I purchased a pedestal from them and it wasn't as shown on site. It was supposed to be a beige/white color and it was yellow gold...simply awful...I called customer service they said they don't take returns on furniture items and offered the 30% discount they were offering online. I took it but I am going to put this awful looking pedestal in a consignment store and hope I get something for it to help replenish my loss. Awful awful awful!
Never buy any products from Jonathan adler website! Will charge you shipping for returns even if they have wrong description! In fact buy his products from Neiman Marcus or Saks fifth as you can return them easily! I bought two trees from Jonathan Adler, where there was no description of feet, and it said this was drink tray… but no it wasn't. They were trees that you could put only stationary on your ottoman or some thing they were over the weight of 10 pounds each and that is ridiculous that they had no description of the weeks when I sent them an email and started to chat with them to get information about the trees. There was no response when I called them to return them because as I received, I figured out that these were such heavy trays that there was no way you could use them for drinks they told me that I would have to pay for the shipping label. I told them this is not acceptable as they did not have the clear description of the tray!
I went to the Rutherford store and fell for the "daybed"- which led to me filling my entire living room with JA furniture and art. After I paid for everything I then found out my representative was gone (they lose people like fruit flies) and had to deal with others. He was very knowledgeable about the JA line and we could talk and plan the room together. He disappeared without warning and the remaining (non) Customer service and making things right is not any JA employees concern, and it is solely the fault of Adler and his hierarchy. I had to call and write for months to get my chairs ordered properly, and the NYC manager had to help me because only she had that hands on understanding of the products. My main issue is I had just got the chairs and they went on sale soon after, but they would not provide a price adjustment. They ignored my calls and emails, and after I pursued them even hard I was told my order was archived. The store was powerless to help. What? Other customers had similar problems and broken items and it took them nearly a year to get through. I went to the NYC home office and the issue is none of the hierarchy comes to work. They dont answer the phones and when they do they Claim "its not their job", and will not tell you who's job it is. There is no one in charge and nobody you can access is willing to make decisions. I am filing several complaints with both NJ and NY state attorneys.
