I installed Prodex insulation with no problems. I was able to install it by myself, using a staple gun.
We purchased 5 rolls of Prodex ($1400+) a few months ago and finally began installing it. While the insulation quality of Prodex works very well, the statement about "Does not provide for nesting of rodents, bugs or birds" is most definitely NOT true. Very quickly after we started installing it (stapled to the inside of existing barn), we began to see holes where rats chewed through the material and we saw rats crawling behind it. In addition to this, small flakes of the foil periodically fall into the hay that our animals eat. As a result, we have to look for these flakes and get them out of the hay prior to feeding our animals. The whole reason we purchased this insulation was to help with the extreme radiant heat issues we have in our barn. We will have to remove the one roll we have installed. While I was suspicious rats would still chew through this, I made the mistake of believing the description given on the Insulation4Less website and went on with the purchase. If anyone contemplating the purchase of this material has any degree of rodent issue, save yourself the money and DON'T buy it. Or, you will have to take additional steps to be sure rodents cannot get to the material because they WILL chew it.
One more thing... when Insulation4Less tells you "All sales are final", you can absolutely trust them on that! While some companies will make exceptions (especially if you can show them an issue with one of their products), you can rest assured that Insulation4Less is not Costco when it comes to customer service! I have even offered to drive the remaining 4 rolls 180 miles to their location and asked for a small fraction of a refund... Nope.
I use their products through out my projects from the crawl space and basement floors, to all my walls, and I even install it in attics.
What a bunch of idiots. Honestly how they are still in business is beyond me. They charge high amounts for shipping then hide behind their terms and conditions you have no choice to opt out of in order to place an order. Fed Ex decides it is much easier to remove a package from their truck than to try and deliver it because they did not think I would be available to receive it. This is after 4 day of delays that were Fed Ex's fault. I would highly recommend purchasing products elsewhere. My business partner found them online and while the first order was delayed it did not cause much grief. The second order for what should have been realitively easy since it was 2 boxes of adhesive which had to be shipped seperately for some reason resulting in much higher shipping costs was screwed up from the begining by Fed Ex. I had multiple delivery date changes and finally once the package was on the truck to be delivered it was then removed from the truck because they thought I would not be available. Instead of Insulation4Less being progressive about there shippers responsibility and trying to make things right they chose to just be captain obvious and state that I agreed to the terms and conditions when I placed my order that they were not responsible for the shippers delays. WELL GUESS WHAT THE SHIPPER COST YOU FUTURE BUSINESS AS I WILL NOW BUY MY PRODUCTS ELSEWHERE.

We like the Prodex and the overall look. It went up relatively easy and did not require a lot of tools to complete.
This insulation is so easy to install, and makes a huge difference. The garage is so much warmer now.
Had a great experience and easy to figure my needed insulation on the website
Very surprised, after installing the insulation in my barn roof my temperature dropped between 10/15 degrees. I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
What a Difference! The yurt stays warm & cozy in the cold and cool in the summer heat. It came quick. No nonsense.
THE MATERIAL WORKS WELL IN OUR TRAILER. WE USED THE GLUE THE NAILS TO THE WALL AND SECURE WITH WASHERS.
Great product. Easy to install, so much better then normal insulation & looks great & keeps building warm.
Insulation 4 Less was on point, helpful, and on time. The products are great too. No surprises, great price and wonderful services.
They give you everything you need to install and it's extremely easy to do. Email communication is quick, which is important to me too
Excellent company to purchase from, prompt responses to emailed questions, and an excellent product.
In have used Prodex insulation in my home and garage. It is easy to work with and a great job of insulating from heat and cold.
Excellent product!. I was able to install it without professional help and my garage cools easier now
Excellent: I manage a 13k sq. Ft. Office building with steel roof, 7ft head space over hard lid decking in ******* Zip. We use 7 5 ton AC units to cool in 100F temps.
AMAZING: After installing in 25% of building (self-contained roof) at 105F outside under the steel temps have dropped from 133 to 93 and on the deck temps from 108 (uninsulated) to 95 after insulation.
YES: a 40F drop under the Prodex sheet installed on the metal rafters - and a 13 degree drop on the deck- this with only 50% of the space converted -- I believe we will see a 20F drop on the deck.
Prodex is easy / clean / safe to use. I'm recommending it for all steel roofed Southern California buildings.
Summary: Prodex has given our building a 15% lift in Cooling capacity. That is - we are able to cool in extreme heats where we lost the building before, and are reducing electricity usage in normal days. WIN WIN WIN.
Oh -- road noise transmitted through the uninsulated roof is considerably dampened -- tenants state the building feels tight now - the ceiling is not pushing heat down.
I needed insulation between my living space and my garage, which had old batt insulation falling down and falling apart- so basically no insulation. I looked at new fiberglass batt and was unimpressed. Tons of protective gear to install and only moderately effective- and that's only when it's new. I'm not crawling into the upper reaches of my garage more than once, so fiberglass was out. I looked at foam but ruled it out for cost. When I found Prodex, I was a little skeptical, I admit. I ordered samples (yes, they do that) and even then was unsure it would really do as they say.
I installed the first couple bays and realized it really was pretty easy. Start at the top, lay it out all the way down the studs, cut and then staple it. I would recommend a good stapler, you'll get tired hands soon if you use a regular "Arrow" standard version. Also, the foil tape is important to get a good seal. Order through Prodex or from local hardware store. I chose to get it from local store so I could control how much I bought and could return what was unused.
Besides not having to wear tons of protective clothing (in summer, in my attic of my garage...) there were so many advantages to the installation. It was easy to cut, easy to move around, easy to get into high and far away places.
I've noticed a dramatic difference in the living space now especially in the winter. I know the room is cooler in the summer, but the main discernable change is the winter temp. The Prodex ended up being really affordable, in the end. I needed one roll of the insulation and a bunch of the foil tape but the whole project came way under $300. No way I could have replicated that with fiberglass batt.
I installed proddex before adding a metal roof on my home. It has made a huge difference in temperature. I definitely recommend it.
I installed the prodex in my attic over the existing insulation and has made an extreme difference in heating and cooling my home.

Our statement "Does not provide for nesting of rodents" is accurate. Rats and other rodents actually make a home to give birth in fiberglass insulation! Our statement does NOT read: "rats cannot bite through."
Warning - Anyone with a rat infestation, get a couple of cats or hire an exterminator. Rats can bite through virtually anything.
