Consistently Awesome!
March 18, 2020

I consider Instacart as one of our nation's first responders. I've used Instacart for almost 7 years and never had an issue. They are consistently on time and the quality of groceries I receive are excellent. Recently with the Coronavirus pandemic, Instacart has been stretched to their limit, yet I still get my orders delivered in a reasonable time and they provide good replacements for items that are not available. I love you Instacart! I'm your forever Fan! Keep up the GREAT work!

During this scary time of covid 19.It is important to send personable delivery drivers and this is not happening in Agoura hills. Has any one had this experience?

1st mistake, Instacart is a third party, not affiliated with local grocery stores. Instagram double charged my credit card $210.00 for $83.00 actually spent. And I had 1 item missing that they charged me for. I ordered 43 items and they only delivered 20 items. Their prices they charge consumer are outrageous. They home up prices the actual sore prices are lower. What crooks! I will not use instacart again.

March 13, 2020

Placed an order, tracked my shopper shopping, then had a different shopper shopping, messaged both of them twice to no avail. My order disappeared. Paid but never received my order

Placed an order for delivery between 7-9 pm yesterday. Received notification that the order was being shopped at 6 pm. Just after 8 pm I received a text that my order was delayed and would be delivered between 9-9:30 pm. Waited up till 11 pm with no response to my inquiries about the status of my order. Woke up this morning to see that my delivery day has been changed to Saturday (order was placed on Thursday). Called the company to see what the problem is, and was told by the automated attendant to expect a wait time on hold of 59 minutes. I'm done. I've wasted hours on something that was supposed to save me time.

If you use Instacart for the first time and you get a large order, they immediately put a hold on your account to deactivate it, charge your credit card, and then won't let you reset any passwords until you send your full picture ID and credit card pictures along. Nope. No thanks. Terrible customer service. Bye bye.

I paid for the Instacart service for one year! The people that brought my items were great. The problem come in on the charges. I am a member at Sam's Club for way too long I order most of my items, but I want fresh fruits and veggies so I joined Instatcart for these. Well I know what I pay for them at Sam's. The cokes cost me $21.38 Sam's then Instatcart charged me $26.98. No that is a $5.30 markup for them. I complained to Sam's and Instatcart. Sam's will check this out. Instatcart I really do not think anyone knows. This is the or one of the answers I got. In store is different. No not Sam's Club! Items might not be on sale. I was not looking for sale prices. Everyday prices! Coupons, Sam's does not accept coupons! I really feel this is a company that no one should use. The delivery people were Great, I would be proud to recommend them to anyone. They have no control over what this rip-off Instatcart charges.

I signed up for the free trial it give it a try since I work full time, have a toddler, and a baby on the way. I decided that it wasn't for me because the shoppers did not communicate with me at all about certain items that were not available, and gave alternatives that weren't comparable. I cancelled my subscription. To my great surprise they continue to charge me for the subscription even though I cancelled it. I even went to the Apple subscriptions list to make sure that it wasn't still in there and it wasn't. I tried to see if there was something on the app stating that I still had the subscription. My profile showed that my card information was not saved to my account, yet I had been charged for 5 months after I unsubscribed. I had to call them to see what was going on. They stated that there was an auto-renewal after you cancel your subscription that you have to turn off to not get charged monthly... NOWHERE DOES IT STATE THIS OR GIVE YOU THE OPTION TO TURN THIS OFF! They only refunded the last month so I have to dispute the other months that they unlawfully charged me with my bank. I would recommend for every person considering this app to steer clear. Try amazon instead. There's definitely more accountability and transparency there.

I used this service 5 times. The first 4 times went smooth. On the fifth time, my bill came up to $295.00. The driver was trying to check out of the store and was told that the instacart system was down. They already took my money but he said there was nothing he could do about proceeding with the delivery. So he had to leave the groceries there and they cancelled order. I understand that the system can go down but be aware of this. If you are using you last bit of money to get groceries and you are counting on them being delivered, there is a chance you won`t get them and your last bit of money will be held up until they decide to release it. Meantime little Johnny and Susie can`t get their mac and cheese because that was the last of the money. Still waiting for refund to bank 3 days.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!
March 5, 2020

Several Phoenix stores use this service and there has NEVER been a good delivery service! Food products are not delivered, driver says no items in store (yet when you call the store they say they DO have items in store) Frozen foods not delievered frozen or even cold. Fry's, Publix, Safeway, Costco, all use this service and they always divest themselves of problems, they blame Instacart. Insta cart does NOT provide an itemized list of what is ordered in comparison to what is delivered. Drivers always trying to upsell products, ie; get more expansive itens when they can't find the ordered item. My sister is handicapped and ordering her food staples is impossible becasue these stores keep using an very inferior delivery service.

Just disappointed with the communication and lack of trasparency. My receipt from instacart was $317.89 but the bill they charged ws $405 about a 30% increase on me going into Cosco to shop myself. I called right away to report it. They did not reimburse for the difference. They say that is because their are different prices and those are the online prices they charge I asked them to adjust the bill to reflect the actual costs I paid for that shopping trip they said I needed to look at their regulations and disclosures. Think it is ok to shop with them as long as you understand you could be getting different pricing then in actual store. I would rather save the $88 and shop myself if I knew this was the case.

Worst service ever
March 3, 2020

This service is not a good service they would not let me choose the location where I want the shopping to be done. The location that was set up automatically is a dirty location and never have groceries or products. I'm very disappointed with this service will not recommend it to anyone Also there is a tip already set up and a service fee on top of paying for the delivery. Not good at all
The shopper kept changing what I ordered the problem is I'm a vegan I dont eat a lot of things she was changing the items to non vegan items bad it was all bad.

Big Rip Off
March 2, 2020

My bill from Costco was $37.54. Instacart billed each food item at about 1/3 more than what the Costco receipt showed, so my credit card was actually charged $47.92. There was no warning that this would be done. I added a pix of Costco bill here but am unable to attach the higher Instacart bill because it only shows up when I opened my credit card online. I would not be aware of what happened had I not went to my credit card site. The delivery man did not give me their bill but instead had me sign on a phone pad with no bill attached. Never again!

I've used Instacart several dozen (if not a couple hundred) times. I'd say it was frustrating in one way or another a good 20% of the time. Recently, it is so frustrating that you will lose years of your life and probably die early of a heart attack due to infuriating shopper/delivery service. The typical 2-hour delivery window is now a 2-day window; I kid you not. I don't know if they have lost many shoppers, but the ones I've dealt with recently are chronically late and (maybe because they are expected to shop up to 3 orders at once) and you often end up with 1/2 of your order and 1/2 of another customer's order. Don't waste your time. You could have gone to the store and back 5 times and not pulled out 1/2 the hair on your head.

Total Rip Off
March 2, 2020

I've been using instacart for over a year a few times since I stopped driving. At first it was great. I always gave a cash tip and a small tip on the check out.
I noticed I never got the same shopper or delivery person. There were really bad mistakes in items, expired milk, replacing item with huge item for a family size, dented cans, broken eggs, that's a short list. Instacart did refund a few items. But then they added on the "heavy item" fee! All groceries are heavy as we all know. This heavy fee does not go the delivery person, I was responded to from instacart it was an administration fee? Say what?
What a low life company, these fees should be for the delivery person that carries this stuff to my home and from the store. I hope we get a better option than this greedy sleazy company.

Looks like a scam
March 2, 2020

Nothing you want is in stack. May be just me so unlucky, but everything I order, offered replacement items, which I don't need. Delivery fees exaggerating, even for pick-up. That was my first and last Instacart try.

My first 2 shoppers were ladies and they did a great job. The last 2 were men and they couldn't find what I wanted even when I knew the items were there. I had just seen the items in the store myself. I just feel like I'm wasting my yearly fee because I have to go to the store myself. Also I had put in specific directions on how to get into my building and the shoppers say they can't see those directions. The system needs work. Not happy

I placed an order with Instacart today
I placed an order with Instacart today (2/29/2020) from Costco. I ordered 3 25# bags of rice at just over $78.00 and a pack of nasal spray at just over $22.00. I was realy after the rice as My Costco was out of it as I was there earlier today. I did forget the spray and that is why I added this item. When I placed the order, they notified me that the 75#s of rice was not going to happen. I tried over 15 times to cancel the order with no response. I did not want to pay a $10.00 service fee and tip for a $22.00 item. Sure enough the $22.00 item was delivered on time at just over $22.00 plus the $10.00 fees. Now my $22.00 item cost me $32.00 and there is no one to talk to or hold accountable. I give them a BIG FAT 0 on customer service! Don't get scammed like I was!
