I made an online purchase and immediately realized I ordered the wrong item. JW does not let you make any changes once an order is placed. I ordered the correct item and immediately sent back the wrong item once it was received. Got an email saying they received the return and then... nothing. No response to emails, phone calls. Finally talked to a real person and was promised she'd look into it and call me back. No call back. Their customer service is non-existent. Will NEVER order from them again and will discourage others from doing business with them.
The masks are not returnable if they are tried on and how are you supposed to know how they fit if you don't try them on? The elastic is too short and stiff and your whole face would be distorted and look prematurely wrinkled if you wear them. And then you will have an outline of the mask on your face for a long time!
Please beware the even if you didn't try on the masks, you will still have to pay $10 to return the $25 masks.
Customer service is an oxymoron at the moment in December 2021. I ordered a blouse from the holiday catalog on 11/10 and the expected ship date was quoted as 11/12. The blouse is now sold out and I have not received any additional communication about this order. I've called and emailed customer service 4 times and have received zero response, unless you call an automated email indicating that they received your question a response. I ordered this as a Christmas gift and have zero confidence I will ever receive it. I am a Johnny Was clothing fan but this recent experience has really spoiled whatever good feelings I may have had about the company. All I want is a response about the true status of this order.
I am a regular customer without any problems up until now. Recently I am desperately trying to order 3 items online. But the system says "There is a problem with your order, try again"! What does this mean.? I wrote to "Customer Service", but still I couldn't get a proper answer and help. I wonder what has happened to this company.?
I finally received the order I'd placed 2 months ago even though it literally was shipped from a store 7 miles away from my house. No one and I mean no one returns your call or your emails. I returned couple of items at the Century City location thinking I would be credited within a few days 20 days later no credit or acknowledgement of any credit due. Their story is that due to Covid they are behind and can't offer customer service but can send ten emails a day encouraging you to buy more stuff. I say if you can't provide proper customer service then maybe you shouldn't offer any merchandise.
Placed an order on June 18, got an email stating my item shipped on 6/21. It's 6/29 and I still don't have an updated tracking. Have sent several emails and made several phone calls. They charged my card on 6/18. I finally got to a "supervisor" and he told me there were Covid issues, riot issues, etc. and told me their building burned down. I apologized and said he should have told me that from the beginning. Then he said no, that didn't happen. Also said he didn't work for Johnny Was that they were just an answering service. He told me someone would eventually answer my email, but to given it several business days. Really wish I had read the reviews before I spent my money with them.
I didn't get the selection of masks that I ordered. Nothing was stated that these would be substituted. Also, nothing in the description says they are not eligible for return. The quality is not great, the fabric is thin. I have since cancelled my catalogs and will not order from Johnny Was in the future. Their clothing is made in China with for a very high price.
I adore beautiful fabrics and flowy styles. I own 4 blouses - purchased from Neimans and the website - and a set of cotton masks. The blouses are all beautiful and well-made. Finishing embroidery is lovely. The fabrics make me smile... visually and tactfully. The masks look so nice... that gorgeous fabric again. But, I will lengthen the elastic - no biggie - and note that there is no nose wire. My online order was prompt and correct. I'll continue to purchase Johnny Was, and hope that others have more successful orders and enjoy the products as I do.
After returning a purchase using a return label I am still waiting for a refund 2 weeks after tracking shows they have received it
Useless customer service via phone or email
Will never purchase again
Ordered a dress on line. Website indicated the dress was available. Received a confirmation email and throughout the week have received emails advertising the dress (in my size). Today I received an email saying "sorry the dress is not available". Supposedly stores were checked and my size was sold out. So why did it take five days to determine the order status? Why is the dress continued to be advertised? If I can't trust the website, can I trust the quality of the clothes?
The arm pit is choking me. Even on Sale, this pretty shirt is NOT WORTH IT. And the sleeves are too long. Size L. Me 62 inches tall, Size L, weight 160 lbs. Purchased on Poshmark@ mehran.
When I took an item that I ordered online back to the store, they told me I had to have a printed return label to bring it into the store. Luckily for me there was a sales clerk there that was walking me through it on my phone… After another store clerk had told me that they wouldn't help me at the store. Which I thought was tacky… I will be doing no buying at Johnny Was. I never really liked the garments anyway because they're mostly slinky cheap feeling polyester. Johnny Was is probably going to be a "Was" before long.
Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. Called and they would not change the size I ordered after THEY emailed me and said my ordered would be delayed. They claim they are too short handed to change my order. They were clearly not to short handed to process my payment. BEWARE!
Placed a $555.00 order on their website. Never received a email Confirmation even though I had an Order Number from the original order place. I have emailed, called, left Voice mail messages, filed a complaint on their website... I NEVER received one (1) reply from them. This is the WORST customer Service I have ever encountered. They do NOT allow reviews to be written on their website... I understand why, They know their customer service does NOT Exist... They do not care about the customer... Stay away from this company.
False advertising, zero costumer service!
Item that I purchased on sale was not available, but is still on the catalog and still on sale. The second order I made I received the wrong items. To talk to customer service was impossible, I called 20 times but no response. I regret buying from this company.
On 1/24 I ordered 3 items. I received 2 of the 3 items and 1 wrong item. On Dec 7 I called Johnny Was because the wrong item sent to me was $89 vs $248 for the item I purchased. The call was ridiculous. It took 30 mins for the customer service person, Allison, to comprehend the issue. She asked me to send her a picture of the item with the tag. I responded to her email with the image on Dec 8. On Dec 11, I had not received a response. I wrote them again and complained about not receiving a response. Then they write me and say sorry for the delay, but the claim is under review. Then I receive an email with the FED-X return label. I pack it up and mail it back immediately at a FED-X office. It is now Jan 2 and I have not recieved any information regarding my claim. And Allison promised me that once they had tracking info on the return, they would immediately ship out the original item ordered. So much for getting my item. I am now disputing the charge on my credit card. I will no longer shop at Johnny Was. I am done.
It is just BRANDING! The quality and texture of the materials are the cheapest on earth--made in China, nothing against it but their prices do not match their products. Never again!
I had reached out twice via email regarding a return for two fragrance oils that hadn't been open. Neither of my emails got returned. I had to call in and finally spoke to someone who told me I couldn't return the items even though they weren't open. I don't recommend this store and I won't be shopping here in the future.
Terrible customer service. They do not respond when you call, and an online inquiry gets only a bounceback that says they will respond. They do not! Also sizing is very unreliable.
I ordered masks from them 3 weeks ago and I still have not received them.
They finally sent me a tracking number and every time I check the tracking number the date gets pushed back.
They still have not given the package to the carrier, USPS, but say it has shipped.
I have called, emailed, left voicemails, and still have not had a response from anyone at Johhny Was.
I will be filing a chargeback with my bank because this is a fraudulent company.
Answer: They will respond, and thank you for contacting them, but they will do nothing to help. Even when my complaint was escalated, and I had to re-send all my documentation, Customer Support did not address the problem. I think they figure that the unhappy customer will eventually give up and so they don't bother to try to fix your problem.
Answer: I had read about the benefits of silk masks vs cotton, and theirs were pretty. NOT worth the frustration!
Answer: Johnny Was is extremely hard to pin down you size. I have worn anywhere from Extra Small to Large. The downside is when you order on line, their customer service makes it extremely difficult to return. They have no sympathy for the fact that you are stuck with an.exprnsive garment that is too small or large and it ia their fault. I am done with this brand!
