Sent old VHS cassettes of family events mixed in with taped movies not knowing what was really on them. They were able to take only the family tapings and organize them as we had instructed and upload them on line for us to view and share with family. They returned the VHS cassettes back to us promptly. Happy with the service and do recommend.
Most of our videos were converted without issue. One of them has lines on it as if someone didn't adjust the tracking on the VCR, if you remember that function. I sent it back to get re-done and some of the video was improved, but not all. A couple still have lines and one if very jumpy. Not sure what else can be done. At any rate, glad to finally have this done, although, I realized I forgot to send one in.

When I decided to submit my VHS tapes to iMemories, I was apprehensive as anyone might be. Upon ordering, the instructions they included were perfectly detailed and easy to follow. The turn around time was so short as in just a week or two. My tapes were delivered the same way. I would highly recommend iMemories.

The delivery process was simple & I really appreciate the communication with imemories on when they received and shipped our videos. The videos are all so nicely sorted and my family and I love that we can just use the app on our tv to watch our memories! The price is a little high, but it's so worth it to have your memories in one place and not vulnerable to damage!

It was easy to send my tapes to iMemories using the label they supplied to me. The turnover time was very quick. I was happy with the quality of the digitalized versions. It was also easy to share these precious memories with family members and friends.

My videos had no sound. I contacted them and was told that my videos were recorded with no sound. However, on one if you turn your volume all the way up, you can barely hear some patchy sound so I know they were recorded with sound.
Hi Cathie, Thanks for your feedback. The film reels we received were silent. This is very common with film reels as the audio strip wasn't introduced until the early 1970's. The cameras did not have built in microphones and the film that included the audio strip was much more expensive. You can look at the film reels themselves to determine if they have audio. We do this when the order is received and again when they are processed. A film with audio will have a gold or copper colored strip on the underside of the film, on the opposite side of the sprocket holes. I sent several 60 yr old 8mm films in to be digitally transferred. The process did not take long at all. Within approximately 4 weeks I received my notice that they were completed. It was easy to download and share with family members. I was very pleased with IMemories.
