Disreputable company. Typical social media scam. They lead you into thinking you can try the makeup for $5 …. BUT the very very small print says if you don't return it within however many days you get charged full amount. Then there's the extra extra EXTRA small print about subscriptions you have to jump through hoops to NOT accidentally sign up for. And customer service is sketchy at responding to emails, but will jump down your throat for calling them a scam. I've been told both that my order was unable to be cancelled, AND that it has been cancelled, so I don't know what to expect. I keep getting emails from them saying how happy they are that I'm a customer, even though I cancelled and tried to return my trial order as soon as I realized I was scammed. Unfortunately they have my credit card info and all these other reviews lead me to believe this isn't over. This company is a joke and a scam and had the nerve to tell me via email that they "will not tolerate" being called a scam. Yet they can't seem to operate legitimately, so… I learned a valuable lesson, which is to thoroughly research companies online before making such an egregious and regrettable error as trusting IL Makiage.
It's not a free trial I try to send mine back they said they would not charge my card and they still charge my card $86 that's been 3 months ago and I'm still trying to get it back now they don't even answer my messages so beware.

Saw an ad for Il Makiage makeup where they offer try before you buy. They charge your CC for the full amount, which they say is a hold and then will release the hold after 3-5 business days. Never got my product. They kept emailing me everyday saying my package was arriving but when I clicked on the tracking link and it was for a return? Tracking never updated beyond the one date. Then kept getting emails from Il Makiage asking me to review my order. I replied to them advising that I never received anything to review. A rep then emailed me back offering a refund and store credit. I have received 5 emails from them about store credits ranging from $10- $50 off. I have yet to use the store credits as I have not received my first order from them, what makes them think I will then continue to purchase from them?
It's the strangest foundation I have ever tried. It looked cakey and didn't cover up well at the same time. I tried multiple different hues and I looked jaundiced and sickly with all of them. It accentuated my pores and fine lines no matter what product I had underneath it. I just don't understand how this works for some people

I'm not sure how they've convinced so many people to lie, because this is the worst foundation I have ever tried. Not only was the color way too yellow, the foundation was very very poor quality. Streaky, patchy, dry, rubs off easily, and shows off every fine line and pore you never knew you had. Don't fall for it, it's NOT good makeup and all the positive video/reviews you've seen online are 100% lying.
Cannot even find any beneficial ingredients in an amount that would make a difference. The concealer did not match my skin tone. And i missed the mail back date by s day so calling today to see what if anything can be done.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. The product is horrible, smells bad n as soon as you open, smell the chemicals immediately n get the feeling of not using it. If you do use it, it is patchy n stains and worst part is the bottle leaks. I dunno why. I just tried it once n kept it back it got loose n started leaking. Totally not worth... n btw first sample is not free. I guess you need to return it else they will charge around 50 bucks... crazy! Just worst experience ever.
Did not like it, no coverage. Contacted company to return. Was charged they confirmed items were returned. After several emails was told refund would be issued. They refunded $5 not the $70 they charged. They also sign people up for subscriptions so more charges show up 1-3 months later. Big hassle to get things fixed. Do not recommend giving this company your credit card info.
I did the free trial like everyone else. You do need to sign up for automatic delivery. It clearly states that when you purchase it. I loved all my products and have bought again. They have even sent me free mascara and I loved it. There was 1 product that I didn't like and they refunded me no problem. I'm not sure why such a bad rating.
I waited for over a week to receive this product. The ad that I clicked on says free trial and is misleading. Hold was placed on my account before I ever received the product. They have no phone number, so I had to place an email and wait 24 hours, just to be told that will fall off after my 14-day trial. Excuse me! That is the same as charging me! I'm returning just because of the no phone number and the false advertising, plus the product wasn't any better at matching than my store-bought brand.
Never heard of this company until 7 debits were taken out of my account totaling $285.05. You are only able to communicate through email and they do not respond promptly. Long story short, file a dispute with your credit card company on day 1, it will be resolved quicker this way. Would love to meet these crooks face to face.
Was told to just pay shipping to try out some products, only to realize at the end that I'd be charged full price! I would NEVER pay $200 for makeup when I wear it probably once a month. There's no way to cancel your order. And everything is extremely overpriced.

Took a long time to come in… sent a letter to CS and BBB it came in 2 days later. Was water thin… didn't cover a thing… my 5.00 dollar store foundation is way better… want my money back have started a return. Doubt I'll see it…
I recently ordered free trial of foundation, concealer, and a brush for application. I received my package promptly, even though I live in Canada. Unfortunately the shade was too dark. When I contacted company, they returned my email quickly. They were kind and considerate, and asked me to give them another chance. So they are now sending the correct color. I appreciate their good business practice. Also their polite professional manor. The foundation is everything they say it is. Just hoping for right shade. Recommend this business
Ordered my first color - from the "quiz" to match- and I looked like i had clay on my face. Emailed and asked for help - they then send me a canned response on - oh what did you like about our product - NOTHING - i requested customer service to assist me in a better match. They then randomly send another match- yet and more of the canned responses. I email and request a color specialist to assist- again another canned response. They DO NOT care about their customers - and it is a big Bot reply program. Save your money.
The make-up did exactly the opposite of what was claimed by the seller, AND watch out for the codes they give you, it will prevent you from getting a full refund if you return the product. Also they don't reimburse shipping. My experience was terrible.
Purchased the foundation and found after paying that they'd charged me for an add on I hadn't even seen! No update to the basket with this in it (eye shadow palette costing £38) just money taken off my card. The first I knew was a separate email confirming a purchase I had no idea I'd made! Contacted company to be told they weren't able to cancel but to return for refund once received. Easier said than done …able to return the foundation but the order number for the add on mysteriously didn't work when I tried to enter it for a return! More emails and still waiting for a response- can't return it without a return order - really annoyed such unethical underhand aggressive selling

The reason I say go for it and try them out is because regardless of if the products suit YOUR skin and style their customer service is amazing so you aren't really taking a risk as if for whatever reason you don't like what you buy they will fully refund or exchange with no problem at all. They are really quick with responding to enquiries too so if there's anything you want to ask them before buying I suggest sending them an email and you will soon see what I mean…they really go beyond to try and make their customers happy!

Answer: I wasn't successful. I sent them pics of the reaction I am having in the exact areas I am using the product and all they had to say was,"your 30 day return period has expired". For a company that charges $45 for 1.7 oz of cream, that is very poor customer service.
