They don't mention the currency is in U.S dollar, once the credit card info is locked in, your surprised with the exchange rate difference. It says an emails was successfully sent, but I never received it. Going to do the frustrating process now of getting my refund some how, any tips on that would be much appreciated.

Scammers don't get fooled

I booked a flight from Australia to India through insanely cheap flights. Their website came up and gave really good prices so I went ahead with the payment. After entering the credit card details and the money is deducted the website says all charges in US dollars. I was shocked to see 1675 deducted from my card when they made you believe that the fare was only 1140. Their customer service sucks. Really dodgy company watch out.

Do not Purchase!

You will not get a review. I have been on hold for over an 1 hour using two different phones trying to get a refund. This company does not offer refunds! I was told I would be connected to someone to help and I was always left on hold. They have stolen over $2000 from me. It is a scam!

Travel Ban

Due to the travel ban, I am unable to receive any refund through Insanely Cheap tickets. Their contact number is non working. Oh how convenient! I am trying to reach them through email. No response yet. I have used this website numerous times. I will no longer. Lufthansa asked that I contact them directly for a refund. I suggest that no one purchase tickets through them. Oh by the way, they are part of CheapOAir.

Horrible customer service
February 18, 2021

Absolutely lied too. After talking with 3 different people about a family emergency, each customer service rep passed the problem off. When i hot to the 3rd rep, i was on hold for almost 45 min. This got me into the time they closed. I got hung up on. Then i got an email that said, they tried calling me back and i didn't answer. (Which never happened) Long story short, i will never use a 3rd party to purchase anything again after this expierence.

Refunds they are bad news
September 24, 2021

Still getting nowhere with this company. Been trying almost a year now. Paid for a return flight, flight cancelled by covid. Then later had a one-way flight to same destination. And they claimed the total amount for full fare, been fighting for the rest of my money. They hang up on you they lie about many things to avoid the obvious... they have over $200 of my money and have only offered $50 and now $100 credit. They are bad news... apparently my refund is still pending, what a joke

If US business, they should be indicted. Hours on hold, repeatedly. Told confirmed. Next day, I was told the card was declined. Checked credit card company. They never ran the card. They LIE repeatedly. Act in Bad Faith. On the day of flight they say never confirmed. They try to raise the price from m $412-$521-$989. I asked to speak to someone in US, told I was being transferred, 40 minutes later, still in India with a supervisor. Told US would call, never did.

Absolutely not fair

When I make the reservation online, my name was repeated on my wife's reservation. In order to fix this situation, I paid $216.00 to make a new tickets. Actually, was not my fault, THIS is absolutely not acceptable. Costumers deserve respect. Untrustworthy site. One Travel is much better.We paid $2,681. Now in One Travel same flights $ 2,308. For the two of us. Very, Very disappointing.

SCAM ADVERTISING

They don't get back to you emails, their help line no longer works due to Covid, you cannot get a refund or change flights with them. False advertising that if you find cheaper flights within 24 hours you get a full refund. This also did not happen.

They took the money from the bank account before making any booking. Deducted imaginary figures that were not even quoted online. Did not book a flight and when contacted, they denied a booking being made through their company. Left us in limbo with a disabled child for hours in the airport struggling over the phone to get a flight or our money back but got none. Horrible customer service by Adam then Jenny who pretended knowing nothing about the money or the booking. When given the Booking Number on the email they sent, they denied it being their company's booking number. The company has been reported and an investigation is on the way. They are not located in Australia yet have a deceiving NSW phone number (02) *******. They have different names "Insanely Cheap Flights", "COA Travelspot.US Air Travel", "Insanely-Cheap-Flights.Pissed.Consumer". STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS

It a scam!

I totally agree with you. I have the same experience. When i made payment, it reflected a higher price. The worse is yet to come... whatever i paid is not it, they sent me an email confirming the booking and now another additional 80% of what i paid earlier as Government & Tax Fees. I called them to verify and compliant and they said they will give me some discount and the fee is still 60% of my 1st payment. There are so many bad reviews about them and please avoid this site!

Insanely cheap flights is the absolute worst. Stay away! I made two reservations with them and called to cancel one of them within 2 hours. They cancelled the wrong flight and they would not make it right without charging me for their mistake! I have been calling for 2 days and they just put me on hold indefinitely or promise to call back, but don't. I am reporting them for fraud. Stay away!

Their website is unclear and perform in an unethical manner. I chose dates and flights I wanted, then chose the option to view flexible dates (like Southwest has).

WITHOUT alerting me, the site chose different dates before I checked out. When I looked the next day, I realized dates were different (& did not work for me.) I called and their answer was to charge me either $200 to make changes, or $100 to get a refund. The claim was these fees were disclosed, which admittedly may have been in fine print somewhere. After an hour of arguing with the agent that the site should have told me the dates changed before I checked out, he reduced the change fee to $100. Although I am grateful, I feel this site is extremely shady by failing to notify you of changes, then charging you when you discover they were made. Btw, I was also told the only reason I even had the option to pay $200 to change was because I called within 24 hours of booking. The Indian agent kept warning me of the countdown "you only have 1 hr 48 min to make your decision."

Great Service

I had to cancel my bookings with Insanely Cheap Flights because I did not realize the flight was in USD. My mistake as its posted all over the website when booking. Anyways, I called the customer service line and someone picked up after two rings. I guess other people have been calling during the high volume times.(I called in the morning) The guy on the line was very friendly and tried to find me a cheaper flight for the times I wanted, but after not being able to find anything, cancelled my flight. He waited on the line with me until I confirmed the cancellation via email, and he then confirmed the cancellation on his end. VERY helpful. Too bad flying in Canada is so bloody expensive!

Well, we have had a medical emergency and I need to cancel our flight. I have also purchased insurance just in case of something like this. Well, it took the website 26 minutes to just answer the phone and then some guy got on the phone and told me he was going to have to transfer me to customer service although I'm pretty sure that's what he was. Well, it is now 1 hour and 30 minutes and still on hold with no answer in site! There has got to be someone somewhere regulating this!

Worst customer service ever. 866 toll free will not work from outside continental US. When finally found a phone that "worked" and after waiting required 20min for attendant, call was dropped or attendant did not hear me. They say they have live chat but that does not work either. They messed my itinerary. Stay AWAY

To bad 0 stars wasn't an option because I don't think they even deserve 1 star.

Booked 2 tickets and didn't realize I was being quoted in US dollars tell the next morning when I see a 1100$ charge to my card. While talking with customer service to cancel the ticket and get my money back, the rep on the phone somehow charged me another 525$ In the middle of our conversation. So now I'm out 1600$ and I can't get my money for another 7-14 business days and of course, had to pay a cancellation fee. I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and was denied that option. Fine whatever.

Later that week my Visa has two different charges of 565$ so I'm again charged another 1100$ total! Thank god VISA knows how to give proper customer service and come to a resolution because they gave me all my money back and I ended up getting a new visa so they would not have my information anymore.

I've booked many tickets on US websites but never ever had to through such an awful customer experience and such a hassle to get my money back.

After searching on there website what currency they use (USD vs CAD), I did go ahead with booking 3 tickets, still seeing the "free 24 hr cancellation" in front of me. Guess what? The whole process we could not figure out if the prices are in CAD (we live in Canada) it showed up in the end: "Your CC will be charged in USD. We could have got the same price on Expedia.ca for the same flight number in CAD. That's how they make money. We called our cc company and they deal now with them to get our 3x$75 back for overpriced flight tickets and **free cancellation**. And yes. I called the service 1 minute after booking. They are all scammers!

Such a scam
August 10, 2018

Just used this site to book a flight from Canada BC to UK thinking it was in Canadian funds. I phoned their customer service to cancel remembering that it read free cancellation under 24 hours, this is a complete lie, they charged $75.00 USD! The representative was very hard to understand and couldn't care less.
I will never use this site again!
