I love this website. I recently sent Monster Mash, an old favorite song for Halloween, to my relatives with their faces in hysterically funny poses in this program. It is absolutely hysterical! Can't stop laughing.
I just renewed my subscription as I've been a member for a very long time. The only beef I have is it would be nice if we could remove the Jibjab logo. I put them in many of my video's as my company is called Memories in Motion. Sometimes it's a big distracting. I can crop it out on some but not all the videos. In future, I'd like to see a ways to create a jibjab with your own music video so we can pick and choose the group/artist. Keep up the good work though. It always brings many laughs.
I recently paid for a 1 year membership to create a video for a friend's birthday. The fee seemed low enough. For some reason, my card was charged twice instead of once. So an $18.00 charge turned into $36.00. I did contact JibJab for assistance and the rep informed me that his research revealed only one charge. I am still trying to get this rectified but have decided to cancel the membership altogether. I don't believe it's worth the trouble of having to go through this.
Long story short I misplaced my credit card while I was out and about. Within a few a days it was returned but here is was the kicker. I got an notification stating I made purchases through PayPal. JibJab being one of the companies that were on my bank statement. However soon as I contacted JibJab about what happened they were ready to fix the issue immediately without an hassle and I really appreciated that. In which I was surprised and felt good because you hear stories similar to mine and nothing gets resolved. This was a positive outcome and I wanted to share my experience. Thanks! Again JibJab.
I recently renewed my membership for Father's Day and sent two Jibjab emails to my husband, neither of which he could view. I had to go to my account and let him view them there.
ALSO, it is not always possible to distinguish offensive messages (profane or lewd) by the title or cover picture. For families' sake (and children who love to look, too) please consider grouping or marking these in some way. Thank you for your consideration of these matters.
I put in a request to JibJab's helpdesk, and received a response which satisfied my need very quickly! It was one of the smoothest, no-nonsense, no-questions-asked customer service experiences I've had in a long time.
The site is great, works easily, even if you've never done it before. Only problem is if you pay for a premium membership, there's not enough new music videos or cards added annually.
If you have lots of people to do birthday or occasions for, you can't be recycling these ideas for them (as they will all see the card that was specially made for them, with someone elses face).
For the price of membership, JibJab needs to keep adding at a faster pace than they currently do.
This app has brought laughter and cheer to my friends. Even if someone is sick you can send a cute get well video to let them know you care. Great birthday stuff included! You can save many faces from your contacts, and gallery to make fun videos! I love this app! It's worth paying for a full year of endless, and unique ways to say happy birthday, congrats, happy Valentine's, or merry Christmas!
Could not get to step 2 in making a card... after putting face on card and sizing it, when I hit done, page went back to home page. Tried several times and gave up in frustration. Will probably cancel my subscription if this happens again.
The concept is a good one and generates laughs but I would suggest a few changes. First, the mouth movement never lines up with the static face images, it would be better to just leave that part out. Second, the delivery method is terrible. If I'm paying $18 to use this app, I don't want it to look like an advertisement for JibJab when I'm sending the card to its recipient. This was the most frustrating and disappointing part of my entire experience.
Paid in advance for the one year subscription, then played around on the site, made some fun jib jab videos, shared them with other family members... but decided I didn't want to commit to playing that much through out the rest of the year and decided to cancel the membership. Finally a company with NO drama, or sales pitch to try and change my mind. Helpful and prompt service and membership was cancelled. Now I'm waiting for the refund... which I fully expect to see reflected in my account soon.
I'm having so much fun with JibJab that I'm driving my family nuts! Just kidding... they're always nuts! The app is very user friendly and it's a great alternative to the mundane greeting cards out there. I would highly recommend it... get addicted to fun!
Fun but can get Meh after awhile. There's actually a handful that I like. Pretty worried since I would like to cancel after this year and am not interested in future payments being automatically deducted. Sadly, holidays and a select few are entertaining for myself.
I made the Mothers Day dance one for my 86 year old mom. I haven't seen her laugh that hard in a very long time. My brother passed away several weeks ago and this provided a strong healthy dose of laughter in my parents home! Thank you jibjab, can't wait to make another one for Father's Day!
I joined again thinking there would be much different content than when I joined a year ago. Maybe it's because I was mainly focused on the music video section, but it seemed that there was very little new content. I guess this is my bad for not looking at the full inventory of videos available before rejoining.
I have sent many interactive cards with Jib Jab and have always had a wonderful response. My friends and family kind of expect me to send them one on their birthdays. I do wish you would go back to the older face-capture. I think it made it look better and more proportionate. One more suggestion, please add more cards with varying genders. You need some new material. Thanks so much for coming up with this product. It's hilarious and so easy to use
I love JibJab and have sent numerous cards to friends and family the past few years- all hilarious and well received. However this month I find myself in a different set of financial circumstances due to the recent flooding in my area and felt I should cut back on unnecessary expenditures in order to be able to assist those in need. My yearly payment had already been deducted by the time power was back on and I had an opportunity to call customer service. The representative who took my call immediately took care of that by refunding my payment. He was kind, considerate, and extremely helpful and I greatly appreciated his assistance. Thank you JibJab!
I have been using Jib Jab ever since its arrival but some how this year I lost my subscription, so I have subscribed again. I am very happy with the program, it has so many cards to choose from and is so easy to use. The service is great, you have never missed sending any of my cards on time & my friends tell me they really love receiving them. So please keep up the good work... Daphne..
Be careful, JibJab has set up their payment screen to make it seem like you're only going to pay a couple bucks but you are actually paying for a year subscription, on a recurring basis. So you cancel your sub right away but it's not even clear if you have cancelled or not.
I'm sure there is some small print that says you are about to pay 20$ and not 1.60$, but it's easy to get confused. If this product is so great, why would have you to obscure the true cost? Why would you not make it obvious if you have cancelled your sub or not?
JibJab just tries to milk 40$ out of each customer because they know no one will ever need more than 1 or 2 of their "okay" video cards.
Watch out! 1 year after you engage this company they will auto renew you for $18 and when you go to their site it's obvious that a request refund is up front. They know a percentage of people will simply overlook the charge. Chit holes!
Hi Doug! Please send an email to help@jibjab.com and we will be happy to help.
Answer: Unfortunately, now you can only edit your heads immediately after you upload them, which makes it a waste of time to save them because each head you upload will only work correctly for the video you uploaded it for. I was told they removed the 'edit any time' function so people could use their app on androids which sounds pretty absurd to me. Oh well, this will be the last year I ever pay for it again if they don't correct this outrage.
Answer: We've removed the fine-tuned shaping feature for now to make our casting process easier for all; we also made adjustments so that users can easily cast their cards directly on mobile devices. This is part of our desire to make sure that anyone can learn to use and send our cards! Please feel free to reach out to help@jibjab.com with any additional feedback and we'll pass it along.
Answer: No more than 30 min. Had to find and edit my pictures that I used.
