AT YOUR OWN RISK! (I'VE HAD THE WORST DATING EXPERIENCE WITH IJL, NO EXCEPTION TO THIS STATEMENT).
My name is Sophie, I would just like to say, that I am very, very disappointed with the service that I received throughout my membership since 2021, and feel it was the worst $3,000, I have ever spent! Diane signed me up, and made wonderful promises, that did not materialize.
I was promised to meet 12 men in 1-2 year, and only met 7 (both combined virtually and in person), and it took 3 years of dating to meet 7 men, unheard of! This was because, I was told later in my membership, not upfront; that if the men or I either cancelled or rescheduled a date, it was a lost cause and you would not get to meet anyone else in their place. They do not reschedule dates! You either go when scheduled, or you lose that date!
The matchmakers also kept changing on me and they were all non-responsive. I had to email them several times, and finally after a month, they would reply. I felt many promises were made but were not kept. I was also sent men that lived far away from me. The men I dated, also expressed how unhappy they were with the IJL dating service.
Anyway, I just want to say my peace and tell all potential clients, that IJL dating company is the worst dating company I have ever signed up with. I surely hope they change their ways and stop lying and manipulating their clients, like me and others, and do what they promised in the first place! The worst experience I ever had with a dating company!

I would totally stay away from It's Just Lunch. They reel you in with great promises and then offer nothing. What they don't exactly tell you is that any potential Match that they propose is considered a Date - so you pay $1,000 for 3 Dates and then they show you a "Match" who you don't like so you say NO and that counts as a Date - $333 down. I specifically said no fat guys - (I'm 5'3 120 - I don't want some big fat slob) the first guy they sent me was gross and fat so of course I said no - oh well, $333 gone. It's like a scam - all they have to do is send you people that you won't like, you say no, and they keep your money. It's been 3 weeks since I was sent this AMAZING match so of course I reached out to my "Dating Coach" and he totally blew me off with "I will be in touch with you soon regarding a new match. I have been searching and selecting and be call you as soon as I have a new potential match that meets your criteria" Which is so funny because when we spoke he had SO MANY amazing men he couldn't wait to set me up with - now all of a sudden he can't even find one LOL - this site is such a racket - save your money!

I feel really misled having signed up for this service.

When signing up, I was fed all these hopes of there being young professional men who are ready to pursue a partner, even in this pandemic! Every date was exhausting and even after lots of feedback given to my matchmaking team, there was nowhere near a connection.

If you're a professional young woman, I'd say to save your money and just hang on until a better service comes around. They charge $1800 just to join, and then $98/month for membership. They'll paint a pretty picture of how you can put your membership on hold at any time if you think you've found a connection or need a break, but what they don't mention is that it still costs $28/month to NOT use your membership and let your file sit on a computer in an office somewhere.

Plus, if you try to change the status of your membership or cancel your membership and miss the cutoff you still get charged for the entire month. Watch out, y'all, there are ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS. That's a lot of money to risk and say goodbye to.

On top of the financial issues, I felt like all of the feedback I was giving to my team was being ignored. Despite being explicit in my priorities when finding a partner, I would find out during the dates that these wishes were all but ignored. Perhaps the questionnaire they use leads people to answer in what they think will be a favorable way, but from the summaries that they give you as an introduction before the date to the actual date themselves, it's hard not to feel misled. Part of me feels like they ask for feedback just to make the clients feel like they're being heard when they're not.

Even if all the dates hadn't been virtual, I think I would've suffered equally, if not more, during in-person dates. At least when you're at home you can call it a night and just shut down your computer. I can't imagine being in a restaurant actually having a meal with some of these men and being stuck waiting for the check with nothing more to say or ask. I didn't think finding someone would continue to be so difficult and frustrating when I was paying so much to have a team search for me. Very disappointed and frustrated that I took a chance on this service.

I've read many of the reviews here. As I went through them I had chills, mentally saying "check, check, check..."
All the horrible things people are saying here about IJL are 100% true and accurate.
So I won't ramble on here, but I'll just make a select few point (although if I had the will to go further I could keep writing for a long time).

Yes, sales folks are persuasive and encouraging but their "pitch" conveys a "services" professionalism that simply does NOT exist at IJL.
Yes, the initial in-person interview is lightweight. It doesn't truly investigate anything other than the most BASIC information which explores nothing beyond the template-style profile data that you'd fill out in any everyday online dating site.
You are NOT taken care of by an "assigned matchmaker". You will be randomly contacted by anyone at IJL as they attempt to set you up on dates. It could be any one of the many "call-centre-style" reps that have. (See next point)
Professional, qualified (certified) "matchmakers" is a pathetic joke. It doesn't take the greatest wit of man to figure out that the vast majority of the IJL staff are simply call-centre operatives. There's zero matchmaking "experience", professionalism or aptitude... in my personal opinion. I've studied people for a lifetime, and I'm confident that if they randomly pulled 20 strangers into their call-centre off the street, those 20 people would likely be just as expert inside 20 minutes as the people representing IJL as "expert matchmakers"
Yes, what many people are portraying about IJL being nothing other than a scam-style money/revenue collecting operation is a fully valid assertion.
IJL have no interest in carefully matching you to the "right person". They are interested to collect your money and evading your claims for refunds when you (inevitably) discover that they have no real ability to provide the service that they sold to you... I could go on and on and on... but I think you get the picture.

Join IJL at your peril.
If you do, I promise you that you will regret it.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS SITE! I wish I had looked at the YELP REVIEWS before I signed up. I was desperate and looking for love after a very long time. This site just takes a lot of money from you and does not deliver based on their contract. I signed up October 2019 and was promised 12 men within 1 year according to my contract. I told them what I was looking for (gave them specifics: race, height background etc). NONE of them listened. I was shuffled around from one "EXPERT" (supposedly) to another. These employees are hired off of the streets. They have no experience, etiquette, or listen to what a client wants. More women sign up then men so men end up getting more women then they are promised and women get the bottom dwellers.

Even before they could satisfy my contract (after 2 ½ years) they called me to ask for more money (an upgrade) lol. They are desperate to swindle money from women who are looking for that one person. LADIES, I WOULD MOVE ON AND GO TO OTHER SITES THAT ARE SO MUCH CHEAPER WITH MANY, MANY MEN OR ASK FRIENDS TO INTRODUCE YOU TO A FRIEND WHO IS SINGLE. THIS SITE IS A MONEY DRAINER WITH NO ENDING………………………………….

It's Just Scam.

It's Just Lunch (IJL), at best, gets a score of 1 because I am paying for a service that is NOT being rendered.

I signed up for IJL in August 2021 with an Arizona Private Search DIAMOND contract. The sales person, (Adrienne), put on a full-blown pitch, suggesting they had plenty of singles women in my age group they could match with me. It seems they will tell you anything you want to get you to sign the contract and are more interested in snatch and grab that credit card number.

Although they make all kinds of promises, they fail to produce results. I paid almost $5k with the promise of 14 dates in a year, whatever occurs later. It's been over 8 months and I've been on only 3 dates. Although I had my first horrible date two weeks after joining, this was my only date in the entire five-month period of August-September-October-November-December. Pathetic!
Additionally:
- I was 'stood up' twice in 2021 without an explanation. It is plain unacceptable for a date not to show up … period. There are accountability and responsibility issues and there should be consequences and repercussions for these actions.
- I was given two additional introductions to set up date. However, soon afterwards, I was informed that neither were available any longer. I believe they were trying to 'pacify' me and this was nothing than a stall tactic because frankly they likely didn't have a pool of available single women to present.

I was assigned to a new matchmaker after the general lack of communication and failure to reply on a timely basis with my first matchmaker.

I am incredibly disappointed in how things are going with IJL. My advice is to don't waste your money, time and hopes.

I must say, my experience with It's Just Lunch (IJL) took a complete 180-degree turn, all thanks to the amazing Trisha R. Initially, I was quite disheartened with the service and had reached a point where I was ready to give up on the whole idea. But then, along came Trisha, and she completely changed my perspective on the company and the entire matchmaking process.

Trisha is an absolute gem! From the very first interaction, she made me feel like I was more than just a client; she treated me like a friend. Her warmth and genuine care were evident in every conversation we had. Trisha took the time to truly understand what I was looking for in a partner and didn't just focus on setting up "next dates." She understood that finding the right match is about much more than just going through the motions.

One thing I really appreciated about Trisha was her ability to ask thought-provoking questions. She went beyond the surface level and delved into what truly mattered to me in a relationship. It was evident that she was dedicated to finding a partner who would complement my personality and values.

What sets Trisha apart is her enthusiasm and energy. The matchmaking process can be quite daunting, but Trisha made it exciting and enjoyable. Every time she called, I couldn't help but get excited. Her bubbly nature was contagious, and it really lifted my spirits during the entire journey.

Honestly, I can't help but wonder why I didn't have Trisha sooner. She has completely changed my perception of IJL, and I am now confident that I made the right decision in choosing their service. Trisha has a talent for what she does, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have her as my matchmaker.

Thanks to Trisha's dedication and personal touch, I am now looking forward to each step of this process, and I genuinely believe that she will help me find the perfect partner. IJL is indeed fortunate to have Trisha on their team because she single-handedly saved them from a potentially critical review from me. I highly recommend Trisha R and It's Just Lunch to anyone seeking a genuine and delightful matchmaking experience. Kudos to Trisha for turning things around and making this journey worthwhile!
