The 5 hour time frame was honored. Lots of substitutions due to stores being out of things. But I got 2 different types of honey and there seems to be no recourse.
I ordered groceries about a week ago... the guy that got my groceries (Ramiro R.) bought himself 2 protein powders for 75 dollars and a shaker bottle for 10 dollars and put it on my card. I have done everything i can to reach instacart and they have never replied. Forget calling them because they will never answer your call. This is the worst experience and i highly recommend not using them unless you want to be stolen from.
DO NOT use instacart it's nothing but a perfect way to scam people they will charge for items never delivered and when you try and contact them it's impossible it saddens me to see how this company is taking advantage of the situation we are in to scam people out of their hard earned money in such a time of need it's disgusting!
Bad experience. First time user during coronavirus. Ordered a couple types of milk, 10 items total. The store only had 4. Fine, they are in demand. But I was charged for all 10. Plus, got no receipt and further, the driver ignored my instruction to leave the items by the door (due to health risk) and knocked and waited until I came to the door.
But the worst part: the awful customer service. I used their Report a Problem link... got no answer after 3 reports over 6 days. Finally I stopped payment on the $27 they owe me on my credit card (after 6 days). After several exchanges with their "customer service," they said to reinstate my acct I had to pay them back the $27 that they stole from me plus a $15 processing fee.
Never ordering from them again. Did not receive 14 of 24 items in my order! Yet, they still charged $15 for delivery and $6 for tip. Still waiting to see if the credit card gets adjusted for my order, because they charged me $100 extra in order to allow for adjustments! Never heard of such a thing. If they cannot deliver your order they should give you the option of a refund! Seriously... even in the middle of this pandemic... DO NOT USE THEM!
I was charged for a grocery delivery I never received. The Ralphs store said I need to contact instacart but the wait for their helpline is 117 minutes with no option of leaving a callback number. Their site also said that there was a way to chat with customer support, but there was no chat option. It's a scam so check with your grocery store to see if their delivery service uses instacart.
Beware of Instacart. They use a third party for any issues you have.
They also don't look after their employees with minimum wages and part time work to avoid insurance and overtime.
Instacart was scheduled to deliver our order from Fred Meyers between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm on 03/24/2020. At 8:44 PM we were messaged that there were delays and the groceries would be delivered by 11:30 PM. At midnight, we finally gave up waiting for the delivery. Instacart never delivered our groceries or contacted us again about the delivery. Now their website says that there is no driver listed for our order. We are working with our Credit Union to cancel payment.
I used Instacart for the first time yesterday as we are self-isolating for the corona virus. My personal shopper kept in touch with me by text, letting me know what items were out of stock and asking for approval for substitutes. He was pleasant and articulate and communication was excellent. The food was delivered to our front porch, and I was very pleased with everything. This service kept me and my husband from having to go out and possibly being exposed to the virus. I could not be happier.
So we placed an order through Kroger for 200 dollars worth of groceries and they said that the delivery would be same day by 7pm. It kept getting delayed over and over until they cancelled our delivery and said that WE had to call to reschedule it... not them... they took zero responsibility for any of this. But oh well, it's annoying but we called to try to talk to them and we waiting for over two hours last night, well past midnight, and had to hang up. I called again this morning and sat on hold for over two hours AGAIN and they never answered and actually HUNG UP ON ME! I tried to call back and it put me at the end of the call que. So I hung up and checked my bank statement where I saw that they were more than happy to STILL CHARGE ME! SERIOUSLY!? I am now calling my bank to cancel my debit card. I will never use this trash service and I honestly hope from the bottom of my heart that they go out of business. What a horrible business model and god awful service... I'm stunned and very, very angry...
Save your time and money. I was overcharged, and they couldn't provide a itemized receipt. Their customer service is nonexistent. I'm going to dispute the charges, and see if I can something legally done about it.
I placed an order last week & understand these are not ordinary times. The gave me a delivery date & time, between 4 & 6 today, Tues, 3/24. The sent a text saying they were runnIng behind & would deliver between 6:30 & 7:30. Then another text sayng 8:30-9pm. It is now 12:45 am. No delivery & no explanation or change of day. The store is only 15-20 min away. Where are my items?
So i just paid instacart almost $200 for groceries from Country Mart. The driver instead went to some discount grocery outlet not even affiliated with instacart. I've never heard of the store nor do i want food from some mystery discount outlet. She changed my order as she wanted as well. I have the receipt the shopper left in the bag with a bunch of stuff i never ordered.
My first order with instacart was so botched that I was given a $30 credit for the poor service. One would think that I would have learned from the first mistake, but no, I just had to try them again. The second time was worse; I received 4 text messages informing me that my delivery time had been changed and then I received a text stating that they were shopping for my groceries and a few minutes later I get a text that the store is closed. Needless to say, I've never received my groceries, I can't cancel or make changes to my order, I can't get through to anyone and they've charged my debit card. I highly recommend that Kroger disassociate themselves from instacart asap.
We were mislead that the delivery service was provided by Sam's Club. WRONG, Instacart is a company that now has our Sam's Club membership number and credit card number. They did not bring all our items and charged us for them. Lied to us and said we would not be charged for what we didn't get. Lied to us and said that the items were removed from our order. Now that we have learnt the truth and found this review site, take our warning and those also posted here that they are scam artist. No integrity, not professional, lacks customer service.
It is incredible to see this. I received my purchase on March 24,2020 from Publix (instacart express) and in one of those plastic bags with vegetables was a half bitten plum. The incredible and worrying thing about this, is that I don't order plums and that they come bite. I had to throw them away. I have the photo The publix postal code is *******

I made my first order from instacart today and my experience was horrible. My order never arrived but the app indicated the order was delivered.
I called customer service and was placed on hold for two hours. When I spoke to a customer service representative he told me the "shopper" made a mistake and offered to have the food delivered 5 hours later.
I still haven't received my refund.

This is the biggest BS service ever. Me and my husband placed an order on Sunday for Publix online, and the order was ready for pick up only Tuesday. The "shopper" started texting us 30 min before pick up time Tuesday that nothing was available. We already paid for it online 3 days ago, it was available then. If it was unavailable I would have picked another store! It is the biggest waist of time. I'm not paying for a teenager to run around in the store not finding what I ordered and already paid for. We ended up canceling the order and going to Publix ourself. Never using this service again!
These are absolutely the worst trained people I've ever delt with. Take an order on friday for Monday. 32 mins after it's due i get a text asking about purchase options. Wtf you were supposed to be here 30 mins ago. Workers are brainless and likely on drugs or just minimal IQ to try and attempt to perform the job. Train a money or a pig instead. Why Costco allows these morons to ruin their business to is beyond me. Next letter is to bad business decisions at Costco. Time to abort that mess quick. I can't share a photo as nothing ever came
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!

Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
