I placed my order 4 days ago and was just notified 2 hours before delivery that more than half of my orders were not in stock. Don't waste your time this service sucks...
We received an order tonight. We are missing quite a few items and was overcharged. I don't know if it is the shopper or the app. I am disputing the charge with American Express as there is no way to contact instacart. The shopper texted me and kept the communication going but the wrong items and missing items aren't acceptable. This was my first experience with instacart. A royal pain to straighten out the charges.
I just started shopping for InstaCart and their shopper support is awful. The debit cards don't all work the same at each store so you end up having to figure out each store's systm. Their rating system is not consistent and when you try to get them on a support chat or phone all they do is tell you they understand. Typical for a company that is not based in the USA and has language barriers. They literally just end the chat sessions with you without solving your problems.
I have tried for four days to purchase items as early as 5:00 in the morning and it is always "unavailable this time because all our delivers/shoppers are busy." Finally gave up.
I just started using instacart for the first time yesterday. I ordered from a store and before the shopper started shopping my items I wanted to add another item to my list. I followed the instructions in the FAQs to add an item and it ended up duplicating my order. So that is the first problem... got charged twice for the order. The second problem is that one shopper tried to cancel the extra order for me and couldn't. The second shopper that actually shopped my items either stole my groceries or delivered them somewhere else. So I paid for 2 grocery lists full of items and got NOTHING for it. The guy marked in the app that he delivered to my house and I was right there. He didn't! I tried to call instacart and there was a 2 hour hold, but I decided to do it while playing games with my kids. After 2 hours someone goes to answer my call AND THEY DISCONNECTED THE CALL!... before I could ever talk to the person. I have sent 5 emails and no one responds so now I will blast them with bad reviews until someone from instacart gets in touch with me to make this right! Beware when you use instacart!
Thought I ordered from Kroger direct. Got 7 texts saying my order was delayed then personal shopper text saying my order was started then a text at 945 saying the store was closed and they didn't know what would happen. I got texts until 2 am saying my order was enroute. Next morning they said I needed to cancel and reorder... basically go to back of the line sucka! Never again. I'd rather fight covid-19 than deal with this circus act.
So first time user of instacart shopping at Smiths.
My shopper decided to add a ham to my bill and he delivered my groceries on my porch and took the ham home. He was overly nice filling my order trying to make sure I got everything on my list and more... dinner for his family without my permission!
I tried to call instacart on the phone to tell them what happened and they said my wait time was 59 minutes. After listening to their crap music for 40 minutes, a voice came on stating my wait time was 56 minutes. Seriously!? Waited an hour and the voice came back on and said my wait time was back to 59 minutes! Seriously don't EVER use insta cart! They are a JOKE! Driver was a thief and obviate knew he could get away with it because he can't be reported. How convenient and what a scam instacart is!
The man who was getting my groceries was non responsive and then brought me the wrong groceries, one of which was mushy avocados that had gone bad. I called Instacart to go get my money back and was waiting for over 2 hours to speak with them, only to have them disconnect the line before I could speak with anyone.
I tried using them twice. The first time my order never made it to my house. It took hours for them to finally just tell me they were cancelling my order. I barely made it to the store for my dinner groceries after their cancellation. When I finally did go to use their promo code for first time users, the $10 off never applied. Why? Because you have to order $35 worth of food - which is fine! But they did NOT disclose this in the fine print, so you just have to guess? I assume? Shady business altogether. I'll be trying different grocery delivery services.
My order was marked complete before I could meet the delivery person and collect it. I've reported a complaint but haven't heard back from them yet.
Its 7:37pm AKA 4 HOURS LATER than delivery SHOULD have been. They STILL havent cancelled my order! Well they are only going in one direction, DOWN! And fast! This is exactly why you guys have a poor business model and CLEARLY Dont care about taking care of your customers. Dont get me wrong, I totally get that covid-19 has thrown us ALL for a loop but we ARE DEPENDING YOU TO HELP US FEED AND AND TAKE CARE OF OUR FAMILIES! I'm in Customer Service too and I would NEVER put my customers through what you guys do and by your lack of action you dont care about the outcome! COULDN'T give 0 stars or I would have! This company is crap! I placed an order and the shopper didn't get an item I have been calling for 2 days to trying to get a refund and emailing to what do they do? Give me credit for my next order which I did not agree to i wanted my money back haven't received it yet probably won't! I would NOT recommend this company stay away from them THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!

This was my first delivery and I was charged for a delivery. The ad said the first delivery is free. Also with the virus scare, I would have thought the driver would have worn gloves to deliver my groceries.
The food was delivered quickly (within 30 mins) and every thing was fresh except the mushrooms which were a little old

Wish I'd read reviews of this company and their service before I made the mistake of using them for a Shaw's Supermarkets order. Waited two days for my original $120 order to be picked and delivered, only to have the end order of $85 worth of food delivered to somewhere other than my house. No response from their email or chat support, and gave up trying to reach them through their 800 number after more than an hour on hold. Will be contacting my bank to have the charge canceled, and filing complaints with my AG's office and the BBB.
I had a 64.00 credit on my account they would not let me use it all at one time. When I called for missing or outdated items that got upset and locked my account so I cannot use it eating the money. Never leave a balance for missing items on account demand a refund because they eat the balance
Very bad company to work for... deactivated my account due to allegations that I nevery delivered orders! Bull crap... I am a honest person. Past couple of weeks were told to leave the groceries o. The front porches. During the corona virus hmmmm people could have stole them but never me!

Two stop and made $8 wow now this hurts so bad I went to a corporate office and had to park at the bottom go to the 14th floor deliver a cake did not get a tip then I went to another lady's house that I had to hit the expressway in Buckhead and she gave me one dollar tip and I made eight dollars for both of those trips like 20 minutes away from my home.$8 For Two trips To different shops. Instant cart care more about there customers than there shoppers.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
