Instacart combines batches in order for Company to make more money and give less to the shoppers. Instacart customers do not get a receipt because many times Instacart's prices are higher than the store's. Instacart will fire if the shopper ask customer service for the money you are entitled to you. Heavy delivery is often not included on a batch because that means more money for them and less for the shopper. Once the shopper realizes that the order follows the suggested requirements for heavy delivery, the shopper can text customer service to weigh the items for the heavy delivery "bump". Instacart will fire you when you ask customer service for the heavy delivery "bump" that is entitled to you. Once fired, they will send generic emails telling you that they "looked into the matter" when they clearly do not.
I'm very disappointed with the service of this website. Me and my mom just wanted to get a simple happy birthday gift- which was a bouquet of flowers* for her boyfriends mom. We ordered the flowers from Kroger on the instacart website to be delivered to her house in hot springs. We ordered these flowers at 1:00pm today and they told us that it would be delivered to her house around the time of 3:30-4:30 today. When we wanted to check where the flowers are or if they have been delivered by looking at the email much later than the delivery time, we see that they canceled our order and didn't even text, call, or emailed us to tell us that they weren't able to deliver our flowers and did not offered to see if we wanted to send a different bouquet. But what notice did we get that there were complications with our order? NONE!
I am disappointed with the poor Instacart service. Recently, I placed a pickup grocery order for the next day. I received a mobile notification 30 minutes before the pick-up time stating, "no one is available to shop." Furthermore, the notification message did not state an expected time either.
It is unprofessional and inconsiderate for Instacart to wait until pickup time to notify customers of "no service available."
I will not waste my time or money on Instacart again.
Bad service. Prices are high. I got a gallon of milk from costco instacart that expired on the same day. The instacart service person won't bring you all things in order. It's waste of money.
It's not bad enough that that all deliveries are wrong, they never call for substitutes either.( I have specified to get substitutes when necessary)
On my first order, I noticed that they had charged my card before a set amount much greater than the total cost of order. (Never mentioned it or ask for permission) ( Very sneaky)
Many of the shoppers they hire are clueless. I once ordered Chocolate chips for baking and they delivered some brand of choc. Chip Cookies. What?
In addition, if you call customer service, you are in for another adventure. They make up stories, in place of the truth and it's obvious. They are incapable of finding a solution to any of your concerns.
I'm frustrated so I say: Bye, bye Instacart.
The first time I ordered my groceries the app stated the groceries were delivered... I have looked out my door repeatedly and the groceries never were delivered. I called instacart to send out the groceries again instead of getting a refund. So the second go around I was missing pullups and Sara lee bread. So dissatisfied with their services. I wish there was another alternative to use besides instacart. I'm currently in quarantine and I need my things to be delivered to me to avoid going out spreading covid-19. So. Disappointed!
Instacart is a joke in my area. Tried twice to order and 5 minutes after the time they said they would deliver, I get a call saying they can't complete the order, but not to worry, they'll refund my money. No sh*t you'll refund my money if you didn't do the work. You have ONE JOB... ONE! Deliver stuff. When you can't deliver stuff, you need to be out of business. Apparently the drivers don't like working for them and I've found them to be a miserable failure, costing me time and money in having to run out at the last second and go get it myself. Now I just go get it myself. You can go bankrupt Instacart, I would never notice anyway. Cancelled account, gave them the remainder of the gift card balance just to not have them pretend to perform a delivery service.
So I applied for instatrash, GrubHub, and 3 other delivery apps. Instatrash said they couldn't hire me because of a misdemeanor receiving stolen property 5 years ago. I wrote them a separate letter and told them my past is behind me I'm a better person told my story they could have care less funny thing is I have a day job making very good money I'm just trying to invest some money so working for Uber GrubHub all them I was going to do whatever I could so f*** instacart good luck to people try to get a job because they have their news up at the air these people that hire you like people like myself that make mistakes can't live in their society you can't work in a society you can't associate with the customers in their society it'll do they know is one of their other employees I was actually using their card and going shopping for my fellow people so f*** them. These are the people that never made mistakes ever in their life and if you made a mistake God help you your judge for the rest of your life these are the people that want communism and socialism brought into your country I'd go and buy your own groceries and boycott these m************
I wasn't home to receive my pet food items, in July 2021, then inquired about it, told I would be getting a refund, but never got it. Sad! I'm not rich and live check to check.
I waited a day and a half for my groceries to be delivered to me in Oakridge, Vancouver. They finally sent me an email. It said," YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED."
No explanation. I live in a seniors building where elderly people rely on food delivery. I will never order from them again.
I will never use this service again. Groceries were delivered to a random house on the opposite street. I now have to go re- purchase my groceries while waiting on my 7-10 day refund.
The instacart employee/driver named kayo dfire should not be working for your company, because he threatened my life.
He called and right from the start was very nasty and indignant - he refused to bring the items up to the apartment and left all of the food in the driveway in front of the apartment.
He said that he was going to do me bodily harm and people such as this needs to be in jail!
I've only used Instacart a few times, and have not once had a good experience, regardless of purchasing items or groceries. And it's not only in my state! I was out of state visiting family over the holidays, and that time, I was delivered completely incorrect items - one of them being a top I ordered brought to me in the wrong size! Then, a shopper actually stole one of my grocery items. (I know it was theft due to his lack of response when I pointed it out.) Instacart clearly does not do a thorough job vetting their shoppers, and I believe that they don't much care. Why? Because one, these things happen frequently, and two, why should they care when they know so many of us rely heavily on it these days. Shame on them.
I am a disabled older woman at home I had used instacart because I had covid and I ordered groceries I was told they would hold $20 off my bank they ended up taking 30 I got no credit back the additional items I added should have been taken off with food stamps instead they took it off my bank card will not refund it or fix the problem
For the second time in my 3 months of using instacart they have way overcharged me and delivered nothing. Even worse I can't get anyone to respond to my inquiries, so I am left calling my bank to secure my money. I ordered 38 dollars of groceries got no groceries and my account was charged 238 dollars. I also shopped for instacart and I know there is no communication with shoppers they leave shoppers hanging. Just an all around bad company.
I only ordered from this company 3 times and all 3 were a disaster but the last took the cake. After corresponding with shopper regarding crazy substitutions (which I had already addressed in the notes) I waited 3 hours for my groceries. He notified me when he left so I could not understand why he had not arrived. The next text I got was a copy of the receipt where he had returned my whole order to the grocery store with instructions that I had to call the company for a refund. After holding for 35 minutes with Instacart on the phone I was given 3 options... 1) to reship (no!) (2) credit the Instacart account (no!) or (3) credit my credit card (yep!). I am done with this company. I gave them 3 chances and they could not redeem themselves. I would rather go to the grocery store myself on the day before Thanksgiving then deal with this company again.
When placing an order, you always get a window of time for delivery. I have yet to receive my order within that window. I always get an updated message apologizing for late delivery- usually 1 to 2 hours late. Hard to plan a day when constantly inconvenienced by their inconsistent time frame. This is supposed to be a convenient service, yet constantly inconvenienced
I cancelled my order because bit was placed at 4:41pm with and ETA of 6:15. At 6:30pm I received notice that my or was delayed and a the new ETA was 8:15pm. I noticed that at that time, there was no shopper assigned to my order yet, so I contacted Instacart. After being on hold for over an hr I noticed that Sherell was my shopper. I immediately messaged her to let her know I did not want the order (now it's 6:30) she agreed and she began refunding the 4 sandwiches I ORDERED BUT BEGAN ADDING HER OWN ITEMS. I caught the first item (life savers) and she quickly refunded it but she then proceeded to add Little Debbie cake, and as I was messaging her about that… she quickly closed out the purchase and immediately marked it as delivered. Sherrell was very dishonest. I had to report her to Instacart for stealing. I canceled, and instead of closing my transaction, she added candy, cake AND A TIP! Then closed out my order and marked it as delivered. WHICH IT WAS NOT… she had no idea that I was screenshoting the whole interaction between her and I. SHERRELL B. SHOULD BE FIRED! Instacart has since refunded me and provided me with a small credit for my experience.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
