I placed a $300 grocery order with instacart this morning.
I fell asleep waiting for my driver to arrive.
When I woke up 25 minutes later I had a text message stating that the driver was in front of my house and that I needed to acknowledge Him in order to get my groceries at first I thought I had really messed up however after checking my ring video cameras the driver was never anywhere near my house.
I contacted both Kroger on instacart East company said I needed to contact the other.
Turns out he was never at my house he cancelled the order and kept my groceries and there's nothing anyone can do about it and I have to wait 7 to 10 business days for a refund of my $300 grocery order
The craziest part is the driver has the ability to cancel my order and keep my groceries but instacart the entity with which I place the order with doesn't have the ability to have my order refilled to say this is a flaw in the system is an extreme understatement
My husband works in the Auto industry and as everyone knows there is a massive semiconductor chip shortage which has led to massive Auto industry layoffs I cannot afford to wait 7 to 10 days for my grocery money
