After scanning my resume for the first time lined up with the job I was applying for, and seeing I needed additional edits, I made those adjustments and felt much more confident applying to that job. It was a really cool tool to use!
Never new these even existed but I am SO PLEASED to use this! It's really helping me to take building my resume to heart. It's not just another sheet of paper with my information or work history anymore. It's taught me how to create an actual piece of me.
Awesome! Thank you for the feedback!
Example: if in your cv you mentioned you are a consultant, and where you have applied written consultancy, the scanner will not recognize this word in your resume,
Example2: it is very funny this scanner considering coordinating as a hard skill, or team leader, or verbal communications,
Example 3: always shows margin formatting error though it is between 0.5 and 1 inch as recommended them but it will never work, even the resume templates i downloaded from jobscanner has shown always error margin formatting!
It is worthless it to pay this much amount for dumb and useless recommendations! This one of where I spend my money for nothing!
Pricing -having just run the LinkedIn comparison, I'm now confused if that comes as part of the 'standard' Premium Plan or if it is a separate plan given it's priced/promoted differently. Personally, I'd remove that confusion by simplifying detail such as that - simple makes for a smoother customer journey (especially for a potential rather than returning customer).
Until ATS can be enhanced with semantic modeling, we are at the mercy of making sure we "strategy initiatives" on one resume and "strategic initatives" on another. Jobscan does a great job of pointing out the keywords for hard and soft skills in the job posting, and where you might have skill gaps.
Before jobscan, I received callbacks from about 12% of the resumes I submitted. Since I've been using jobcscan, I'm getting phone screens on a full quarter (25%) of my applications. The platform is easy to use and the support team is incredibly responsive.
I used Jobscan at the advice of my career coach at the University of California San Diego Extension and found the services to be very helpful. I received a job offer and didn't need the service anymore. I forgot that I had a subscription until they emailed me about the bill. I emailed them right away that I would like to cancel my subscription and the support team immediately came back and said they would refund me for the next billing cycle. Good on Jobscan!
Thank you for the wonderful feedback, Laura!
The tool is easy to use - paste your resume on one side and the job description your applying to on the other and the tool highlights areas you can improve your chances of getting that call from the potential employees. It looks at length of resume, key words, title, experience, and tells you where to shore up your resume.
GREAT tool. If you're looking for a job you need this.
This is an amazing service! I used the scanning capability and recommendations diligently and I am certain this was the reason I was able to land the excellent position that I did. I signed up for the 3 month Premium service and after 1 month, I received an offer for Software Engineering Manager for a high quality, publicly traded company.
Thank you!
Congratulations on getting the job, Cara! We are glad that the tool was a great help! We wish you all the best!
I just started using it. From the way it is analyze the resume against JD, It's seems really professional. This is the first week and I applied to 6 jobs so far.
Stay turned and I will update you with the the outcome
I used jobscan to boost my resume and chances it passes through the scan fase when applying for a job. I enjoyed using jobscan and I could customize resumes and cover letters for each job until I found my next step. Strongly recommend
Awesome! Thank you for the feedback!
I had been searching for a job for over a year and was considering my retirement options. The Jobscan software was recommended to me through a recruiting company and it really made a difference in the number of companies and recruiters viewing my resume. And yes, I got the job I was looking for all that time!
First scan provided some benefit, however, there are sections that are inaccurate in scan results. These include, experience level, education level, and broadly accepted keywords that are not identical matches but clearly are same meaning.
I figured I knew what I was doing, just create a resume that tells potential employers what I'd done and what experience I had and I was in good shape. Well, I didn't know what I didn't know, it turns out that resume creation is a very specialized skill. In order to get in the door and actually talk to a person your resume needs to stand out amongst what may be hundreds of other candidates. Jobscan will help you through this process and help you craft a resume that opens doors and gets you interviews. I was able to find a job using a resume that I tweaked with Jobscan's help, I really don't think that I would have been able to even get an interview without using Jobscan.
This is awesome! Thank you for the feedback, Bruce!
I opened a 1-month trial with them, to test the services first so I can decide if they are right for me. The trial is only available if you subscribe to a 3-month membership. So when the trial ends they automatically charge you with 90 USD. The trick is that they send no email to confirm you started your trial and absolutely no email to notify you that your trial is about to end. They are as stealth as possible so as to maximize their chances of you forgetting to cancel before the trial ends. Which is what happened to me. Then, nobody replies from customer support. If you want to get services from a business that operates like this, go for it. For me these shady practices are a definite deal braker.
I really like the ability to use your scanning tool to bring my percentage up for a match however I have not had any luck yet with securing an interview even with a 90 to 98% match for an opportunity.
I applied for many jobs prior to and after using this platform. I must say that Jobscan is a "game changer". I have received multiple interviews and a few job offers in the short time I have utilized this platform. I already recommended this to many friends. Definitely worth the investment!
Awesome! Thanks for the great review, Brian!
I have not had the chance to see all the features I have subscribed for. Having just paid for the subscription and being asked to give an overall rating on the experience so far; I am only able to give a neutral rating. Potentially waiting until I have explored the features prior to asking for feedback would have resulted in a better rating.
I recently used the tool Jobscan to review my resume in comparison to the job description I was applying for. Jobscan gave me suggestions which I used to tweak my resume. I'm happy to report, I received a call for an interview within the same week I posted for the position! Last week I accepted the position and will start my new career assignment in two weeks! I highly recommend using Jobscan to tailor your resume for the job you are seeking. It really worked for me!
Jobscan is actually a very supportive tool in the endeavour of the job seek. I don't have much to say. As far as I know, I haven't seen a similar tool out there. Now with the artificial intelligence, capabilities have improved amazingly. Jobscan is my compagnon during hard times. I could say more at another occasion.
Answer: Hi Tanisha! Jobscan recommends at least 80% for ATS to make your resume visible to the hiring manager. To boost your match rate, take a look at the missing skill and keywords (the ones denoted as red X) and see which ones are relevant to include in your resume. Focusing on including missing keywords that appear more frequently in the Hard Skills section will quickly boost your match rate. Here's a video tutorial that helps with getting your rate up - https://www.jobscan.co/video-resume-match-report. I hope this helps. Please reach out to support@jobscan.co if you have questions as you go along. Thanks!
