The delivery of ads is unsatisfactory. I chose several countries for my ad to run in. More than once, the analytics showed that the ad impressions all came from one country. You have no choice in the country, Instagram decides that for you. No idea if Instagram arbitrarily decided what interests the target market has too. If you do not get enough clicks, or you do not meet your advertising goal, Instagram does not care, There is only a surevy at the end of the advertising. No one follows up and the same problem happens again and again.
I finally quit advertising when Instagram charged me despite pausing my ad, supposedly for some problem with ad spending limit. I checked my account, I didn't set any limit that prevented the ad from running. And why should I be charged when my ad was paused and shown to no one? Of course, there is no complaint channel again and no follow up.
Instagram does not care about customer satisfaction and you can forget about getting any customer service here if anything goes wrong.

On top of a terrible customer support base, where you can never get in touch with a human or get a response to anything that is actually typed out to them as a concern (several times I have tried to type out a concern and nobody ever got back to me, years later.).

The algorithm will just randomly kick women off, banning them for anything that is less than a t-shirt and shorts. Beware posting a bikini. Insta will think you're selling STD's if you do!
Nude artist, model, or photographer? Instagram algorithm will ban you with no warning, despite it being art. They think everything that isn't rated E is the devil.
Why won't they just make accounts not 18 and up, unable to see those who verify 18 and up, and stop punishing their own users, who keep people online and viewing, for being themselves? Shadowban my $#*!. I honestly hate this whole app and site. I've lost 2 accounts now with several followers that I worked HARD for because of their algorithm thinking my nude photography is prostitution or something.

1.) I try to contact the Instagram staff often with the issues I find. DMs with images will double post constantly, both from sender and receiver, not an internet connection issue.

2.) Notifications are flooded when a single user goes through your account, so it'll spam you and you'll lose *******@mention conversations you're having. Sometimes, there's an update that will group different users who like a recent post, but for some reason, it will disappear and you'll be spammed by Like notifications again.

3.) Apparently, IG has audio calls now. Want to know how I found out? Some random people, who I don't follow, were able to add me to a group, then several of them started calling me for 30 minutes straight to troll me for fun. It was so odd. I had to manually go into my settings to turn off this feature that I had NO IDEA even existed.

4.) Algorithm is trash. I see so many content creators who are phenomenal and yet they struggle to get noticed. They end up leaving IG because they re-post their content to other sites with decent algorithms and will build a following QUICKLY and MORE than their IG accounts. IG needs a wake-up call. Maybe they should enable random people to audio-call them with critiques since they loved allowing calls from total strangers to their users.

There's several other issues here and there, but those are the bigger ones.

The feedback feature seems like it puts your comment right into a digital shredder. You never hear back from anyone.

If this was a Platform for free speech. Why so much sensorship? Heck I'm not even able to have multiple accounts and look into each of them in a 24 hour time period!

I want to share my recent experience with a party planner I hired for my son's birthday celebration on June 3rd, 2023. Events By Gerardo Cortez or (eventsby_g.c) I paid in advance for a party setup and decided to just have him create a balloon garland for our back drop. I ended up having significant communication issues with the planner.

I initially reached out via Instagram to confirm details but received no response. When I followed up via text, I was mistaken for a new client, but the planner assured me my order was scheduled for drop-off when they realized who I was. However, further attempts to confirm details were met with silence.

On the day of the event, despite multiple attempts to contact the planner, I received no updates or responses. It was only when I requested a refund close to noon due to the lack of service that I finally received a response. Unfortunately, the reply was dismissive, stating that they were too busy to respond as per my convenience.

It's now been over a week since the party, and I haven't received the refund nor any response from him. I wanted to share this experience to caution others when hiring party planners in the future. Always make sure they have good communication and reliable service before making payment.

So, I wanted to open an Instagram account. With an email address from a complete new domain.

Directly after clicking the submit button for the last time during setup I've got the message that my account isn't following the Instagram rules and I it was disabled.

To proof that I was a real person I needed to write certain things on a paper. Take a selfie on which my hand also would be visible (and everything should be possible to read... Ever tried to do this? Almost impossible).

I did send the selfie only to receive the most short impolite email from Customer "Support" ever back.

Of course the photo was denied as it didn't follow their rules. My arms are simply not long enough to completely add my hand and a readable text. But a part of my hand was on it.

In the email there was no explanation how to change it. No signature. No just a declined new account.

The email came with a FB logo. Why on earth for another company, although it belongs to you, with a FB logo?

I myself work in a manager position at Customer Support and this support was not existing.

There needs to be something done against companies like this. Business owners need them, private people want them, and they can do what ever they like. This should be stopped. Or by a new app like them where or they have to change their rules and have customer support that helps people and not like this.

Any comment is marked as spam. Reporting racist comments against white people somehow isn't spam and is ok. Another trash liberal agenda company

Instagram always blocks all of my comments and then shut my page down for 48 hours to sometimes a week just because people like Kim Ogg, the Harris County District Attorney don't want me to comment and let people know the truth about the Justice System, so she lies and Instagram automatically shuts down my page for me p I posting the same thing that I've been posting for over two years without being shut down before... The only difference is that now Kim Ogg is running for District Attorney again and called in a favor to the people of INSTAGRAM... THOSE WHITE PEOPLE HELP EACH OTHER OUT. I BET YOU IF I WAS TELLING PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR HER THEN MY PAGE WOULD NOT BE SHUT DOWN.

I am a small business and attempted to gain users at which I was initially doing at a pretty good rate on my own. All of a sudden I start receiving these messages that they want to limit how often I do certain things such as remove those I follow that aren't interested in following my business or gaining additional followers. They thought I gained too many too fast and accused me of using another service to gain those followers. This is totally WRONG. I do everything on my own and am just trying to get a good start. I went into the help page function and watched their video which promoted Instagram's ability to connect businesses. What a joke! They hinder businesses and prevent me from gaining followers for my business. I won't last much longer using this tool - it is truly annoying. Every day, they allow me approx 10 - 50 new followers and they constantly prevent me from deleting more than a few that choose not to follow my business. I have a small business where I create and sell art and in turn, take the proceeds to donate to animal rescues. My business is on etsy.
