see if they have received it. With this mess, my son has decided not to participate in his Commencement. This is not the way we planned to celebrate his milestone. Please be careful if you order from Jostens.
The picture are HORRIBLE and extremely overpriced. At checkout they hit you with junk fees ($2.99 service fee). Flushing money down the toilet.
I will not buy from Jostens and will make sure our high school does not do business with them either. Poor customer service! I tried to reach an associate prior to buying my son's class ring online -a surprise for graduating with honors. I had a promo code for $50 which was not working at the time of sale. I called the company before 5pm to inform them that the promo code was not working; the voice mail asked to call at another time. I emailed them and did not get a response until 5 days later, AFTER I purchased the ring without the promo code. Their response was that I should use code: SENIORSAVE50. This is the same non-working promo code that I used during the purchase. The representative insisted that since the purchase was already made the day before getting the email, the company would not honor and give me the discount. After repeatedly asking her to review the 3 emails I had sent, she still refused to honor the $50 promo discount. Apparently, the company would prefer having an unhappy customer over honoring their own discount promo code. Shameful, since I've been buying yearbooks from Jostens through my children's high school over the past 8 years. Time for our high school to look for an alternative.
This company has always put out great photos & great customer service! I am shocked at all of the bad press. I guess every location isn't great.
I placed two orders for announcements with this company. The first order was as expected. I needed more graduation announcements for my son's high school graduation. When I received the second order. They were of horrible quality and printed on regular paper card stock you would purchase from Office Depot. I was so embarrassed to send those announcements out. I contacted Jostens for a refund and asked to send them back. I was told they would only provide a 20.00 refund for those crappy announcements! Then a month later I never received the refund by check! I contacted them and they had no idea about the refund. I requested a supervisor and they placed me on the line with a supervisor poser that had no authority! They finally listened to the call to confirm my refund after placing me on hold for several minutes. I then requested a full refund instead. I was told they would call back with the decision from a supervisor. I did not receive a call and had to call them back 4 hrs later! I requested a real supervisor and she was rude and stated they would only provide a $20.00 refund and now requested I send the announcements back to them for a full refund. They were not providing a return label. I already paid for announcements form VISTA PRINT(Better Quality and cheaper BTW) and had to rush the delivery because of their poor quality announcement they sent me. I was not about to give them another dime of my money. I doubt they will send me a refund. Beware, they are not a great company, poor customer service and poor quality. I would suggest to order your announcements else where! Nothing was resolved. They didn't even apologize for not sending my refund originally or compensate for it.
Good quality. I used them from m Good quality and used them for my past 2 diploma frames. I would use them again in.the future.
I understand it's there policy but I can't hp that my dad kicked me out and I had to switch schools.
My order wasn't there when most people from my class had theirs and when I called to ask about it they were rude.
Answer: Very difficult. They lied and bullshit on your order. Have the worst service ever
Answer: Total scam.they are supposed to be legit but companies dont do what they do if its an legit company, its been a year since i sent stuff back and cant get a return on my stuff or even get an email thur to them and havent heard anything since i got my email with the return label from them
Answer: Check out "Balfours". They've been around for over 50 years.
