Don't do business with Instacart! I am a handicapped individual who lives in a garage apt. The last driver refused to deliver my groceries because "I lived in a barn" I don't live in a barn its a garage apt. And it kinda nice really. But the garage is shaped like a barn on a nice looking homestead brick home. She didn't know me at all but decided to insult me in the worst way and Instacart support would only call it an "inconvenience" I am furious, Its not first time their drivers have done a poor job and their support is atrocious. I'm done with them.

I'm in Jax Florida and this horrible shoper was so rude. All my eggs were broken, bread smashed n smell of weed all on bags and delivery lady. Her name was Sarina Cuevas. When she pulled up she had music blasting some rap n smelled strong. Never use this person if possible. I think she's stealing too. Had a few double items I did not get. Now I just pick up curbside.

They will give me $9.89 off on my next order. Wow! Spoiled Salmon was the bait to insure return shopper. Rotten ploy. They are a bag of assorted problems.

I am beyond pissed with this company I made 12 orders with them within a week time frame and i can tell you I had a problem every last order and most was them delivering to the right spot but failing to read in the notes that I would like my stuff to be delivered and handed directly to me becouse sums in my building being thieves well they left my stuff outside and when I would contact support they pretty much said I was lieng and deactivated my account so pretty much I gave that company $1200 for nothing.

I placed a $300 grocery order with instacart this morning.
I fell asleep waiting for my driver to arrive.
When I woke up 25 minutes later I had a text message stating that the driver was in front of my house and that I needed to acknowledge Him in order to get my groceries at first I thought I had really messed up however after checking my ring video cameras the driver was never anywhere near my house.
I contacted both Kroger on instacart East company said I needed to contact the other.
Turns out he was never at my house he cancelled the order and kept my groceries and there's nothing anyone can do about it and I have to wait 7 to 10 business days for a refund of my $300 grocery order
The craziest part is the driver has the ability to cancel my order and keep my groceries but instacart the entity with which I place the order with doesn't have the ability to have my order refilled to say this is a flaw in the system is an extreme understatement
My husband works in the Auto industry and as everyone knows there is a massive semiconductor chip shortage which has led to massive Auto industry layoffs I cannot afford to wait 7 to 10 days for my grocery money

I use to work for Instacart and now just get stuff delivered from time to time I enjoyed working for them until the pay decrease, past shoppers know what I mean. All I can say is they ripoff the workers and the costumers. I have the express savings and i just realized it doesn't save $#*! lol I see how y'all be tweaking the apps to make sure know matter what, THEY get there moneys worth not the buy or work for them. I didn't want the delivery fee so I put more stuff in my account, only for the delivery fee to change and wants to charge me more than I originally wanted. Took me a minute to see it but yeah dumbass feature.

DO NOT USE INSTACART IF YOU CAN HELP IT. DISABLED PEOPLE STUCK AT HOME MIGHT NEED IT. MAYBE THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE. THEY USE UNBELIEVABLY DUMB PEOPLE WITH NO ENGLISH SKILLS AND NO BRAINS. THE SHOPPERS WILL SUBSTITUTE ITEMS WILLY-NILLY NO MATTER YOUR INSTRUCTIONS AND WITHOUT TELLING THE CUSTOMER. THEN THE DELIVERY IS EITHER WRONG OR 2 OR MORE HOURS LATE SO THAT FROZEN ITEMS HAVE GONE SOFT. THE CUSTOMER SERIVE IS OUTSOURCED TO A COUNTY WITH ACCENTED PHONE WORKERS WHO ARE SLOW AND DON'T GIVE A DAMN.

SCANNING ID?

I ordered again from Instacart. Last time. While groceries were fine and delivery person kind, they insist on scanning my Driver's License in order I receive the alcohol I ordered. I showed my ID to her like one does in a bar, and she said it had never come up before (everyone else lets her scan their ID!). She texted her boss who insisted my ID get scanned. Nope, sorry. No more Instacart for me. Does Ubereats do that? I need a list so I shop elsewhere. I know Walgreens has that policy. Who else?

I have tried Instacart several times and every time I have to babysit the shopper through every step of the purchases, and then I still get incorrect items that I found it is faster to just go get the stuff myself. The shoppers don't seem to understand what Don't Replace means. They always try to replace what you ordered if the store is out of stock with the item you ordered with something else. They can't get it that you want what you want. I recently tried it again tonight because it was raining, and I didn't want to go out. After messing around for 1/2 hour with the shopper, I gave up and told him to cancel the order and I would go to the store myself. I went to the store in 10 minutes and I got everything I wanted. The trouble with Instacart is their shoppers don't know how to shop. I cancelled my Instacart membership today. No more wasting time.

Unacceptable
June 5, 2021

Ive ordered instacart before and had no problems till today. I placed an order for groceries at 2:50 pm this afternoon. Was given a time frame of delivery by 5 pm. ok no problem. Then it went to 530 then 6 then 7 and so on and now its up to 9 pm getting my order. I contacted instacart 4 times and was told that they are short on drivers ect. Same bull. 9PM? I had ordered stuff to make supper now i cant make anything for dinner because of this. Was told they expedited a shopper to be placed on it but never happened. And to boot they gave me a 15 dollar credit on my next order. I dont think there will BE a next order.

I worked for Instacart and did an instant payout for what I earned that week, I never received it or a second payout. I contacted them through email (because its email or text only) to let them know I never got the money and they told me I have to go to my bank and ask for a reimbursement because they deposited in some other account. What they are in essence telling me is it's my problem they screwed up and I have to fix. Of course my bank or any other bank isn't going to reimburse money they never received so I'm out $500. Plus gas and wear and tear on my vehicle. My advice is don't just don't work for these crooks.

During the pandemic, I used instacart to shop for groceries. There were frequent errors in my order and was told each time would be given a credit except for the many times they said they would and they did not. Almost two months ago ( now June ‘21), half of my order was left out but charged for full order. I immediately called customer service and was told would get a credit on my credit card. When I got my credit card statement, credit
Was not on it so called customer service again. They apologized and said would take care of it. Just received new statement and no credit! DON'T USE INSTACART! They deserve zero stars!

I did not authorize the membership but I can not prove it. I use instart a lot but do not want the annual membership. I saw the 99.00 and immediately canceled. They MAKE you keep the full year if you have placed any orders I had placed 2 and they didn't even waive anything because they were under 35.00. This was a very expensive lesson on a crooked company. If you cancel immediately they bill the full year even if their service sucks (it often does) don't get roped into it this isn't worth it.

Be warned... DO NOT USE INSTACART! My delivery of frozen foods and perishables through Instacart was delivered 1&1/2 hours early today. The driver did not knock at my door or ring my doorbell. Therefore, the frozen items fully defrosted and the refrigerated items were warm to touch once I discovered them on my doorstep at the expected delivery time. After reporting the issue through the Instracart app. I was offered a $5 credit for the $90 plus worth of lost items. Oh and they included instructions to change my order delivery instructions. Needless to say, I am not impressed with their resolution. I'm writing this to warn others, so that they do not experience the same appalling service. I hope that this helps.

I got a letter today that said my membership with instacart will renew. I immediately tried to cancel it and erased all of my credit cards off the site. I never liked their service. The were quick enough to get my $99 out of my bank so I had to call and cancel the charge and the service forever. Very sneaky company by not sending gout notice that they are taking my money for a renewal of a service I have not used in a year. Do not use Instacart! They conveniently sent the renewal out after they'd take the $$$ without my permission.

Instacart stole my money! By adding unauthorized sums to the final charge AFTER the order was complete. Ofcourse, tactically placing in VERY FINE print that the total was a TEMPORARY charge, So the receipt is NOT reflective of what was ACTUALLY charged.

WORST OF ALL, The product that was picked up and delivered to me was used and abused!. After much research, I realize that it's instacart workers habit to pickup returned items and tattered items at reduced price, pay LESS for the item, while charging shoppers like me the FULL advertised price for a NEW product, plus fees. I am DISGUSTED by this experience and Instacart mode of operation. The convenience is VERY luring, no doubt it's a needed service, but NOT in the manner that it is being done.

The delivery driver/shopper evidently knows she was bringing me crap, so she quickly grabbed her CASH "additional tip that I gave her" and ran off. I was so pleased with how quickly the item came that I didn't check the bag til I got upstairs. When I opened the bag, I realized something was wrong,... plugged the hard drive up and over 2 gigs of a strangers data, images, videos etc was on the drive. It as a RETURNED open box item. I had a deadline to meet, so I tried to keep it. This morning I plugged it up and my computer will NOT recognize this external hard-drive, "Most likely it's the same reason why the previous buyer returned it to staples" i. E. it shows up a little, then disappears.

Instacart operators are deranged criminals. I will NEVER use their service again or recommend them to anyone. UNLESS it's a dire emergency and you are willing to take the risk of losing money and getting a bad product. I'm sure there is a chance you may get LUCKY and get good service.

In fact, I am going to report this to the better business bureau, so that their reputation online will REFLECT what they are really doing. It's a needed service that is turning into a NIGHTMARE! I sent them a complaint immediately after opening the item and seeing it had data on it etc. NO RESPONSE! But had the audacity to send me a "HOW DO YOU RATE US" auto-email.

BUYERS BEWARE! I HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH MY INSTACART ORDER THAT I PLACED LAST NIGHT! I BELIEVE INSTACART ARE SCAMMERS! IMMEDIATELY AFTER I PLACED MY ORDER OF $16.76, I IMMEDIATELY SCREENSHOT MY ORDER THAT STATED, "Your MasterCard card was temporarily authorized for $17.60. Your statement will reflect a final charge within 7 business days of order completion". AFTER WAKING UP THIS MORNING, I CHECKED MY INSTACART ORDER AGAIN, WHICH NOW STATED, "Your MasterCard card was temporarily authorized for $30.00. Your statement will reflect a final charge within 7 business days of order completion". I WAS FURIOUS WHEN I SAW THIS, AND IMMEDIATELY CHECKED MY BANK ACCOUNT, WHICH NOW SHOWS 2 PENDING PAYMENTS OF $17.60 AND ALSO AN ADDITIONAL $12.40, TOTALLING $30.00! I CALLED INSTACART AND GAVE THEM A PIECE OF MY MIND. I WILL NEVER PLACE ANOTHER ORDER WITH INSTACART AGAIN IN MY LIFE! I ADVISE EVERYONE ELSE TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM INSTACART AS WELL, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT RIGHT AND CAN'T BE TRUSTED AT ALL!
