I received an order confirmation for my purchase on 9/24/24. I STILL have NOT received my purchase. Trying to get a rep on the phone is difficult. This is not the first or 4th time that my purchases have either been delivered SO late or cancelled.
Additionally, their policies don't allow you to exchange sale items, and Johnny Was's "Final Sale" policy is exceptionally customer unfriendly.
Nobody answers the phone
Nobody replies to email
Regional manager doesn't return 3 phone calls
Store manager is on vacation for 2 weeks and my return for $605 is stuck till manager comes back to process it, cause 3 sales clerks in store don't know how to do it.
Moreover, instead of return receipt i was given a packing slip, so i literally have no proof i returned merchandise.
Filed the despite with my credit card
I bought this bag and within 3 weeks the straw at bottom started to break(see pics). Customer service will not answer phone calls or respond to my email with pictures attached. The store would not take damaged poor quality bag back. Proof of purchase is my order #*******.
Beware of doing business with this company. I ordered an expensive dress and it never arrived. After sending multiple emails and leaving multiple messages with their customer service department (no one answers the phone), I finally received a response. The company will accept no responsibility for the lost package leaving me out $255 with no recourse. USPS says the sender must file the missing package claim.
For a company that sells such expensive clothing, they provide zero customer service and treat their customers horribly.
I have been a loyal customer for over 14 years. What is happening to the quality of the materials?! I have several silk dresses like the original Patch work silk dress with slip, the Georgette Silk maxi with silk slip, and many many more.
Lately, everything I am ordering online that is coming to me in the mail is complete garbage… polyester. I hate polyester.
This was the purpose of me being a loyal Johnny was Customer. I could get flattering cuts with lovely prints to take on vacation that I knew were high-quality material. I'm sorry, but polyester makes you look cheap and I absolutely hate most of the fabrics that have it in them.
I'll be returning my last couple of orders and I don't think I'll be ordering anything else from Johnny was again. I don't know what happened to this corporation but it is gone down the low road. I only travel on the high road.
I have bought Johnny Was clothes for some years online (I don't live in the USA) and generally like the fabrics and style of clothing. However, I recently made a purchase using my credit card. When I checked my bank account, a second credit card charge had been made without my authorisation. After weeks of emails to Customer Support, I realised that they had no intention of addressing this issue. They simply don't care about their customers. I refuse to purchase anything from this company and warn any potential purchaser about the possibility that their personal credit card information may be abused.
I used to love their designs. They are awful since the company was sold. The embroidery designs are very juvenile. Ugly material. The prices are so much higher and sizes are huge. What happened to the sophistication? I am done with this brand. So sorry the old owners had much better taste
I ordered a $300. Shirt On line. They sent it Federal Express. Federal Express Hawaii Never has delivered anything to our house. Everything sent to us Federal Express ends up at some address close by or miles away. So item is lost. Federal Express says the contract is with Jonny Was. Jonny Was says it is in our terms and conditions that we do not reimburse for items lost by the carrier. DO NOT BUY JONNY WAS
I have MANY Johnny Was tops and my size varies from Extra Small to Large. I recently bought a Medium because it was recommended on the site to.size down. When it came, it was too small. JW would.not send a return label.because it was marked down in a sale. I have never experienced this rigidity and refusal to give store credit. I am done with this brand!
I purchased JW cropped white jeans 6/2023 at the Princeton NJ location, loved the jeans! I washed them and the leather label on the waistband ran. I took them back to Princeton and the associate said at least you can't see it. I called the JW service line pretty must the same answer. I re-washed the, same results, JW products for the price are not quality.
This billion dollar company of luxury clothes has just been exposed for ripping off the artist Kitty McCall (this happens a month after Black History Month and on International Women's Day!) and her designs. They have introduced their spring collection of clothing that features HER copywritten artwork, which they have not paid for or licensed! She cannot get the company to respond and likely doesn't have the resources or deep pockets for lawyers to protect her designs. SHAME on them for this!
I placed an order for multiple items. The quality was and appearance was very good and attractive. But I needed to return the boots as they didn't fit. I was informed that the boots were non-returnable. That information was not available when viewing the item. And it's difficult. To find a good fit with shoes/boots. I never considered that they would be non-returnable. Upon reading the small print in the return area it does indicate that items that are 50% of the original cost are nonrefundable. Just surprised and disappointed that an item like bootswould be nonrefundable. It is my fault for not reading all the fine print. Will not order from them again.
Have dealt with hundreds of company's but Johnny Was is in a class by itself: beyond awful. Not even deserving of one star. Their returns/customer service department has empty recordings that promise to get back to you in 24 hours but never come. Actually a scam of a company that should be out of business. Do NOT order from these crooks!
My husband purchased a coat for me in the Bethesda store that was not to my taste. The price was over $400. There was no problem returning it but I was wearing a JW coat (also a gift from my husband) purchased two years earlier. Instead of complimenting me on the JW coat I was wearing, the manager snidely remarked that it was from the season "three years ago." Somewhat surprised, I stated, no it was purchased in December 2020, during the height of Covid. She then suggested that when I bought it, it was from a prior season! (The coat was the current line at the time I purchased it.). She also commented that the $400 coat that I was returning would sell that day because it was so "inexpensive"! This is a peculiar way to treat a customer, but perhaps I'm not high-class enough to be shopping in this store, wearing a coat a couple seasons old, and purchasing garments that only cost $400.
I ordered masks over a week ago and contacted customer service for updates. They don't pick up even after telling you the wait time is TWO minutes. It's clear that they don't care about their customers!
I have never experienced such bad customer service from a "known" brand. This is embarrassing (for them). I placed an order and paid the $34.95 for overnight shipping. Only two (of over a dozen items) arriveD over night). The remainder are arriving snail mail. Problem - I ordered overnight as I will not be at that address for another month after three days of ordering them. Tried to contact customer service. What a sham! Automated voice telling you wait time is 3 minutes then after about 6 minutes an abrupt f you message and they hang up on you. How does this company survive? Still trying to figure out how to have someone pick an return these items. Unbelievably bad experience.
Chaotic, inefficient customer ""service"" - don't respond to anything left by voice mail, email, or even speaking to a person. They send emails daily urging you to buy more when they still haven't fixed the first problem that is a month old. It took so long to reach any department that - each said estimated wait was two minutes - and after four minutes told you to leave a message and somebody would get back to you within 24 hours... that never happens, Maybe King is the only person working in the entire administrative department. A headache I just really don't need... sent wrong item and I am still trying to get this corrected.
Ordered a $200 bathing suit from JW website; tried it on, looked awful on me, so I returned it a day after receiving. All tags were attached, as well as the liner inside. After 3 weeks I get an email stating they're sorry but they can't refund my item because it didn't meet their "conditions"? Was not a final sale item, bought directly from them. Can't even get a human being on the phone. They have an hour to call back before I open a dispute with my credit card company. Completely shady behavior from what is supposed to be a reputable business. Never again!
I have been trying to get an even exchange, smaller size top for 2 months. They dont return calls, the emails to customer care go unnoticed. The few live people I've spoke to always say they cant do the exchange. I've long ago sent back the top, at my expense, with all proper info in the box. This company should stop advertising until it can straighten out their issues. The clothes are nice, but not worth the aggravation. This is not my first time dealing with them, and I should have learned my lesson.
I have been ordering from the Johnny Was website for over a year. I absolutely love their clothes. I have had to return I think three items due to me not reading fully the measurements on each piece. I returned them as instructed and received a credit within a week of my return. I have no idea what all these negative comments are about. Now, I only order from their website so I can't give an opinion on a third-party distributor. I gave everyone in my family, the females, a Johnny Was item for this past Xmas and everyone loved it. I will continue to buy this brand. I just wanted to throw out my two cents and give a positive review because this is the way I feel. I'm sorry others are having issues.
Answer: They will respond, and thank you for contacting them, but they will do nothing to help. Even when my complaint was escalated, and I had to re-send all my documentation, Customer Support did not address the problem. I think they figure that the unhappy customer will eventually give up and so they don't bother to try to fix your problem.
Answer: I had read about the benefits of silk masks vs cotton, and theirs were pretty. NOT worth the frustration!
Answer: Johnny Was is extremely hard to pin down you size. I have worn anywhere from Extra Small to Large. The downside is when you order on line, their customer service makes it extremely difficult to return. They have no sympathy for the fact that you are stuck with an.exprnsive garment that is too small or large and it ia their fault. I am done with this brand!
