Let the buyer beware

I purchased a Movado from Jacob time on November 28. A few days later I received the watch showed it to My Wife and she didn't like it. So I emailed the store and asked them if they could either find the model she wanted or what may I do with the watch. They told me to return it and they would issue a refund. I returned it on January 3 and they received it on January 5. Since sending the return they have not answered two calls, which they generally don't answer the phone, and three emails asking for an update on receipt and refund. No answer, no respect. In looking online, I have found that not processing refunds is exceptionally common for them. So now I take it to my bank for resolution. Please consider this before making a purchase from them.

Awesome experience!

I first emailed them a question I had on a watch that I intended to purchase. I was pleased by the quick response. I be ordered the watch, delivery notifications were expedient and it was also the best price, better than competitors. Give them a try you won't be disappointed!

Stay far away!
May 6, 2019

Bought a $400 Movado from them and the stem to set the time and date came out. Tried to send it in under warranty to get it repaired and they said the stem was cosmetic and they won't repair it!
The watch is useless now!
Stay far away from this company, they send you broken stuff then make excuses as to why they will not take it back or cover it under warranty!

Bought a Tissot Navigator watch which looked new. But had internal problems right out of the box. After sending it back 4 times (at a cost of $35.00 each time) they finally sent it to Tissot for repair. Now, more than 2 years later, the watch works well but the stainless steel link band, which has kinked since month #1, is kinked again. (They have already unkinked it 3 times.) This time I asked them to replace the +$100.00 band under the warranty agreement. They quickly pointed out that the warranty doesn't cover watch bands. In the future I won't be shopping with Jacobtime or Tissot. My vintage, 45-year old, Seiko 6139 Pogue chronograph is still working and is more accurate & reliable than this Tissot.

Said in stock, waited until day I was expecting delivery to notify they had canceled the order. I bypassed on another deal from elsewhere and now it is no longer available.

My experience with this business was the best I've had online. INCREDIBLE price and express shipping across the U.S.!

I used to shop at Filene's basement store in NY so when I found their website, I placed an order thinking they are a legitimate business. The order came from a 3rd party seller Jacob Time (jacobtime.com). The item I received was damaged (they shipped a $300 bag in a plastic poly shipping bag) so I immediately contacted Filene's. They responded a week later saying I have to contact Jacob Time. Waited 2 weeks after return and no refund. Emailed Jacob Time and got a response from Tanya saying they would issue a refund. Still no refund. Called them and they were absolutely as rude as could be and told me they're only a distribution center and they don't issue refunds. I asked to speak to Tanya and was told by Stephanie (manager) that Tanya is not available, owner is out of town and she's the only one I could speak to. She again said they don't issue refunds and hung up on me. I cannot get anyone live at Filene's, EVER. Their number goes directly into vm. Sent an email through Filene's website and got a reply from Jacob Time that they're a distribution center and they do not issue refunds. These 2 business are linked and are definitely scamming people. Save yourself the headache and stay clear away from Filene's basement and Jacob Time.
