I will never ever do business with JCPenney again! NEVER
I ordered a sofa and chair online. When they delivered the furniture they forgot to leave the paperwork & warranty. The sofa they delivered looked much darker than the one I ordered. I called them the next day and asked them if they could check to make sure that the correct item was delivered. I explained to them that I was aware that sometimes when you order things online that the pics do not always match exactly with the actual color. I told them that as long as the correct item was delivered That I would be content with they left me with. They told me that they could not check to see if the correct item was delivered and that even if they could there would be nothing that they could do about it. They told me that because I accepted the delivery that it would be my fault if it was the wrong item or color. I spoke with a supervisor and a manager and was told the exact same thing. So I guess that JCPenney can just drop off anything they want. It doesn't have to be the item that you ordered. They assume no responsibility whatsoever. The funny thing is that I eventually found a serial number on a tag underneath the couch and once I googled it I found out that it was the right color. What's not so funny is there ended up being a very small tear on the arm of the sofa that will probably just get bigger. They sent someone out to look at the sofa ( 2 months later). After he walked all over my white rug with his dirty tennis shoes he told me that even though there is a 1 year warranty on the sofa they probably won't do anything about it because they said I probably tore it myself. I told him that I was going to report them to the better business bureau and any other agency that I could come up with. His response was " Oh they don't care about anything like that." They have been reported numerous times besides, they are getting ready to go out of business. " They are a horrible company! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!
My favorite store to shop at. I always get good deals, reward deals and coupons. I average saving 40-80% at any given time. Awesome sales...

My granddaughter and I spent some quality time shopping for back to school clothes for her online (I am disabled so I can no longer shop at the store in person). I found the prices on line at JCP quite expensive but me settled on a dress and a skort for her and bought the rest at Kohl's which proved to be much more reasonable in price. The next day I received an email from JCP stated that the dress that we had chosen was on longer available. My granddaughter was heart broken. So a couple days later I returned to JCP.com to purchase her second favorite dress and found the first choice is still available online. I called JCP customer service 800 number to investigate. I was told that they have a new system and instead of the order being cancelled that it was on back order. The JCP system sent the wrong email and they had no intention of informing me by email or phone of their misinformation. I find this concerning since my credit card was charged. A week later I received a email that the dress was ready for me to pick up at JCP store in the home department and that I needed to bring my credit card to the store to pickup the dress. I called the local JCP store in inquire as to why the credit card was necessary to pickup the dress as I had already paid for it. My plan was to have my daughter in law pick it up I no longer drive due to my disability. I inquired if proof of purchase from my email confirmation would suffice and she replied that only my credit card used on line would be acceptable even though JCP had already charged my credit when I originally brought the dress and skort. I believe as consumers we vote with our money. I will never purchase from JC Penny again due to their poor customer service.
Leaving for a Caribbean trip this weekend; I ordered a dress and had it sent UPS 3 day. Opened it and it is a winter jacket. Perfect!
I order here if I am looking for a fancy dress for my infant/toddler. I always find something for special occasions and church :)

Do not order from JCPenney. Purchased a mattress and box spring from them on 9/4/20 and here we are on 10/14/20 and still have not received!

Answer: I believe that there is a policy related to coupons. The clerk did look up your. Credit card. If you had been shopping at a grocery without your coupon it would have been the same. It is nice that at times they have made an exception for you which was good customer service on their part. Perhaps you had a new clerk that was still training or very busy. You should not blame the store for one instance with one employee. You also should not expect special treatment just because someone has bent the rules in the past.
Answer: No. A waste of your money. The original warranty will suffice.
